Place 1st Place in the Wheelchair Division and got special recognition during the Awards Ceremony - Announced, "Ed Russell. 1st Place in his Division. A Vietnam Veteran racing in a Handcycle. Let's congratulate him and Thank him for his Service!" This was from the same Race Director that registered me for HALF price! EVERYONE there was fantastic! I was trying to take it easy on the hills because it was raining and my brakes were wet. The first words from them, "Don't they know about the ADA?" The Space Coast Director is on vacation right now, but the Assistant Director is "looking into it".
