When I was a kid we camped at Fort Pickens often. We could see them coming and going from the NAS across the bay. I always thought that was so cool. We were fishing off the pier in the bay and saw 3 of them leave the runway together and head out way over the gulf. Then another took off to catch up. It was cartoon like how fast he caught up and got into formation. It was also very impressive to see aircraft carriers come and go by the pier. They were so huge and seemed to take 15 minutes just to sail by and you could see them forever it seemed as they headed out to sea.

Like the others have said you may wash on your site. Last I heard the pros can still wash your RV in the overflow parking lot just not at your site because of noise from pressure washers and buffers.

I remember seeing Darby O'Gill and the Little People several times as a kid. It's probably been 40 years since I saw it last. I'm going to DVR that one and see if I still can get all the way through the movie. I saw The Three Caballeros but I am not a big fan of Donald. The others I don't remember.

I can not believe Disney would do that. That is just so outrageous. They need to send the pictures to Disney and ask for a refund of every penny they ever spent on a Disney product. To the OP there are not too many tents out there that with a little practice can't be set up easily. I would probably not rent from Disney just based on price but after seeing those pictures there is no way I would rent a tent from Disney. They truly deserve their money back and then some.

If you got into a preferred site then FH should be much easier. When the old FH sites were turned into the now premium very few sites were lengthened. They just paved over the pad, added about 2' or so to the width and widened the entrance. They also changed out the grills and picnic tables. There are longer and shorter sites in all level of campsites. They are laid out by the lay of the land so to speak. As others have said just be sure to disclose your rigs size when booking.

Welcome If you are staying with a partial hook up site the only other choice you have is 1500. I agree with Carol I like the layout of the sites in the 2000 loop better but not a fan of the large groups that seem to take over the loop on weekends. Also not a fan of the location if we don't have a golf cart. There are only 90 partial hook up sites at the fort and 69 of them are in the 2000 loop so odds are that's where you will end up. If you are willing to go full hook up the 1600 loop is the next best thing to 1500 location wise. Most on the board like the 1700 the sites are a little more

Don't expect the line to shrink too much. I think this will only add 33% through put and with it being "New" again everybody will want to ride. For the line to really be reduced they need to give us something else to do. But glad to see they are doing something to help and not just trying to make a place for a longer line with "fun" things to do while in line.

Would be good to get availability but I am pretty good at knowing when the cycle is complete.
