We love Dollywood, but we are not water park types. You do get the next day added if you go in after 3 PM, and that is what we usually do. Gives us an evening and a full day. If you are going to go 2 times or more during the season, the annual passes are the best bet, and we also have one of our party buy the gold pass. That person then buys all the food, etc., to take advantage of the discount for the gold pass holder.

It is scary. A few months ago I was checking my on-line bank statement status and found a series of charges from Las Vegas to Hollywood that added up to over $2,000. Havenot been there in over 15 years! My son the cop suggested, and i di, call the police, report it, and call the bank ASAP. Thankfully the bank was very helpful, got me a new ATM card, canceled the account and moved everything, and replaced the money. Filing the police report helped a lot in gettign all that done. It worked out fine, but it was a stressful day or two, and we still dont know how or when it happened that some

There is just not much on that stretch of I 64. You might think about the Bluegrass Parkway and My Old Kentucky Home State Park. Or in Lexington/Georgetown there is the KY horse Park or Whispering Hills, both nice.

While at the Fort we typically eat brekfast at the camper, put something in the crock pot and come back for lunch. We can eat, enjoy a quiet time in the heat of the day, then go back to the park(s) for the evening. We try to plan one "eat out" meal a day, otherwise it is cheaper and easier to eat at the camper. If we are at a park where it is inconvienient (or slow) to get back, then we eat lunch as our "meal out" and go back for the evening meal from the crock-pot. The crock pot makes it easier for DW, and the kids do the clean up so she is not feeling stuck in the kitchen on vacation.
