  1. This just keeps getting better and better. Maybe the musket thing is their perception of USA everyone has a gun even Mickey.
  2. :welcome2: There are sites that you will fit on and there are sites that you won't. But don't :panic: I second Jason's advise to be sure and have your new size requirements noted on your reservation. Disney will get you into a site that suites you. I would keep an eye out for a full hook up or Premium site as well. Personally, I don't care for the preferred loops. The only thing Preferred is the location. They are for the most part more tightly packed in and tend to be on the short side. Many of the sites require that the TV is parked either sideways very near the road or in the overflow p
  3. OK now that I'm convinced this is a real TR and not one of Dave's fakes. I'm in. and congratulations 20 years is a great start. Looks like you picked a great place to relax.
  4. Did you notice that Disney has already declared "Frozen" a classic and put a short clip in the montage? I am sure it will be but doesn't it take some time before you can call it classic?
  5. I have never had a Digiorno pizza as bad as Trails End. The real shame is the Pizza used to be pretty good from TE years ago.
  6. You know the reservations site does not show what we call partial hook up sites. It shows them as Tent or Pop up sites. I am sure I have read on Disney's site that only tents, pop ups, truck and van campers are allowed. But Disneys server was down just now when I tried to look it up. However, I have seen TT, class A, and even a school bus in the 2000 loop. Forgot to mention that even though 2000 loop was only 1/3 full there was still a jerk playing loud music with 4 cars on the site and 15 bikes laying in the road.
  7. I have a hard time believing there are that many but even so where do the sites come from that show up when I asked for 4 days?
  8. I was outvoted Saturday night and we tried the takeout at Trails End and I hope that's the worst pizza I ever try, anything worse may kill me. Way to much red stuff (I won't call that sauce) There was maybe enough cheese (if that's what the white stuff was) and pepperoni if they had put it all on 2 slices and the crust is plain and stuck between being to thick but not not thick enough to be deep dish. But hey, it was fast, only took 11 minutes. I also tried the chicken wings because I knew the pizza was not going to cut it for me. The wings were large whole, not cut in sections and very g
  9. Our DD and granddaughter who have moved out of state was spending some time with us unexpectedly this weekend. So Saturday morning about 930 I was trying to think of something special to do together and I looked on whim to see if anything was showing available at the Fort. Well low and behold there was a premium site available. Now we usually stay in a partial hook up site to save money but I pitched the idea and 3 1/2 hours later we are pulling into the fort for a one night stay. I have long suspected that the reservation system pushed the premium sites and this trip proved it. After setti
  10. I'm in. Is it a selfie if more than one person is in the picture? 11. Oh look another way to increase prices. Will the drinks cost more in the summer, coffee and hot chocolate in the winter?
  12. Welcome, We too have stayed on that site. Love seeing old pictures of the fort when it still had some wilderness. Do you remember how many total miles you traveled for this trip? We have never done a really long trip it sounds like fun.
  13. I love my old EVO. It has been a great phone. I had a flip phone before that was only a phone so it was a huge step up for me. My wife and daughter have gone through I don't know how many iPhones. However, I just got a letter from Sprint telling me the as of 11/3/2015 they are discontinuing the old 4g network and my phone will no longer have data service so I guess I will be forced to retire my EVO and go through the headache of learning a new phone.
  14. Why would a truck break just from running over a phone? I swear by Otter Box cases. My phone is an EVO 4G from 2010. I don't know how many times I've dropped it or had things bang into it at work out in the shop and the phone looks brand new. They are very bulky and heavy but it's good protection for the phone sans Otters of course.
  15. The room service meal is still free right? 7.95 is like a delivery fee. Sounds to me like they are trying to help cover the cost of delivery and clearing the dishes and maybe even the cost extra inventory of service items that they have to carry because they are spread around the ship instead of where they can be quickly cleaned and reused. SMB if you ask me.
  16. We have a Coleman popup as well and what we have started doing is going out the door sideways with the swinging door to our back and hold onto the door frame going down the first step. There is a small ledge that the top sits on when closed that I use to brace on when going down the last step. There is a campground that we go to from time to time that we have to put boards under the tire on the door side to level the trailer and this makes the first step going in extra high. When I know we are going there I bring 2 concrete stepping pads and stack them to make a third step so it's not so hig
  17. Agree on the wiring job. The they should have at least bundled the wires and taped them together. From Jayco's Owners manual Replacement and maintenance Some equipment in your RV will draw small amounts of current even when turned OFF. To prevent the auxiliary battery from being discharged when your RV is not connected to shore line power, disconnect the auxiliary battery negative cable at the battery. During storage, it is important to check the voltage monthly and recharge the auxiliary battery as needed. If you remove the auxiliary battery from your RV, store it in a dry, cool area pe
  18. This is a very cool upgrade. Thank goodness Disney farmed it out to an outside vendor and didn't let the MDE and MB crew try to set it up. I would hate to have to schedule my laundry 180 days out only to find out when I arrived that the system had crashed and Disney put a bucket and a HDDR wash board in front of the door.
  19. If you can decide about the APs at the end of this trip you can up grade whatever tickets you bought to APs and you will get credit for the original purchase. However, you have to do the upgrade before you use the last day on the ticket. The AP will be valid from the first use of the original tickets so if your next visit will not be for a while I would just wait and pay full price.
  20. I can't see that happening at the fort. They just spent some money on improving the dog park.
  21. Thanks for the report. Glad ya'll had a great time. Disney really should do a better job cleaning up the horse poop. They make a ton of money on those carriage rides not to mention the campsites. Pop up ACs can have trouble keeping up in direct sunlight unless you use bunk end solar covers.
  22. Wow that doesn't sound FREE to me. Rack rate + Premo tickets.
