Great start!
I actually had a lime green ford truckster just like the one in Vacation....way back in the 80's and we took a spontaneous trip to Disney World with my parents, my sister and her three little ones, my youngest DD and me all in the family truckster. My Mom's name is Edna. That was one crazy trip. My oldest was performing at Epcot in a dance show for thanksgiving and we all decided to jump in the truckster to go and watch her.

I have said before that as much as I want to not like BLT, I have to admit that it is a very nice looking building, and the rooms look pretty sweet too.

While at SWW, I saw this bobble head and had to get it. It'll remind me of Stef.
Yoda is wearing Mickey ears and is holding a Mickey ice cream bar with a bite taken out of it.

Not being able to work on Thursday and Friday because of Jury Duty, I found it necessary to put myself on-call for a Sat. night shift. Of course they called. Do you want a 6:30 pm to 12:30 am shift? I took it.
That's ok, so what if I only have one day to take care of that list, I can do it, I will do it.
As usual Buddy was up at 5am and so was I now, but I went back to bed after I took care of him. It's like have an infant.
Up at 7am, grab a bite and off to WDW.
In addition to the items on the list, I wanted to stop by the Grand Floridian and say hi to a friend that works there.
Ollie, the greeter. We became friends when we both worked there years ago. He's one of nicest guys I've ever met. If you're ever at the GF, say hi to Ollie.
Parked in the CM lot and walked over, but no Ollie, oh well.
Hop on the Monorail and it's off to the MK

I say they changed their mind and their keeping it open because they are not gonna go ahead with the Settlement changes and leveling for the parking lot in that area, because they decided the DVC Fort idea was numbskulled. Yeah, Yeah....I am gonna stay in that world for at least the rest of the night......with the help of some chilled beverages.

I was in need of a disney planning fix so I reserved our Kenny cart for Feb 2013 today. $210 for 6 days. I think it is even cheaper for a longer rental. Bought annual passes couple days ago for two 2013 trips before price hike. Even though next trip is 8 months away it makes it seem closer when these things get checked off the list! Now if I can only get my DD3 into the new Beauty and the Beast Restaraunt when they start taking ADRs.....

They had the CM tour day last week before it opened.
Duh, it was held during the day, so all the CMs, me, that work days couldn't go.
Epcot
The "Sounds Like Summer" concert series is starting this wekend.
It's an Eagles tribute band this weekend. Althought they're very good, I've seen them a couple of times, so I might skip it, we'll see.

Today was the grand opening.
I only went to DAAR once from DHS, but no one got on at the park or at the resort.
It was like a ghost town at the resort and I didn't see anyone waiting at the DHS bus stop.

Working at WDW, and for a lot more than a year, hasn't thought me anything about how to deal with gays because there was nothing to learn.
I attempt to treat everyone as I want to be treated.
However, I'm for, don't ask, don't tell, and don't flaunt it, no matter your preference.

Updates are fast and furious! I have never been in the Norway church either. I'll have to check it out. It's amazing what the 'ritas will do to you on a hot day like that. If I am ever there at the same time as you, you'll probably catch me lurking around your lamp post. I showed it to my wife last night and we both love it! I think I read on another thread that you are going to make the matching Minnie post? That should be pretty wicked awesome when you have both. (All references to the term "wicked awesome" are due to another fiends recent trip to Boston and in honor of Lou's Boston knowledge.....I cannot be held responsible). Now we resume our regulary schedule TR response post. Mmm....buffalo chicken sandwiches...

Sometimes I disagree with things other people do or believe in, but then I don't have to follow suit and do them. I've never thought about renting a plane and "airing" my grievances on a banner for thousands to see. Don't get me wrong, I can be as opinionated as the next person sometimes, but flying my opinions over WDW seems like not the correct time/place. If people want to wear a certain colored plain t-shirt, I have to ask, who cares? I have seen other tour groups of near a hundred people walk around with the same t-shirt on and causing problems, but as far as I could tell they weren't being asked to change their t-shirts. I have been at WDW during this same period before and couldn't have cared less. I don't agree or disagree publically with the lifestyle we are discussing or anyone else's because it is none of my business. If anyone of any lifestyle, etc is acting in a leud, rude, or criminal manner hopefully Disney would deal with that. Otherwise who cares......oh yeah obviously some dude and his banners. What a waste of time and money. On another note, we have had no fly zones around many sports stadiums in this country for anti-terrorism efforts, why can people fly planes like this over thousands of people at WDW?

Last week I had to get a new cell phone. The lady who waited on me was a riot. When she pulled up my contacts to make sure they were all reloaded, who's name did she click on?

Crowd levels at the parks are picking up.
The Art of Animation resort is opening later this month and it's bus stops at the parks are ready to go. Lots of new buses and drivers have been added to handle the load.
Fantasyland stuff is coming online.
The weather is getting hotter, it's getting very exciting.
Summer time is the longest busy stretch at WDW. While it's just a tad less busy than the spring break period, it lasts much longer. Can't wait.
Come on down and ride the Magic Bus with me.
