  1. Welcome LA Rivers. You will find a wealth of knowledge and some MANY smart cracks herein. Enjoy. It's more like a family than a forum. Your family may vary.
  2. A Kuerig in the S&B kitchen and a color coordinated Kuerig in the MH. Neither gets used very much, but I will make a cup of hot chocolate a few times in the winter. No Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, etc. Maybe a Bojangles for a steak/sausage/chicken biscuit when we're in TN. Also, we're long time campers, but we started in a MH and moved up in size....us AND the MH.
  3. More likely not a PUP, but a Prevost, or similar. I still figure we can get most of the Four Seasons amenities by just reserving in Loop 3000.
  4. Sites in the 100-300 loops are smaller than sites in the premium areas. You will be closer to neighbors, but there is generally some space/vegetation between the sites top provide some measure of separation. I am surprised you found no premium sites available since there are so many more premium loops than preferred. You might call and ask again, or contact or the mighty TA, Jason, to do some free work for you in this regard. If he doesn't chime in here, his ad in to the right of some of the index pages.
  5. Dang! Now you got me hankerin' for summa that before 3000 opens. Might have to russle up a batch here at home.
  6. We haven't actually rung in more than a few New Years in maybe 50 years, but we'll be around there somewhere.
  7. Truly difficult to wrap my mind around this. We lost a child at the Fort in 2008, but he was a very special needs child who was expected to have a short life span. To lose one suddenly like this ...
  8. Then stand back and watch the trash collector try to get it out of the can? And by the way, thanks for the info on the 5 years on the roll and longer in use.
  9. I may have asked this question before, but if so I have missed the responses. I bought a couple rolls of tape a few years ago to cover the seams of my then Itasca Suncruiser. Looking at the job I decided a 2 inch instead of a 4 inch width would cover nicely. I sliced one roll of the tape lengthwise and used half to fix the passenger side roof seam. I have kept the other 4 inch roll and now may have a use for it...the driver's side seam. Question: How long does unused tape last, or is there a use-by consideration?
  10. Sometimes there is some kind of overhaul planned for a particular loop and they must get everyone out of that loop before starting....water, sewer, cable, electrical, paving. They try to get this done in the lesser busy seasons.
  11. I think they cancel a show from time to time if there are not enough ticket sales and maybe tickets still available for other shows. If so, I agree with the practice. We were there one early show with few in the audience and it was not so much fun as a fuller house.
  12. Then there's the one Jen made that sits atop a 4x4 post. If I recall correctly they also sit atop a rod driven into the ground, so they can be moved fairly readily. Sorry I don't have a link to the directions she posted, but maybe she can share that vital info.
  13. On behalf of Mayor Kaseem Reed and all the politicians who have friends running the ATL concessions, baggage, and ground transportation, I apologize for the delays. Personally I have not flown since 1995 and plan to make that my final flight.
  14. We got our dog to be trained as a seizure dog for our daughter, Kimberly. Turns out she, the dog, is a family pet that pretty much ignores the kids except to move quickly if the wheelchairs are headed toward her. She is a pretty good size for the house and the MH, about 20 pounds. Has a great disposition unless someone she doesn't know approaches. Costs are much higher than I imagined...vet bills, hair cuts, baths, treatments for worms and fleas... She is usually at Judy or my feet. Can't help but love her, but she is a responsibility.
  15. So, is a roundabout any more dangerous than a diverging diamond?
  16. I'm bettin' they deny entrance. And I don't think there is any way setup for picking up banned item after a visit. They have trash receptacles near the security points to dispose of such things.
  17. We got a couple of warnings last year before we figured out how strict they were going to be, and what they would accept. We're bringing fewer decorations this year. We hope there are enough displays around to make it a pleasant experience for everyone.
  18. Coming in via the 429 route, we always come through the main entrance and make the right turn across the bus lane....37 foot MH, 12 foot trailer, sometimes a van.
  19. They could have saved a lot of work and heartache/headache if they had just asked the Fiends first.
  20. There is/was a train setup in World Showcase. We didn't get back there the past two Christmases, so I don't know if it's still there.
  21. Next they will rip out the foliage along the WL Trail...and still not let you drive a GC over there. Idiots.
  22. Thanks, Pix. We're not much into hiking with three wheelchairs.
