  1. Thanks. Dang... wish we had seen that before we removed the pressure release valve yesterday BEFORE emptying the water tank.... long story short, this created a leak that took us a few hours to clean up and dry out (we had to try and find/get all the water out). Fun times...
  2. Ours is leaking. We have an Atwood water heater. Here was the product description from Atwood: 140012 (91604) RELIEF VALVE 1/2 F/ALL ATWOOD WATER HEATERS. Any idea if we could use this camco part: http://www.amazon.com/Camco-10423-Temperature-Pressure-Epoxy-Coated/dp/B0006IX8AU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1402144580&sr=8-1&keywords=camco+1%2F2+pressure+relief Tom read on a website with the specific Atwood part, that the Atwood piece might require a special part to take it off/put it on. Looking at it, I can see why that would be Thoughts?
  3. Wow... I. AM. SO. LATE. to the game on this one! Kelly, looks like y'all are having a great time. Glad you've seen some good weather and I understand that the beach looked better last time but man... it still looks pretty darn good to me! :) Love the smiles on your little man's face :) Awesome family time!! Enjoy! Have a safe trip back...
  4. Looks like you've already got lots of great information; the only thing I'd add... is make sure to save a day for relaxing at the Fort. There is a lot to do there (or you can do nothing :) ). Have a WONDERFUL trip and... :welcome:
  5. French Press.. another one I've never done! Seriously, I think I need to step out of (my) same ol' - same ol' and try something different! :)
  6. Thanks Mo. I love this..if only because it reminds me of my grandmother. This may be sad to admit, but at (almost) 43...I've never once used a percolater. But if it makes SUPER hot coffee (I mean... burn my mouth it's so hot), then I think I may have to try it. Thanks again for the suggestion! I'm also considering a Keurig Mini as I've some nice and hot coffee with that brand of machine before but...goodness, they are not cheap!
  7. I have a Cuisinart at home and I LOVE IT... because it makes REALLY HOT coffee. It's great! Trouble is, it's a 12 cup machine so a bit big for our small camper (plus I'd like to buy a machine that I could leave in the trailer). Any recommendations on a smaller machine (i.e. 4 cup) that makes REALLY HOT coffee? :)
  8. Thanks fiends. Looks like cover if, if you have a nice bldg (or some sort of structure) to cover it. I've seen the tire covers advertised... but it doesn't look like the cover the bottom of the tires??
  9. Oh... you sweet mama. Reading that made me cry. Our little man only has a peanut allergy and I say "only" as it really is so simply compared to families such as yourself. I homeschool and one of the gals in our HS group, three of her children have anaphylaxis to peanut, tree nuts, dairy, sesame seeds AND calcium lactate (which I guess is different than a dairy allergy). I can't imagine how difficult that would be. So glad that Disney is working hard to provide safe foods for individuals with allergies. Yay for Disney!
  10. Okay... I think my husband may love you. Or, at least, this set up. Haha :)
  11. Curious if when you store your camper, is it covered? Tell me how and where (state) you store yours. Originally our plan was to store our camper in the driveway with a a tarp over it... but I'm wondering, is the the tarp really necessary? Does it provide good protection or is that protection not needed if I keep the trailer waxed and roof conditioned? We live in Georgia...so lots of rain, sun and humidity. Thoughts fiends?
  12. I agree with Mr. Ken! Hope your trip was magical and that the journey home is smooth. :)
  13. Okay...so sounds like the bubbles are normal then. Thank you :) What about the roofing material. Looks like something that might be a good thing to do, every 6 years or so. Kind-of like painting your house...helps to preserve the wood. Maybe I'm looking at it the wrong way though?
  14. Oh my... turns my stomach just reading that. I didn't know that disposable grill covers (like Carol mentioned) even existed... but now I'm not sure if that would even do the trick. Yuck
  15. So, basically, we just need to be at the Fort (when you 'all are) then follow you around and eat at everyone else's site. Yeah... we can do that :)
  16. :welcome: The Fort has two "tent" loops (although I think you may be able to rent any loop, with just a tent, if you're willing to pay the money). We've stayed in one of the tent loops, loop 1500 and had a HUGE (3 room) tent. PLENTY of room for both our tent and our large (12' x 12') canopy. I agree with the other fiends...golf cart is not necessary, but they are A LOT of fun :) If you can bring them, bikes will make your travels around the Fort easier. Also, try to have one day as a "Fort Day". There really is a lot to do at the campground itself. Have fun!
  17. We rented a trailer a couple of years ago from Moore Camper rentals. We had a nice experience. Our camper had a queen bed up front and four bunks in the back. Table and couch also turned into beds. At the time, the rental also included a golf cart. http://www.mcrfl.com/fort-wilderness-packages
  18. Two questions: 1) I washed my roof today and could feel several air "bubbles". Is that normal? 2) Has anyone ever used this: http://www.amazon.com/Liquid-Roof-Coating-Repair-Gallon/dp/B003K9XGTK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1401728593&sr=8-1&keywords=Liquid+Roof+RV+Roof+Repair+Coating
  19. We stopped there on our way down to the Fort last month. Not at the campground, but the store...or should I say, the service dept :)
  20. We too brought a small fridge when tent camping at the Fort. I think we have this one: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Magic-Chef-3-5-cu-ft-Mini-Refrigerator-in-Stainless-Look-ENERGYSTAR-HMBR350SE/203425045?N=5yc1vZc4mo
  21. Wow... LOVE this trip report! Cannot tell you how much my father would enjoy this cruise. He would have sat next to you during the Captain's seminar :) Your cruise is a longer one... any idea if there are shorter ones that take you through the canal? My poor mom gets extreme motion sickness (poor lady takes the drugs, wears the patches, heck she'd walk the cruise backwards if that would help but nothing makes a difference for her). They've gone on 3 or 4 cruises and while they enjoyed the trips themselves, it's stopped being "fun" for mom. Thanks for the photos and all the great informat
