  1. So I called the shop and they do not hand pack them. He explained that they have a machine that uses pressure to push the old stuff out, then they put the new stuff in (I guess they just squirt it in there). I know that hand packing is the best way... but is the machine better then nothing? I don't feel qualified to pull the wheel off myself. DH is no more qualified. Thoughts?
  2. We have a trip planned in October and have the castle on our list for breakfast. This will be a special trip as my mother has very poor health and unless God touches her, this will probably be the last time she can physically take WDW. My daughter is now 7, but since finding out that I was having a baby girl, my mom has wanted the three of us to eat at Cinderella's Castle (after taking Boo to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique of course :) ). So... we're leaving the guys at the Fort and the three of us are going (well, once I make reservations that is...still 3 days out before I can reserve the
  3. We need new tires on the camper... best price I've found, was at a local tire dealership that a camper store (a dealership that we really like) referred us to. Tires are made by Triangle: 205/75/14 for $400 installed. They are a 6 ply radial tire. Is this good? Is Triangle a good brand? Our car tires are purchased from Discount, but this store was a few dollars cheaper however... Discount does have Taskmasker Provide ST Radial, also a 6 ply for just a couple of dollars more however. Thoughts?
  4. Thanks. We actually ended up at Camping World this past weekend and purchased one there :)
  5. Thank you. I checked the hose that came with the trailer this weekend (we just purchased a used camper about 8 weeks ago) and, turns out, it already had a pressure regulator attached :) It's for lower pressure, so we may switch it out if the current one doesn't now allow for enough flow.
  6. :rofl3: I'll make sure to never let you and my DH in the same room at once...
  7. Thank you both. Jen, I'll try that idea :) Thank you. Hmmm... maybe a little, but much more faint. It may be because they had just gone camping a couple of weeks before we purchased it; then we let the camper sit (closed up) for about 6 weeks before bringing it home...
  8. I would appreciate ANY suggestions on how to get rid of the smell we have in our new (used) trailer. My husband says it smells like "trailer"...personally I think it may be coming from the commode. I have air fresheners in there and have tried opening up the windows; that helped, but only a little. The previous owner said he put a small, small amount of water in the (toilet) tank, along with some sort of preservative. He said he does this when it's not going to used for a while. Could that be it?
  9. Looks like that one is currently $52.14 at Camping World: http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/adjustable-water-regulator-lead-free/49511 QUESTION: I read through the owner's manual for our camper (2006 model) and could not find any information on the PSI. How do I find out what is a safe PSI?
  10. I'd like to order a rug/mat for in front of our camper. Any recommendations? I found one at Camping World that I believe is similar material to this one on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Reversible-Mat-Brown-Beige-Patio/dp/B0042Z0E6E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1397235881&sr=8-1&keywords=rv+rugs+for+outside But I wonder if this will get slippery when wet? Any thoughts or suggestions?
  11. I don't have any info for you on the GC...but we'll be there that week as well! :) Hopefully we'll be in the 1500 loop.
  12. Sounds like they had a great (and easy, w/no set up or tear down) trip. Neat idea for one or two nights! :thumbsup2:
  13. Wheel bearings.... newbie question, I believe the wheel bearings need to be repacked. Found this video on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6ndN_9NQL4 Just wanted to ask opinions: is this how it is done? I found different videos from etrailer and it looks as though they took the wheel off completely to do this..? Guess the real question is, can I do this myself or should I have it done when we have new tires installed (price is $45/axle). Thoughts?
  14. 215 doesn't even sound all that "big" to me, but I agree.... waiting for the official weigh in, until you've waiting in line and finally reached the top, is just wrong. If they are going to enforce a weight limit, then I think they should put a (PRIVATE) scale at the bottom for those that want to check (kind-of like a height a ruler). Then they could have the official one at the top (unless they already are paying a CM at the bottom, then the official one should be at the bottom of the line).
