Probably just put a circle around it with a slash through it.  But this really stinks.  Fishing is a big part of camping for a lot of people.

I have a rule that I wish men would adopt.  If you need a bra to go topless you should wear a shirt even in the pool.  I do.

Women needless to say are exempt from this rule.

Making me miss living in Florida and it's barely been a month.  Fort Desoto was the first place we camped when we got back into land camping after selling the boat that we used for camping out in the gulf.

This is a great campsite finder. Its on Touringplans.com, not sure if you need to be a member to view individual campsites.

Sounds like a strange argument to me.  Cadillac might not be as expensive as you think if you are willing  to buy a Chevy.

Oh look another way to increase prices.  Will the drinks cost more in the summer, coffee and hot chocolate in the winter?

If the trams are the same as the parking lot trams I'm glad there are gone.   Those things are loud.  Could you imagine camping near a bus stop and hearing the safety spiel they do now over and over and over and one more time because someone got on after they said no more boarding.  If we need more transportation add more buses.  you only need 1 CM to drive a bus.  The trams take 2.

We enjoyed our trips in the 90's and early 2000's more than the more resent trips.  While I made a lot less money back then I could better afford the trips.  We loved the petting zoo with Minnie Moo and all the other animals.  We went to River Country so the pool being plain did not bother us.  We didn't feel like we had to get a golf cart back then because we felt safe riding bikes for transportation.  Most sites had a lot more privacy than they do now.  I liked that the courts all had balls available at the court and all the nets were always in great shape. I don't ever remember seeing a tetherball pole without a ball or swing sets without swings plus they were in a lot more locations.  There just seemed to be more interesting things to see and do.  The peacocks, the walking trails, the props around the fort like the water wagon, the covered wagon, the ice cream wagon, lawnmower tree, the travel trailer they had on display by Pioneer Hall.  I guess part of it has to do with memories of our DD and her friends and our friends' kids and the fact that going to the Fort was new to us.  I don't remember it being hard at all to get a reservation except for holiday weekends and even then you only had to book a month or two out.  I also don't remember soooo many rude and me me me people.  They have made a lot of improvements over the years that I do like.  I like the pool upgrade with the slide, kid splash area, accessibly lifts, a lot more seating, and the hot tubs.  While they didn't enlarge the footprint of the pool filling in the deep end did increase the number of people that could be in the pool.  Without a diving board or being allowed to run and jump in the pool the deep end was kind of a wasted space which mostly just had a few people holding on to the edge of the pool.  I like that they added cable and internet to all the sites and I like they made some sites premium to more easily fit the big rigs and offer an all paved site. (I just wish they had not done so many) I love that they will now have WiFi everywhere.  I'm sure the pet lovers are thrilled to now be able to bring their pets and they even built a dog park and many dog walking areas.  Things change.  Always have and always will. I just think there was a lot more to do back then.

Except for the busiest Holiday weekends you can tell the guard ANYTHING and show a drivers licence and they let you in.  Disney really doesn't care.  They hope to sell them a coke or something.  How hard is it to spot a local car, local ID, carload of people in bathing suites with towels and coolers. Barney Fife could catch 90% of them.

Will we have to use one of our fast pass+ for the scanners and are they going to increase the number of FP+s so we don't have to give up one of our tier 1 rides? Will we have to take off our MBs to go through the scanners.  What about the metal plate in my head?  If I have to have it removed my hair just won't part right.

The new kitchen and bathroom look nice BUT they broke the theming. Are they going to rename the Cabins?  The Contemporary Cabins is more in line with the look than Fort Wilderness Cabins.  I hate that .  I agree with TCD that couch is way out of place and will be a much bigger hassle to setup and teardown than the Murphy bed.  Why couldn't they do something like this with different colors. (We all know why) It is nice they are renovating just wish they could have stayed closer to the wilderness theming.

Great attraction.  Disney doesn't make rides like this anymore.  It is very reminiscent of Spaceship Earth.  It even had a nod to CoP.
Here is a video of the complete ride.

Memphis got a reaction from keith_h in October Bookings
Right now there are all level of sites available Monday- Friday even with FL res. discounts.  So except for the weekends which are always tough to get there is availability.  I would rather they do a whole loop at a time rather than it always seeming like they are working everytime I go.  Even if they are just trimming the trees and leveling the sand pads. It would be tough to do without impacting guest.  Not to mention the added burden of safety of the kids that are going to want to watch the work.  This is one of the few cases that I think management is right.

Closest site is in 1600 loop is about 300 yards away, 1900 loop is 800 yards.  Having a 31/2 year-old in your group I would stay away from the 1900 loop. Most of the sites in that loop have 8 to 20 inch drop offs around the sides and back of the sites that could cause a toddler fall. Sites 1627-1637 are the ones near the comfort station.
