Sounds like they found a way to raise the prices

The Parks (especially WDW) have to make up for the losses of ESPN.
Like someone stated in another post, Disneyland caters to locals and WDW caters to the whole world.  So if they gouge someone that is visiting for the first time or haven't been there in 10 years, they don't know any better, or don't care because they are at DISNEY!
It's the WDW repeaters that have seen the changes and deterioration in service and the increase of charging for something that used to be free.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.  Disney should embrace this and call it what it is.....The Year of a Million Schemes.  Then they could make money by making fun of making money....by selling Year of a Million Schemes tshirts, coffee mugs, pins, etc.  

I can see the value in this service not only faster transportation but saves a ton of walking and I am assuming since you come and go from inside the park no bag checks?  But what a slap in the face to passholders to have to pay $15 a day.  They give a break to the people that pay for 2 to 10 days but no break for people that pay for hundreds of days and probably go less than 30 days.

Did you ever see anyone in or around the bungalows? 
The times I've been near them, they always look deserted. 
If i was paying that much to stay in one i would be perched on the deck all day and night with the patio doors open the A/C on high, the music blasting while drinking numerous adult beverages.

Always amazed how things come in waves....nothing for months then two in one day. At least nobody found one on Peter Pan!

I'd love it to be there for our Christmas trip, but I'm not getting my hopes up. 

I would choose May over August. I think Judy is still a travel agent, but Jason is the one most reccomended and helps support this board.

I liked the lunch menu so I am sad to see that go.

You could pick up the other Millers in High Point. Safe travels & have a great time.

This just gave me a thought. There is an Amish market about an hour from my house that has unbelievable Apple Fritters. And I happen to be camping about 15 minutes from there tonight. Hmmm.

I've been waiting for a firsthand report from here - thanks for sharing Rita! 
This is high on the list for our December trip.

I took Ed out for lunch today. It was a late birthday lunch so we splurged. We are both glad we did. You can order of the dinner menu or you can order from lunch, light bites or $28 for 2 choices from a special section that includes appetizers and entrees. They are less portion wise than the dinner menu. Ed ordered dinner menu. I ordered lunch.
We started with the Bread service. Ed liked it, I liked part of it.


The green stuff was especially good.
Ed ordered the lamb duo. He raved about it!

I ordered black eyed pea fritters and the 72 hour short rib. The rib was fabulous! It was not braised. It was med rare and so tender I cut it with a butter knife. It is served with chimichurri. The rice with it sucked. Neither of us thought much of the fritters. Ok, but would not repeat.



They brought Ed a birthday treat

We also ordered dessert, a duo of sorbets, lychee and dragon fruit with lime sauce and other stuff I don't remember. I also didn't remember to take a picture! Lol
Overall, we enjoyed our meal. The lunch option is a reasonable and the dinner is not too over the top. Bonus, it was cool and quiet! There is an outdoor area that would be really nice when it is cooler.

So they tell people to stay in their rooms and the ones who don't get characters and candy. Nice lesson.

Now??  Kind of poor timing, isn't it?  Unless someone needs to batten down the rivers of light.

We are already getting some off and on rain and little breeze. We have had so much rain in the past few weeks that our yard is already soggy. Thankfully, no big trees close to the house.
