  1. I'm a little slow...but I'm learning that page 1 is a big deal so.. did I make it? :)
  2. Thank you. I actually have no idea if we have an electric water heater... I'll see if I can figure that out! Thank you, someone did suggest that on a different post and I checked our hose; there was a pressure regulator already on it :)
  3. Hi Fiends, I know where to connect the hose to our little camper... my question is, is connecting it all that I need to do? I remember reading about a water pump; do I turn something on?
  4. Okay... newbie question. We you being silly with this or are his suggestions a good idea? As someone who is just learning, his suggestions sound good to me. I've always been a big fan of the basics... and his suggestions sound like good, basic, steps. But, I've also read that using bleach is a no-no.
  5. I know, right? :) Like the new pic... saw your trip report, looks like you 'all had a great time!
  6. Yes, there is very little traffic at night...which is nice :) I usually drive and DH sleeps. Last trip we got lucky and both children went back to sleep...previous trip, even up in the middle of the night, they did not sleep. Too excited I guess :) Plus, what TCD said makes perfect sense:
  7. Thanks. Looks like we'll stay with our normal mod of operation... and leave really early :)
  8. :bump2: Just wondering if anyone else had experience with this. Typically we leave our home around 3am and arrive at the Fort (after stopping for breakfast) around 11am. This time we are considering driving down after work, which means we would pull in between 2a and 3a. Will they turn us away if they ask to park in the overflow?
  9. Thank you. Love your comment about Jesus and the nativity... I too wish it was more prominent, but am thankful that at least it was still there. Also...pictures of the castle, super pretty. Was that during Mickey's Christmas party?
  10. Thank you. We have annual passes and the trip next week, will be our second of three for this year so... I think we might spend one of those FPs on the parade as sitting there for an hour plus is well... a pain, especially for DH who has had 3 back surgeries (although he usually walks around with the kids and I'm left to defend our small blanket on my own :) )
  11. Hmm... I was actually thinking of the night/electrical parade. Thoughts on that one? We've seen it several times, but each time we've camped out about an hour before hand so the kids can sit in the front row.
  12. So... they stay closed, until we're ready to leave (or they're full)...then we pull the commode line first, then the grey line. Got it! :thumbsup1:
  13. Okay...so when we get the Fort and hook up our sewer, do you keep the tanks open (am I saying this right?). We went to a local dump station today (our first time and I think we did okay! :) ), and while we were there I was thinking... do you leave the pull lever out so that the sewer dumps each time or do you wait and dump when you need to?
  14. Update: I actually did NOT go with Discount, but rather went with Contractor's Tire who brought in Maxxis tires for me. Nice experience (I worked with Gene). The shop itself is not set up like Discount (I didn't go into their small office, but to pay, however I don't believe there was a waiting area). They appear to work mostly with the big boys (very large working trucks) and then the campers that Three Way refers to them. Not that this is a bad thing (I mean you're there for tires...right?), but I thought I'd let you know. Will say, that they got us in/out faster than Discount ever has
  15. Thanks Todd, will do. New tires were installed today, but we may look at increasing the tire size (which would require new rims) next time around. Hiccup this time, was the new rims. Tires themselves were expensive...so we weren't prepared to absorb the cost of new rims. We had considered it, but when I asked a local RV dealership, they told me that there wasn't really a benefit increasing from what we have now (a 14") to a larger (15"). One benefit I could see, in the larger tire, is that we might be able to get a D rated tire rather than the C we had to go with this time around.
  16. So I know it's only the 1st... but does anyone happen to have this? :)
  17. Just had to jump in and say... I am not a dog person. Actually, I've been on the receiving end of 3 very aggressive (large) dogs, so I have now developed a decent amount of fear of any dog walking around, not on a leash. I'm okay if they are on a leash, or if I can tell that they are good dogs. Unfortunately, over the years, we've had several dogs run wild in our neighborhood...including a pit that ran into our yard a few weeks ago (horribly scary as my DH and I were in the camper cleaning while our 7 and 2 year old were playing just outside the camper and the dog ran up to them...praise Go
  18. Thank you fiends. Scheduled the tire replacement for tomorrow; we're going with Maxxis.
