We recently ate at the California Grill. We had dined there previously and were rather disappointed in the experience. This time was much more pleasurable!
We waited to get a window seat.

Our server was Fantastic! I hate it, but for the life of me I can't remember her name right now. It's not a quiet restaurant, but it seemed quieter than when we dined here previously. They have an open kitchen, which contributes to the atmosphere.

Crabstack, (this was the only real failure!)

Overall impression: I enjoyed the experience. The food was much better and some parts were incredible. The only thing that was a real disappointment was the crab stack, it was inedible. The view of the fireworks from here is incredible.
I would not pay oop to eat all three courses here. It was great as part of the dining package! I would definitely return and have an appetizer and dessert!

Had ours not been crated, they would not be with us today.

Lorna, we need to get together and eat lobster one day! I love lobster and I know how to eat it...I even suck the meat out of those tiny little legs! I was born in Maine, but my parents used to say that I hated lobster until we moved away and it started to cost twice as much! :laugh:

I wanted to chime in here with some pictures I took of Edward and Give Kids the World. I'd also like to join Edward in thaning the Fiends that donated to GKTW through his run!


I didn't realize the families stayed in houses. I would think that makes it very nice for them to have the comfort and room of a home. It must be so difficult to see your child's name on one of these signs







I just want to take a minute to say how proud I am of Edward for doing this 5k! This was him 1 1/2 ago, walking at Relay for Life just 3 weeks after he got out of the hospital!

He's come a long way! I am proud of his insanity determination to do the 1/2 marathon in January!

I'm so glad I was wearing my Fort Fiend shirt that day at the settlement! I enjoyed meeting y'all and look forward to hearing all about your trip!

It is clear that little old lady in the striped hat is the leader of this rude, obnoxious, foul-mouthed crew! I'm not going to make any sarcastic remarks about "drunken or socially immature" because those terms might have applied to a few of us that day! :rofl2:

Here's the ticket, get a nice class C and find a decent light-weight travel trailer to pull behind. Two RV's, two kitchen's, Two baths, One engine to upkeep, 4 people happy, cost effective!
