  1. Presumably easier when you have a camper, I'm not much further and seemed to take me ages to pack up everything last time after a 3 day trip.
  2. Yep I know, doubt I'd be doing any of the other attractions. I've done madam Tussauds in London and various Sea Life centers before. Agree it's not Disney, I did Legoland Windsor before Disney so had an idea what to expect. Maybe a little less over whelming for young kids, if Disney is Magic then Legoland is more of a safe happy place especially for those with autisium. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  3. We got 3 awesome passes and 1 Awesomer pass (mine). Upgraded mine for the 10% discount and the free parking. Didn't seem much point upgrading more than one, no black out dates. We got there about 5 on the Friday, check-in was from 4 which is a shame, as I would have liked to drive there at lunch and worked there remotely for the afternoon while the wife and kids did the park. Anyway check-in is drive through like the fort, the difference being there is no outpost drive through is all there is. Photo is from the resort side of the check in but you get the idea, check in a lit
  4. Not Disney this time, but thought people might find this interesting. A bit of back story I live in Bradenton so normally I'd do Legoland in a day, since it's only 90 minutes away. However 3 weeks ago my father in law ended up in hospital and for various reasons the closest hospital that would take him was Lake Wales. This is almost two hours depending on the traffic and the at least the route my GPS took me was very tiring to drive on the way back after visiting him in the evening. In total a trip to see him would mean 5 hours out of the house for about 20 minutes actual visiting.
  5. Expect a phone call from Disney trying to give you follow up information if you enter this.
  6. I'm trying to get a reservation for New Year's and have contacted Jason. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  7. We had 1504 last time, I'd asked to close to the comfort station. I have a 9 year and a 6 year old with autisium, road wasn't a problem. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  8. Can't help with the loop info, I tent camp. However I have used HelloFax to send online faxes, I went with it because of the google docs integration. They'd received it when I checked in at the Fort in March so it works.
  9. My wife and daughter went to Legoland two weeks ago for a girl scout day (good deal $30 each). Traffic on 75 and I-4 wasn't bad, but they got stuck for an hour once they got off I-4.
  10. I have serious problems with my upstairs temperature. There is a zone damper with a thermostat and booster fan, but no separate unit. We've had some one look at it, and he confirmed that when the a/c was but in they didn't really consider the upstairs. Apparently it's cold at the vent but there is no pressure. It's 80F in here already.
  11. Was looking at the water park season passes, quite a saving for FL residents with the after 2pm pass. Is it necessary to go for the full day to make the most of them or will the after 2 pm pass do?
  12. Very few cartoons on Disney Channel now days, mostly why I paid for better cable to get Disney Jr and XD. I kept seeing commercials for Andi Mack before it aired, and figured out the 'big plot twist' from the commercials.
  13. Leaning towards getting a road trip, at some point I need to buy a grill for home, a camp stove and possible a gas grill to take camping. It seems this covers all three. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  14. Just got a new BJs flyer. They have the stainless table top grills, although I'm actually considering the bigger portarble grill with legs. I don't have a grill at home at the moment and was debating where to put one. Patio is screen and covered so probably not a great idea. No yard to speak of as I back onto a golf course. Some around here park there grills at the side of the house, but may be simpler for me to buy one of the better portable ones for both at home and camping. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  15. I agree I like nothing better on a vacation than to park the car once I get there and not move it again until I go home. Used to manage this quite a bit on vacations in England. Given that things are generally a lot more car centric here, it's really nice not to have to drive at Disney. Plus Epcot is actually one of the few places where both of us tend to have an adult beverage. Prior to last year I was the only one in the house driving so being able to have an adult beverage at a place I'm not sleeping is a bit of a novelty.
  16. I was considering buying a grill anyway so paying attention to this thread.
  17. The fish and chips at the Yorkshire chip shop (Rose and Crown takeout), are good. Although the UK beer cart has a better section of beer. I also liked the food at the Akershus Royal Banquet Hall.
  18. The service worked out great for me. I had already shipped the big stuff out and the plan was what was left would go in cases with us when we moved across the Atlantic. I under estimated what was left, hence using this service. Once we realized they weren't being taken in checked baggage, I crammed more stuff in. I left the cases at my Mum's house, requested the service online the night before we left for the airport and they were picked up and turned up in Florida a few days later. I think it was actually fedex that delivered them, they just had a label stuck to the cases. The biggest p
  19. Shipping suitcases is certainly possible, I shipped two very heavy large cases internationally last year. So you should certainly be able to ship domestically. https://www.sendmybag.com/quote I've no idea if they'll collect from FW though. On the topic of the weather I've spent two Decembers in Florida, the first was 2014 when we were visiting family. Going to the beach December 26th, you could easily tell who was from out of state. There was a mix of people sunbathing, and people in winter coats. My inlaws were hiding under a blanket until giving up and going back to the car.
  20. That's also what Universal and SeaWorld do, depending on the level of hotel you stay at you get free express passes. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  21. Yep good thing you can turn the music off. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  22. Never made it to DLP, we were visiting family in Florida every 2 to 4 years so there didn't seem like much point. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  23. Next trip to Disney is likely to be early June as we've only used 2 if a email day ticket so far. I need to drop family off at Orlando airport then so will probably do a few ours at Epcot then. Longer trip planned for Christmas but can't get booked at FW so staying off site unless something opens up. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  24. Last day, we planned too much. Had Ohana booked for breakfast as my daughter is mad on Lilo and Stitch but soon realized we wouldn't be packed away in time. My wife tok the kids without me. Left over pizza, my breakfast. What I missed Wouldn't book a breakfast for the last day when I'm tent camping again. I think in hindsight we would have done Ohana in place of Garden Grill. Got packed away in time to grab a shower and a coffee before moving the car to the overflow lot and getting the bus to Disney springs. Met the family and had lunch in T-Rex, we've eaten here before and
  25. Originally from the UK, my wife is from Massachusetts but but spent the last ten years in the UK. Moved here (Florida) last June, to be closer to her parents who retired down here a number Iof years ago. We shipped the camping equipment, given it by design fits the criteria if compact and expensive. Plus we only bought the tent recently. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
