I won't bore you with the details, but once again work almost put a crimp in my plans. I seem to be on hurry up and wait mode all the time. My boss has a hard time understanding my need to plan vacations so far in advance, as he doesn't usually go to "events", he just takes off when work is slow.I had these wonderful plans to attend a training conference in Atlanta the three days before the weekend, and then just stay at Stone Mountain, but events happened that now that had to be moved to July.So about 11:30 I pull out of my office parking lot at work, and meet my son and Rick at Romano's and enjoy one last lunch before Kevin's move to Connecticut. Rick loves Karaoke and had a contest that weekend he was in and only came to the Rock for the big potluck on Saturday.Not much to tell on the drive. I tried the "go a little slower on teardrop time" drive to Stone Mountain and went through smaller towns. The drive was fine for the most part, except that I hit downtown Rome, GA right at 5 pm, and crawled along the "loop" at about 10 MPH. Got to the campground about 7 and got set up. Don't think I pulled out the camera on Thursday evening. Lorna remembered my OCD and made me take a break and have dinner with them. We were up pretty late Thursday night, and I finally went to bed about 1am.Got up at the crack of 9 on Friday and pulled out the camera.Doodle had arrived.Little Peanut's first camping tripNick and Ty over by Lorna's MHRich and BobThere's MikeTyand lots more FiendsSite 17Kim and Little H ready for the poolYes, you can have golf carts at Stone MountainMissy and TJ drove all night and arrived Friday morningThe little kids LOVED the blowup pool that Kathy broughtAll the Fiend sites all in a row!!Bob needed to print off a fishing license, so we took Richie's street legal golf cart over to the Marriott and I hopped on the back for a ride.Lake viewThe hotel is beautiful, but still a hotel Picture limit!!!
