  1. Hey No Regrets, We have a chair lift mounted on the side of our MH. When traveling, only the pole and motor remain. The chair and swing hinge remove for storage elsewhere. Now this is a chir that lifts, not a lift for a chair, although I have seen those also. Still want to meet you some time.;
  2. Another wheelchair-on-the-bus question.... Anyone heard they have implemented a new policy requiring you to remove a backpack hanging from a wheelchair before they will load you?
  3. Dave and Christy, Thanks for saving Anna. We have a DGD saved from China. Every so often I have to stop and wonder...Where would they be if left in their birth circumstances.
  4. THAT'S telling them Dave!! Of course without your money, they may have to lay off a few more performers. Can you sing and dance? More audience participation. :rofl2:
  5. 2-0 is better than 0-2, even if it did all happen in about 5 minutes together in two games. Clemson in their house? Maybe we should close it out earlier if we are to close it at all.
  6. We have large car seats for our special needs kids. We have strapped them on the flipped rear seat for years with no problem. Sounds like Lou's stadium seats just might work.
  7. We had a multitude of comeback wins last year on our way to Glendale. Not sure I expect that again this year. We'll take whatever we can get this year.
  8. Not sure why, but it didn't translate as a link. Anyway its a concrete impregnated fabric tent that you set up and spray with water to activate the concrete. They say it lasts 10 years and is fireproof, leakproof, etc. You have to have it delivered by forklift and opened with a truck pulling it out of the sealed package.
  9. Wonder what the popo would think if everybody set these up? Tents that turn into concrete in less than 24 hours.
  10. I don't know the extent of your damage, but is it possible to get an estimate from an RV repair center that maybe insurance would accept? When I had a similar "injury" last year, I got the estimate from a facility first, then the insurance adjuster copied that almost dollar for dollar. I don't know what the outcome would have been if insurance had gotten there first.
  11. So happy to hear you all ok after so horrendous wreck. There is a reason for safety features in vehicles. The animals and their owners now know about each one.
  12. ran out of letters. My daughter is also looking for a pop up really cheap. lol.

Keep us in mind for that info. too. Thanks so much, love Judy, Ken, Shawnee and Kimberly.

  14. Hi Jen: We are looking for a newer motor home (Class A) with at least 3 slides. We desperately need this so Shawnee can wheel his chair around and not have to crawl inside the RV. We could put Kimberly in her wheel chair too and move her around. We do not have much to spend on this as you can imagine. So if anyone mentions they have one for sale, please feel free to give them our e-mail add.

  15. No picture yet, but I had a blank hitch receiver cover on the workbench for years. I cut a piece of sheet metal to fit an oval snarky decal. I gorilla-glued the plate to the cover and affixed the snarky to the plate. To keep anyone from cutting a leg on the sheet metal, I surrounded the plate and snarky with a length of black plastic split wirewrap. The whole thing is attached to the rear of Judy's van, and looks pretty good if I say so myself. Maybe I can get a picture soon.
  16. I used a toilet flange at the base of my lamp, but not AS the base. I wouldn't count on the flange to hold in a wind...or good bump. I cut a 3/4 inch piece of plywood (maybe 18x18 inches)and put on several coats of outdoor paint, then bolted the flange to the wood base. I also drilled holed near the outside corners of the wood base to allow for staking it down with 8" spikes, but have not had to use them yet....at least not counting when the thing got knocked over by a large inflatable last Christmas....but I have a replacement ear to put on.
  17. I saw part of the show this evening. Disney went all out. A handcranked train, a large blue hat, a castle, train depot...don't know what else, but the layout was fantastic.
  18. We have an ugly brown one about 8x10, and a blue one about 9x20. Haven't seem the brown on in a while, but we use the blue one in the screen room at the Fort. Both are woven and probably came from CW years ago. We also put a small mat at the door for those sandy and leaf laden shoes.
  19. A good cooler, whether it be a good fridge with freezer or a quality cooler (don't know the really good names, but something highly insulated)
  20. And apparently OP does not know that all electric GC's need a charger. Just that some are built in (hidden) and heavy like Disney's, and some are separate and heavy like Kenny's and mine.
  21. We cut out all food in March and May to pay for a July trip, and will proabaly do the same in September and November for a Christmas trip if we're still strong enough to travel. Seriously, this morning we are heading to Kroger where the gas price has dropped from $3.99 to $3.79 in a week or two. And we have 401 Rewards Points which are supposed to give us a $0.40 savings per gallon for one 35 gallon fillup.  We'll see if that works. I'll probably need more than 35 gallons, but it's a start. Then maybe we will see some more drop in a few weeks. Anyone got a prayer sm
  22. We have been to WDW and the Fort many times in the past ten or so years. We have never gone to DTD. What do you recommend to see there with three young teens in wheelchairs? I know there's a LegoLand and the Earl of Sandwich. What else? Isn't there a DTD bus from the Outpost?
  23. CC, Glad to see you here. I've seen your post on the other board.

    Ken

  24. Although he waffles on whether he likes Auburn, Lou Holtz is a good speaker. I have never heard him outdoors, so I can't speak to that.
