  1. What you have (i.e. Class A, TT, 5th wheel): 37' Class A If you're towing (so TT or 5th wheel) how heavy is it: We also tow a cargo trailer to hold GC, wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, formula, diapers, etc. If you tow, what is your tow vehicle: Gas mileage: About 7 mpg Do you like it, love it or hate it (this applies to both the tow vehicle and what you're towing (or driving if Class A or C): Love it. Just dont get to use it enough. If you'd like to make a change, change to what and why: Newer, more power, better fuel mileage, l;ower fuel prices, etc
  2. I believe some air in the tank is normal to allow for expansion of the heated water. Your problem may have been that there was no air in the tank.
  3. Ice from the machines for 7 pounds a bag for $2.00 is 28.57 cents per pound. Ice from the Trading Posts for 10 pounds for $2.75 is 27.5 cents per pound. From the Trading Posts, not only is it cheaper per pound, you get more ice per bag and you get a harder, colder ice that lasts longer.
  4. Nacole, Your RV plumbing will have smaller pipes than a house, they would be plastic, and often exposed to the weather at least in some locations in the RV. Opening the faucets will drain any water that has any pressure behind them, but cannot overcome gravity to drain water that is below the level of the faucet. If there is water left in the pipes after drainig the tank, air pressure is used to force that remaining water up and out through the open faucet (one open at a time). If you open more than one faucet at a time, the air will go through the pipe of least resistance (where the water
  5. Ok, I've gone through the entire Abbreviations list and can't find what BB stands for. Best I could do was Beauty and the Beast. They close that for bad weather?
  6. Our Savannah pretty much ignores our kids, except to try to stay away from the wheelchair wheels. She does lick their hands on occasion in case they have eaten anything. She also follows Shawnee to the stair lift when I transfer him. She's there to clean the floor of any crumbs he might have had in his lap. She is very protective of the family and gives some mighty threatening growls and snarls to any one who comes in except a few she sees a lot. And if they miss a few visits, they pretty well have to start over with her. She's got a big bark for her 20 pounds and she uses it in parking
  7. I used thwe toilet flange on my first lamp, but i bolted it to a square of 3/4 inch plywood for more stability. It's only fallen once and burned a hole in our large snow globe. For my other lamps i have used old milk cans. Sometimes hard to find and harder to decorate. And Welcome.
  8. I hope to see Cody's natural cloud Mickey when we go in December. What?! It won't be there? Then I'll have to get Savannah trained to do a dog poop variety. And if she does, I'll be sure to post it. :yay: But do i still have to clean it up, or does it stay for someone to discover and put in a book?
  9. We've been in 400, 500, 1400, 900, and 1200 in the past few years. 400, 500, and 1400 are progressively further from the Settlement and closer to the Meadows Area. I would opt for the outer loop of 1400, but some with children say the inner loop is more safe for children playing. 1200 has some bigger sites, but many also back onto a main road with lots of bus traffic. Rest assured that any site your rig will fit in will be a great place to stay.
  10. Nacole, Is your battery charged? If it is just sitting there, it will lose charge gradually. If it is sitting in the cold, it will lose charge quicker. Sooner or later it will be eded and cannot be recharged..or at least not to full charge. I would bring it inside or connect it to the charger connectors of your converter. Other non MH campers may be able to give better advise.
  11. Whether for security or enjoyment, it's kinda nice not to have aircraft buzzing around the Parks. Strictly justified? Who knows?
  12. We definitely do not get "our money's worth" at WDW. Our kids can do very few attractions. We spend a lot of time in lines because we refuse to over schedule our vacation. We stop at several eating places. We get our money's worth in soaking up the atmosphere, people watching and seeing our kids enjoy what they can. Would we like to see a reduced admission price for limited access? Absolutely. Could our son slip in as a 9 and under? Not in many years. Would he back then? Maybe, if the birthday was close. (Flame On!) And I hesitate to vote on the Halloween thing. The large kids wh
  13. We have had a couple of occasions, since we got a dog last April, to desensitize small visitors. Our Savannah is a sweet dog and protective of the family. She does display some aggression toward any one she does not know or has not seen much. One young girl who used to be a foster child of ours was deathly afraid of Savannah. We got her down by keeping Savannah on a leash and letting them get to know each other from a distance. We cautioned her to move somewhat slowly and not make any sudden moves. When she was sure (after several days) the dog was under tight leash control she ventured closer
  14. Ah, that explains my problem. Since I come in from Western Way and turn left onto World Drive, I don't see the Tower. And for some reason from inside HS I never pictured the Tower being that close to World Drive. My apologoes to the layout team.
  15. The tower is in an especially bad location as an HS icon, particularly with the demise of the Backlot Tour. Is that still an active water tower?
  16. Retired and Tired, Whoever you are: I think 1209 would be a good site for your requirements...or any outside site up to around 1216 or so.
  17. We have a Sealand 210 (older model) to which I added a Thetford riser. That makes it as high as the taller models made today without the expense of a whole new toilet. Ours has the foot flush and sprayer, so we're quite modern. The riser was easy to install, maybe taking a hour or so, if I had put the gaskets in right the first time. And i had top cut a notch out of the back edge of the riser to accommodate a buildout in the corner of the bathroom well.
  18. I think I see another air-blown decoration Judy must have....with a locking plug.
