Yes, we had one take us to our campsite and they installed a car seat for my 4 yr old. Don’t have to request a car seat they keep them in their car. Best $25 we spent

My daughter and I had a good time hunting tree frogs along the high banks of the canal behind the 1500 loop near the main campground road. Found two or three.

I will take part of the blame for that.  I have been very sick during 2017 and I am not a very public person.  The WWW group has known because we all talk privately on our phones.  However, I have been doing all I can just to keep my head up at work.  In addition, I was attacked at school after my surgery (to fix what was wrong) and had to immediately change jobs.  If you noticed, I disappeared.  I didn't mean to but something had to give and that is why I have some other people who help me in the background who I could not thank enough.  My goal in 2018 is to hopefully get everything back up to steam.  I cannot and will not beg people to come back, however, I can recruit new people to stop by for information.  I am not here to spread pixie dust, but the real deal.  I am working on being at Disney more often and reporting from there for the site.  The app will be updated this year come hell or high water and work on all platforms.  (or supergeek will not go to Blizcon, hahaha)  I apologize for not being the admin you expected me to be.  Unfortunately, when I get sick, I get really sick.  I will do better.  We will also be camping more and hopefully we can get some GG's planned for the year as well.  I know it is not much of a comfort for 2017, but it can be a building block for 2018.  Every site goes through ups and downs.  We have had our down and now it is time to go up again.

Best place to spot wildlife at the Fort in November was our site!  We were in 335 and it backs up to a bushy area with a small bit of canal behind, and is also fairly close to the big canal and back path to the Settlement.  We regularly had armadillos, turkeys, deer, raccoons, squirrels, rabbits, hawks and even eagles flying overhead.
We had a small freezer outside the camper and one morning there were raccoon prints all over it.  Thankfully they didn't get into anything, since we were already aware of the obnoxious squirrels and left nothing around, but the night after Halloween we came around our loop in the cart and spotted a couple on the back of our neighbors golf cart.  Apparently someone left candy out as there were wrappers everywhere.
The armadillos made a racket at night - you'd have sworn they were 6 feet tall from the noise. They spooked my brother and his wife their first night in the tent.
The hawks must have had a nest nearby as we saw and/or heard them every day.
One day a couple of deer popped out of the brush and our dog Lyn, who was in the pen at the back of the site, just about lost her mind.  We didn't see them again at our site for a few days, but saw them all over the Fort most days, especially in the evenings. One night we went over to the cabin pool fairly late, and when we jumped back on the golf cart and turned the lights on, there were 3 standing about 10-15 feet away.
Then there was the day Bz had a staring contest with a group of turkeys - the turkeys won.  LOL
There's an eagle's nest in a tree over by the lake, and we saw them overhead a few times too.
    It was a wild time!

The turkeys wander everywhere. I miss the peacocks I've got a picture of several at the Fort many years ago. They were beautiful.
I rode my scooter on the path between WL and FW one time about dusk. The deer were everywhere!! One actually jumped right out in front of me. Thought I was going to hit it.

I have a dog who loves to go for walks at 4 am.  Vacation makes no difference to him.  On our trip in October, on one walk around the 500 loop, we saw armadillo, turkeys, raccoons.  I usually seen 10 or more deer at a time on the trail to the lodge when I take my early morning bike ride.  Sometimes they are a hazard, since they are not really afraid of humans, they will stand on the trail itself and I have to weave my bike in and out of the group.  I have also seen bald eagles out by Bay Lake.  I have heard owls many times, but they are somewhat elusive and I have only seen them a couple times, but if you are patient and follow the hoots, you can find them high in the trees.
A couple of years ago I was on a morning walk with my dog.  He is a 75 lb golden doodle.  A golf cart came by with a mom, dad and young boy about 3.  The parents must have told the kid they were going to see wildlife, because as soon as he saw my dog, he pointed at him and said "look, Dad, wildlife!"

We would frequently see turkeys and various wading birds along the canal between the 1300 loop and Meadows sports field in the morning around sunrise. Wandering around the loop late at night we have come across armadillos several times.

You could check out the bat house for any activity, I haven't checked in awhile not sure if TCD or anyone else has or not. We used to see the turkeys a lot in the 500 loop but I think they just wander.

You can usually find deer, Turkey and gators around the main canal behind 1500. Lots of deer at dusk along the path between the fort and the lodge.

    Awesome Podcast!!
Only two little notes. The partial hookup sites - Loop 1500 and 2000 also have cable now.
Loop 2100 was recently converted from a cabin loop to a Full Hookup loop.

I know most of you already know all about the differences in preferred, premium and full hook up but it's still a confusing topic for some people. Thanks to @Tri-Circle-D for shedding some light on why the categories are the way they are. Hope ya'll enjoy it.

    We're glad too!

Wow... they're nothing if not consistent!
It's truly remarkable that after all these years, they're still shooting themselves in the foot by banning new people who are looking to contribute good content, simply because they post here too.  Seriously kids... it's been 6+ years and when was the last time anyone even mentioned Fort Fiends over there? I haven't pointed my browser in that direction in years at this point and  anyone that's joined there in the last 4-5 years probably knows nothing about "The Great Brouhaha." THEY are the ones keeping the nonsense alive by continuing to behave like pouty children.
But then again, if they're continuing to rely on us here to scavenge content, they probably don't want to risk being called out on it.   Again.
