ok, for some reason I missed this thread, I know I know .................anyway all I can say is COOL, you is da man and I am proud to call you "a guy I know".

Looks like the decision has been made. Drew will be attending the University of Alabama this fall.

Since Baseball season has started for the Majors and the kids its about time we had a place to brag in Our Kids, Our Grandkids and anyone else we might just be proud of.
 
 
I will start, Ty , my grandson whom many of you know had hid first game of the season tonight 4/2/13, he started pitching and batted 3rd.
 
He pitched 2 shutout innings, walked 2 and struck out 4 I think, maybe 5. He hit 40 pitches and that was all the coach wanted him to pitch on opening night.
 
He walked twice (nothing to even swing at) and drove one to second and the kid couldn't make the play.
 
in the end, the score was 12-1
 
 
 
Now brag on, I would love to hear how the other fiend kids are doing, you got to love Little League or what ever sanction they play.

So glad you had a great GG, wish we could have been there. We had a mini one at Lazy Days, with Angie (Mrs. Gus and her family and Dan and Jen Yerkes, not sure of his screen name on here. We have been having a very good time. Tim and Shiela came over Sat. to see us and Missy came over on her way home to vist. Was great seeing everyone. Rich really needed this, it is keeping his mind off of what is to come.
If I don't get a chance to say it, I am saying it now Have a very Happy and Healthy New Year. We love all the Fiends you have been there for us in good and bad times and I don't know how we would survive without knowing you all. <3

Going to St Augustine over Thanksgiving then plan on the annual New Years trip to Gatlinburg for the street party

a little bird tells me that is all goes well and nothing comes up to ruin it, Kathy might just be serving coffee at the fort during the GG, that IF nothing comes up.

one day last yr another fiend and I and I think Jens CJ took a ride to look at some sites compared to the measurements given by the CM book.
 
A few of the sites on bendsin the road were prob measured from the back to the farthest point of the curve, well if you go by that measurement there was about 10 feet of unusable length to the site, some might even be more. I believe they measured them to the longest point to make everyone feel happy that they have this gigantic site when in reality the usable space is a lot less.

I hope they cleared it first with Bob and Lou before publishing pics from their days at US Steel. 
 

ok, I am going to chime in, I know you really really want a camper, who wouldn't. The problem I see here is that you are "trying to make" your van capable of towing what you can tow and not what you really want to tow.
 
My personal feeling is that you are going to put a lot of money that has no redeeming value when you trade your van in. For what cash you are putting into this vehicle you still aren't sure it will do the job that you want it too. From what I gather that doesn't include the weight dis hitch either, just the reciever.
 
For a quarter the amount of $ you are spending on upgrading your van you could buy the nicest tent set up available and wait until its car buying time and get what you need then get what you really WANT to camp in.
