  1. Let 'em lock up all the phones and such. My grandkids can't sit or stand up straight without something like that in their hands. Dang! Now I'm starting to sound like Lou. :rofl3:
  2. Wait! Those girls are in wigs and costumes? Not real princesses? My DW keeps buying copies of Frozen and sending them to the grandkids. I haven't even seen it yet. Maybe she thinks it's too advanced for me?
  3. Yes Dave. Starbuc and Judy are right according to our attorney. Of course taking away the voting right of one person does not eliminate the thousands of people who still have the right, but do not act as cognitive as our kids. :rofl2:
  4. And I still hold it against the DAWG...was it VI or VII that tried to bite one our good ole AU players a few years back. Three Hammett brothers were on the losing side of the BCS game, and our youngest brother was on the winning side.
  5. That was the one photo we have downloaded so far that Judy took when we were getting the kids off the bus that first (dog) day. I was told the original reason for getting a dog was to be trained as a seizure dog for Kimberly. I am now told "we" HOPE to get her trained as a seizure dog. Have I been taken in? And No, I did NOT want a dog, but now that she's here, she's kinda nice to have around. She minds pretty well already and is very friendly. Usually curls up around DW or under her bed....specifically IN Savannah's bed which is UNDER DW's bed. Kimberly and Shawnee pretty much ignore
  6. What dock is Tn Bob talking about? And do you think the catch and release fish ever wise up and say...Hey, I'm not falling for the chicken and hotdog again.?
  7. We have stayed in 1200 a few times. Nice, mostly larger sites, but further from the action and closer to bus noise near the 4-way stop. (Better for more Christmas decorations along the road.) I checked Shanta's Google Earth program of the Fort and do not see a bridge from 1300 except the one at the Trading Post toward the pool area.
  8. Thanks, Lou, for the separately transmitted instructions. Turns out I had the process except for the last step. When it said COPIED, I didn't realize where it was copied TO, and all I had to do was paste it in. Mo, yours are similar instructions after the photo is uploaded. See PETS for our latest addition.
  9. Ok, lets see if this works. If it does, it looks like we will be booking a pet loop in the future. Savannah is in theory Kimberly's dog, but she's becoming a mama's girl. We hope to get Savannah trained as a seizure dog for Kimberly. 18 pounds and about a foot tall. Two years old, they think...a rescue dog.
  10. Would someone tell me once more where the instructions for uploading from Photobucket are? I've done it, but not in a LONG time.
  11. We got a Hoyer Lift from FODAC here in Stone Mountain, but it didn't work for us. The lift only took the kids above the outside steps. We had to move them manually from there, so we left the lift at home and move them by hand for the month we were there. Shawnee could help by assisted crawling up the steps, but Kimberly was dead weight all the way. It helped immensely when our company got there and did a lot of the lifting. We now have the ChairLift mounted...in time for Spring Break....which we didn't get to take because DFCS would not let the baby travel out of state.
  12. Hey, my DGD mowed our yard for the first time this year today...but she didn't walk on it!
  13. I once pulled the power cord out of the ATS. No major damage, but we had no AC or A/C on the way home.
  14. 1400, Outer Loop. Close to the main pool and Meadows facilities...campfire, Trading Post, tennis court, etc. If you look at a map. you will see 1400 has an Iner and an Outer loop. Some of the Inner sites are pretty small. Sites around 1436 are Outer and close to the facilities listed above as well as the CS.
  15. Welcome and WAR EAGLE, woody1. We won't be there until early December.
  16. Or just stomp all over his front yard. You know how old codgers get about their lawns.
  17. What size tires does your vehicle call for? ...including load rating and/or ply rating? And what kind of rig is it? TT, Class C, Class A, other?
  18. Either keep calling and hope for a cancellation or contact one of the TA's here on the FF forum for help. Good luck, but Christmas will be Christmas.
  19. Our FWRR spike is 4.5 inches from below the head to the tip. The other one is 6 inches, and slightly heavier pike dimensions. Edit: Googled "Railroad Spike Dimensions". Found my 6 in spike is likely the largest RR spike in use. The writeup also says the square shape of the spike gives it a MUCH greater holding power than a similar round spike with the same amount of metal in it. It stated 50% more, although tests have varied from 800+ to over 4000 pounds of removal force.
  20. Nice simple answer. :rofl2: I would (wood) also love to have a piece of the wood to mount with our spike, but we won't be at the Fort until early December. I also have a suggestion for your longer 4x4 post. How about a solar lamp post such as Jen has displayed somewhere on FF?
  21. Welcome. We got "spiked" last year. It was an occasion to be cherished. I later found a slightly larger spike in my basement. Don't know where it came from, or how it got in my basement. TCD, Are there different sized spikes from the FWRR?
  22. Welcome Sara and family. Best of luck to your son and thanks for his willingness to serve. Enjoy your CR stay.
  23. We have not yet been inconvenienced by the GAC/DAS changeover. We got them for our two kids last Christmas since they now require pictures. We used to get just one and use it for our party. I think in the month we were there, we used them a couple of times, although the only one I distinctly remember was for access to the Safari. We got there about a quarter to four and they gave us an access time of 4 p.m. The women went shopping in a nearby establishment while we men killed time near the entrance. Just before 4, we approached the CM and he opened the rope for us into the fastpass line.
  24. Marty, You say no toilet, but will you have other water sources in there?...sink, shower? If so, you would need some way to dispose of that waste water without a sewer connection. I'm not sure why you don't want a toilet, especially with you family size. We would be lost without ours. But if that's your choice, so be it. I guess there might be a better use for the space, depending on the size of the unit you rebuild. At any rate, enjoy the project and certainly enjoy using it when it is ready. I always wanted to do a refurbish job (back when I was younger and energetic). Last year I f
