Roller ... aka Ed 351
My times - the comparison 10K - my time 49:12 ... my closest competitor in a handcycle ... 28:47. He was younger and had years more experience, so :clint: 1/2 Marathon - me 1:50:14 ... 13 others - the fastest 43:33 (yes, he was faster then my 10K time) ... and the slowest - wait for it ... 2:15:12. :annce: I was NOT the slowest :batman: I didn't know there was a handcycle behind me! Marathon - me 4:11:49 ...4 others - fastest 1:32:24 (yes, he was faster doing 26.2 miles than me doing 13.1 ... he's also half my age) ... and the slowest 2:55:40. Faster than me ... but all four were younger and had lots more experience. The best part of my times ... The North Florida/South Georgia Veteran's Healthcare System wants me to compete on their team at the Nation Veterans Wheelchair Games!

You should post them here on your thread too in case people didn't see those. TCD I do have a couple I posted elsewhere slight incline up ... and huffing and puffing. I have a bunch more covering all four races that should be available for download some time tomorrow. When those free up, I'll choose some more to post here.
Tri-Circle-D 2,059
Great photos. Is that a camera on your helmet? So, Jason lugged that racing chair on an airplane for you- and you just hopped on it and did four races? Amazing! Way to go! TCD
Roller ... aka Ed 351
Great photos. Is that a camera on your helmet? So, Jason lugged that racing chair on an airplane for you- and you just hopped on it and did four five races? Amazing! Way to go! TCD Disney required a timed race to be eligible to compete in the chair at Disney ... so 3 days after I picked it up, I completed a 1/2 Marathon in Panama City to have said qualifying time. Yes, there was a lot of huffing and puffing going on.

Roller ... aka Ed 351
Surprise, surprise - my photos were available a day early. This was at the end of the 4th day ... my shoulder wasn't happy right then. After a little ice, I was in a better mood. Going around the Baseball Stadium at WWoS Does that railing look familiar? Cruising down the Boulevard ... I can hear the Halleluyah Chorus. Sprint to the finish! ... and that's the finish behind me. Checkered line on the Speedway Track BAH (don't ask) behind me Just the Bear Necessities Don't ask! Occupy The Castle! Cow Pasture Pool Mickey That orange ... sunrise, anyone. I wonder if I could ride one of those huge scooters that Lou likes to load on his bus? TCD

Roller ... aka Ed 351
and beyond! Today I completed the Tallahassee Marathon - a PR, 1st in the Wheelchair Division and 1st in my age group! I'm detecting a trend, here. EVERY race I've entered has ended up with a PR (Personal Record) time to finish. I know it has to end sometime, but I'm loving it right now.
