  1. And wave at us. We're just on the south side of the mountain....but we've never stayed there.
  2. I could've guessed the post above. First I have to repair our regular (upright) mickey lamps. All three have some measure of cracks, mostly around the bases. also have to paint our last acquired milk can, which is to be a Minnie base. Oh, and repair an inflatable where a Mickey light blew over and burned a hole in his ear.
  3. No more Southern Smothered? It must be their way of forcing me to try some other menu item. We'll see.
  4. We've never stayed in the 100 loop, but we frequently cut through on the paved path. A few years ago we drove the GC through there, but the posts they installed stopped that. I never noticed much noise around there, and a lot of people went through there looking at Feisty's decorations. Not so much any more.
  5. Can anyone suggest new places for us to go with our three wheelchairs? We've been to Disney MANY times and several trips to the Dollywood area. Looking for some suggestions that might be enjoyable for our kids and adults and might be in the area of a week trip from the Atlanta area. We've also been to Branson and the Grand Ole Opry a couple of times, but without a toad, it is difficult to move around a lot. Am I expecting too much with too many restrictions? Years ago Opryland Theme Park would have worked...but alas it's gone. For now, it's Dollywood for this Spring break.
  6. We have had two occasions to replace the front AC in various 37 foot motorhomes. Each time I opted for 15K. The front area is larger and needs more cooling capability. The 15K was not that much more costly ands fits just like the 13.5K. Also in the last MH I was able to isolate the wiring for the rear AC so it could be run independently...with the primary shore power cord plugged into 30A, the rear AC was plugged into 20A via a separate extension cord.
  7. Separate question for anyone: Can you take a dog on a cruise? Where do they stay? Where do they get food? Where do you walk them?
  8. I'm sure Walt to spinning in his freezer jar over the lack of service now being offered.
  9. Thanks, Kristie. We are mainly a Christmas/New Years group, but are considering Thanksgiving this year. For either, we take the kids out of school for a few extra days when necessary. Last year we had to provide one of the schools an outline as to how this would be considered an educational experience. I was able to type up a pageful in no time.
  10. We also have never used a DDP. Our family is so dysfunctional, disorganized, or whatever we can never keep a schedule, but go with the flow. We never know which park, or Fort, we will be in on any day or at any hour. About the only thing we schedule is a MBYBBQ and/or HDDR. The rest of the time, we grab a quick meal wherever we are or eat at the MH. We wind up taking too much food with us and bringing a lot of it home, but we have what we like to eat...one of the advantages of stasying at the Fort.
  11. Now associate one of these with a Halloween decoration of a Headless Horseman.
  12. Where is FWG anyway? Haven't seen him around in months.
  13. John, It looks like you may have to buy one for yourself, too.
  14. Check my tag line. You don't get extra credit for double or triple posts.
  15. Back in the 50's there was a TV show about a double agent as a spy for the USofA, "I Led Three Lives", and Herb Carlson comes to mind, but may be wrong. Anyway, he was adept at slipping into foreign agents and government offices and photographing documents. I'm sure he could get copies of the prints the CMs use. He got away with it every week.
  16. We like the outside sites in the 1200 loop. There are some big sites along the road. The main problem there is the bus noise along the street approaching the 4-way stop sign. Not a BIG problem, but not as quiet as some other sites.
  17. I wish the print media would quit referring to the Department of Homeland Security as DHS. I read that and think the Republicans are trying to defund Disney's Hollywood Studios, the original DHS. I have the same problem with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The SEC is a football conference.
  18. Is this the show in HS or a full blown Broadway/movie type of musical?
  19. Hey, Norm. Thanks for bringing back some memories from the 70's. My first MH was an 18.5' Eldorado Class C with colors (and wet bath) just like your truck camper. We went all over the country with that thing, mostly paid for by the USAF, for whom I worked back then. Once went to Maine and worked making some electronic measurements in a blueberry field. We loaded the fridge and freezer with blueberries to take back to Mobile. The next year we planted five blueberry bushes at home and had a good supply for many years. Ken
  20. We would love to ride this, but with the kids being so big, we have not been able to transfer them for several years. I wish there were some way to put in a wheelchair access. Probably not practical with the sharp dropoff.
  21. I saw Frozen last evening for the first time and do not see so much that would be lasting enough to invest in new productions/facilities at WDW. Am I just too old or am I missing something. It was a nice movie, but remake a section of one or more Parks?
  22. We are staying at Sevierville's River Plantation in April for maybe the 5th time. Nice place, shaded sites, new lazy river on the propertty.
