  1. Let everyone ride busses, purchase gifts, eat food, but keep visitors out of the pools and othe amenities meant for paying guests. Thats where the controls need to be.
  2. Was the sign in Spanish, Korean, and Russian?
  3. Black Widow Wonder Woman Storm Jean Grey Rogue Invisible Girl Astrid from How to Train Your Dragon...not super but a Heroine Yes there have been a lot of female copies of males Supergirl Spiderwoman Batgirl TV has been kinder to female heroines Xena New Starbuck Captain Rader Rizzoli and Isles Chloe O'Brian Annie Walker But hopefully authors/cartoonists/producers will embrace the female side more often in comics and Disney instead of just Princesses
  4. The new Captain America is going to be a black character. Marvel Comics’ latest incarnation of their legendary Captain America character is a black man, the comic book industry giant announced late Wednesday. The Falcon character in the “Captain America” series – one of the first black characters in the Marvel universe – has been appointed as the successor to the Captain’s shield. He’ll take over the role in the “All-New Captain America,” the team behind the series told Marvel.com. Achie is dead. He died a hero protecting a gay friend from am assassins bullet. Nick Fury is now a black man.
  5. I made all meals ahead then froze them. Chicken and yellow rice with peas Big pizza roll like a calazone. Was good but messy to make. Got the dough from Publix. Sausage and vegetables. I used yellow squash, zucchini and frozen cubed potatoes with peppers. Premade pizza crust, your favorite toppings then cooked on the grill. Chicken or beef kabobs. I did chicken pineapple peppers and onions marinated in a Hawaiin sauce. Chili Mac Most of these can be modified to fit your families likes.
  6. Interesting syndicated article in today's Orlando Sentinel. National Park Service runs a campground at Floyd Bennett Field. http://www.chicagotribune.com/travel/sc-trav-0715-camping-in-brooklyn-20140715,0,1663693.column?page=1 Floyd Bennett Field has 32 tent campsiites and 6 RV campsites available for a unique urban, yet rustic camping experience. 7. Lots of good recipes out there for them, but a crock pot is simpler if you have electricity.
  8. Go to Wilderness Lodge. They break out a bunch of giant sized games to play in the lobby. Or head over to AL and let the kids play in the craft/day room while the adults site on the balcony and watch the animals
  9. Not a lot of mention about this problem at Universal in the media. It happened only 2 days after the WDW Monorail Tragedy! Everyone hates the big guy..... ORLANDO, Fla. - Transformers: The Ride-3D at Universal Studios is operating Tuesday afternoon after fire officials rescued guests from the ride earlier in the day. Orlando fire officials confirmed to Local 6 they were performing a "technical rescue" at Universal and safely assisted 12 passengers out of the vehicle on the Transformers ride. No injuries were reported. Casey Ruston, 20, who was visiting the theme park from New Jersey
  10. That would be almost as good a job as the stroller wrangler/hider job at the parks.
  11. Is that blow up the beach for you, or with you on it? Some of those fireworks were close. My one granddaughter finally conquered her fear of fireworks this trip watching the MK show at the Fort. Saturday night she flew off the beach and up to the bus stop. It was just too much too soon for her, but my wife convinced her that those were a little scarey and they weren't normal.
  12. But the busses aren't as cool...... Has there ever been a comparison of monorail vs bus vs ferry ridership? I guess to make it fair it would just have to be to the MK from the parking lot.
  13. Considering the millions of people and hundreds of thousand of miles these monorails have traveled over the years, it seems like their safety records and the small amount of times they break down are pretty phenomenal.... at least what the unwashed masses hear about.
  14. Other options, maybe longer, would be to take the taxi to the Contemporary and grab a boat, or to the Wilderness Lodge and grab a bus. They deal with taxi/limos all the time.
  15. I love camping at disneys fort wilderness fb page has photos, reported 120 people evacuated, none injured. channel 6 tv fb page reporting it also
  16. Comfort stations are locked midnight til 6 am. They still issue the credit card keys to open the gate and the bathroom.
  17. We were lucky at the fort, all I needed was chocks, but then again the pup was parked on the slab sideways, and we had a tent and screen room in the sand.
  18. Check Amazon. I ordered 4 of the plastic chocks, and also ordered one of the tri-level lego type ones that you can back up onto. When I got the lego one there were two in the bag. If you are a Prime member usually the shipping is free or cheap. I joined as a trial member for a month and got these shipped free. And Craigslist is a good spot too. BAL makes a leveller, but I think it's only for pop ups. They also make a tandem wheel chock/lock that goes between the tires.
  19. Thanks. That probably accounts for a lot of the review discrepencies..... people not reading directions. A lot of the ez up types in the product descriptions say they are not a permanent structure and to not leave them unattended, then the reviewers say well the top rotted after sitting out on my deck for a year so it's a piece of junk and I give it 1 star. One person gave a screen room a low rating because the shipping box was damaged, but raved on how good the room itself was.
  20. Most of the ez up type have legs that can be adjusted, so in theory, if you were leaving the canopy up and not going to be around, you would drop the front or the back lower so the water would have a better chance to run off. But it the top starts to stretch and water pools.... anything can happen. Some of the dome types seem to alleviate that problem. We got some rain while we were at the Fort, and it was amazing how quickly the water would pool up on the tarp above the tent. Even a quick shower could create a good sized puddle.
  21. So I guess to be safe, I need to pack a bunch of lumber, sreeening, roofing and tools, and make a screen room on site! :-)
  22. Make your own pizza on the grill! We use a Cuisinart perforated pizza pan (I tried to post a web pic but it didn't take. The handle pops off so you can close the grill lid (if you have one). I use a ready made crust from Aldis, add the toppings put the pan on the charcoal grill, then cover the grate and pan with foil to make it like an oven. It's done in about 15 -20 minutes. Of course if the 1500 loop had the covered grills like I saw down in the 700 loop it would be easier. This way you don't have to tip the driver or even leave your site!
  23. Thats what I was seeing, but those types with the screens included are hard to find or pricey. Then trying to find out if they screens as an option is even harder. I see a lot of people posting in reviews that the ez up types are prone to collapsing or the braces breaking, especially if they get wet/accumulate rain.... gee something that never happens at the Fort.
  24. If you want good BBQ go to 4 Rivers smokehouse. None are close to the Fort, but you can get it to go. https://4rsmokehouse.com/ We went to a book fair and met the owner who was selling his cookbook. He was a down to earth guy with strong Christian morals. He started the business by cooking for a fundraiser for a young girl, and things just ballooned from there. They are closed on Sundays so the employees can spend time with their families ala Chik Fil A
