Here's the thing... (and I'm not saying neither team deserved to go because honestly, I've watched very little of them playing this year) I don't care what the commissioner is saying, they DID know it mattered. The PAC 10 and Big 10 used to get hammered for not having a conference championship. There were times where they didn't go to the BCS championship game, and the argument was that they didn't play a conference championship game. So for anyone in power at the Big 12 to act like they're surprised that matters is just silly. They knew. And they can control it. They need to get two more teams. However, my understanding is that the TV deal Texas has makes people not want to join the Big 12. They got TCU and West Virginia, and they need to go out and find 2 more teams who want to play big boy ball. 

I'll sing Christmas carols cheaper than the $30 for a special band! Dominic the donkey is my specialty.

TCU is ranked 4th.
Baylor is ranked 8th.
They both have one loss.
TCU was beaten head to head by Baylor.
Jeff Long continues to say big head to head wins are huge in the eyes of the committee. Um, Baylor beat TCU.
Granted Baylor lost to a ranked West virginia team and TCU beat them......but TCU's last second win against West Virginia can only be described as lucky.
Long story short, the committee is lacking and the NCAA sanctioning this garbage is further proof that they S (big-time) MB.

Ok. That was long enough. I'll continue now.
Oregon is getting a large amount of their ranking credit due to beating Michigan State soundly.
Oregon is ranked 2nd.
Ohio State just beat Michigan State soundly. They are ranked 8th.
Both teams lost to unranked teams.
OSU is 8th but Oregon can leapfrog the undefeated defending national champions? Makes perfect sense.

Ok.
I think I am on record as being not the biggest fan of FSU currently.
However, I am here to point out yet another instance of stupidity involving the so-called experts on he playoff committee.

How in the hell does Oregon leapfrog FSU into the #2 slot.

As many of you know, I was selected to race on the Achilles Freedom Team of Wounded Veterans during the Marine Corps Marathon.
Friday, October 24th, I flew out of ECP on my way to Washington, D.C. Delta Airlines got off to a bad start.
6 weeks previously, I had called and let Delta know that I was flying with a wheelchair and a racing chair. It was all set - help would be available and the chairs fly free.
No help was available at ECP; at first they said the racing chair was too large to fly - even though the same chair clay and the same class airplane all the time; the cargo supervisor came.in, took one look and said, "no problem"; then they tried to say I would have to pay $150 to fly the chair on each leg - $300 to D.C.; when I said it was supposed to fly free, they got snooty; they said there was no information about the fee being waived - I pointed out they said it flew free, so there was no fee to waive; it started to go downhill, until I insisted they contact the CRO at Delta's headquarters; suddenly, they said they would do me a favor and waive the fees.
More to come ... this was mainly to celebrate my 10000th post.

Guests have a reasonable expectation that they will get to ride all the rides at the parks.
Your buying a ticket that allows you access to the rides and attractions.
It's not like a restaurant where people generally know they fill up and even at a restaurant there's still a chance someone might cancel and you can get a seat.
How can they turn people away from a ride?
Do they have signs before you enter the MK telling you it's a FP+ only ride?
I'm sorry but that is an absolutely stupid idea and IMHO would piss off way to many people to justify even running a test.

I do this myself since my wife often accuses me of acting like a 2 yr old

Not to mention that they brought the whole Game Day circus to town twice this year to feature the Noles.
 
This last time, there were students suggesting that they boycott attending the Game Day taping because ESPN was conducting a "Witch Hunt" relating to Jamies. 
 
Seriously?  That network is broadcasting from your campus and giving you the kind of exposure and publicity that money can't buy, and you're going to boycott them because they dare to truthfully report or ask questions about things your QB has done?
