On the same topic of sue happy, shyster lawyers, and stoopid laws, did anyone read about CA vs Lowes and the 2x4 debacle? Lowes was cited and fined because... wait for it... their 2x4 lumber didn't really measure 2x4! A Marin County California judge ordered Mooresville, North Carolina-based Lowe’s to pay a $1.6 million settlement over a lawsuit alleging the inaccurate description of structural dimensional building products. One upshot of the settlement is the intention of Lowe’s to include the actual product dimensions of 2x4 lumber (1.5 inches by 3.5 inches) along with the description of

So any story ever written about 2 sisters that aren't twins and have different color hair is copying this womens idea? Doesn't matter that Disney has openely stated Frozen is based on the old Snow Queen story. I think the Frozen tv special had said Disney had been working on this story on and off for quite a few years. I hope this woman has a good lawyer, Disney will probably go after her for copying them!

iOS 8 APPLE UPGRADE
Travisma replied to Travisma's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
I had found the 7.1.2 os online but it didn't work trying to revert it on a PC. I was able to do it on a MacBook. I've reinstalled some apps the one thing I'm missing is my safari favorites. -

iOS 8 APPLE UPGRADE

I had the available space and memory, but it just plain killed my iPad. -
Be careful if you decide to do an upgrade to your Apple products. I did an upgrade to my iPad 3 and now it is slow and freezes up constantly. Some of my apps crash and shut down within 15 seconds of opening. I've been searching the last 2 days for a way to revert back to my old software and so far have come up blank. Apple said it was compatible with devices back as far as the 4s iPhone, but blogs on line are saying otherwise.

Fort Wilderness FAQ
Travisma replied to AuburnJen's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Either they are following the rule "Rules are made to be broken", or they are living in the Land Of Me where they can do whatever they feel like because it's their world, or the sign wasn't in the correct languge. -
Amen. I've seen that happen numerous times. The worst spot is the path behind the tennis courts leading to the campfire parking lot. You take your life in your hands biking and walking down there. Our last trip to the Fort, I saw this 2 or 3 rows of seats City? electric cart (kind of oval shaped) towing a trailer with 2 rows of seats attempting to drive down that path. It was longer than an extended cab pick up Years ago we had to worry about our kids getting hurt riding bikes, now it's our granddaughters, and there does seem to be a lot more carts now a days.

Truck suggestions

He was waiting for his mini van with 6 kids in it to catch up so he could hitch that to the rear of the TT. -
Boat to Magic Kingdom
Travisma replied to tracyd's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
True, but how many people at the Fort have early appointments at the MK? That would be the only time I would think of trying, or if you are running extremely late for a reservation. I'm a big advocate of parking my vehicle the day I arrive and it stays in the same spot until I leave. You know us, we are no longer park people so we don't have to do that any longer. Maybe when we hit the Lottery we will get passes again. -
Truck suggestions

Gator Ford in Tampa off of I-4 exit 10 is a truck specialist. Their lot is almost all trucks with some car trade ins. I'm not a Ford person, but thought you might like to know about them. I would say go Dodge, but with my dash disintegrating I'm no longer a big fan of theirs. -
Two questions re: parks
Travisma replied to Momof6....aka Marty's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
Yes, how much is a beer at Epcot now? We were just at SeaWorld Saturday. If you really get thirsty, a 12 pack of Bud Light will only be $84, and a "Craft" beer like Sam Adams or Blue Moon can be had for the low low price of $96. I'm sure their prices must be in line with Disney. -

Probably with uncomfortable seats. If you're resting or watching kids playing you're not spending money! -
Two questions re: parks
Travisma replied to Momof6....aka Marty's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
Thanks. I remember the big playgrounds off the walkway between World Showcase and Imaginations, then they had the smaller one back by the train area. I knew the big ones were just for the flower show but wasnt sure about the smaller one. Glad the drummers are still around. -
Two questions re: parks
Travisma replied to Momof6....aka Marty's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
Does Epcot still have the outdoor model train layout? If so you have to spend time there, and does Japan still have the drummers? That is a great show. Last time we were there was during a flower/garden show and there was a playground near the trains. Again another expert can tell you if it's still there. -
What to do with Magic Bands after trip?
Travisma replied to Old Snipe's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
You can make Magic Band chains for your Christmas tree instead of using construction paper! -
Boat to Magic Kingdom
Travisma replied to tracyd's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
It's an easy walk since it's flat and is a direct shot once you get to the edge of the Contemporary parking lot. If the guards let you park over to the left side as you go in, the path is pretty close and the walk from the parking lot is a lot less than from the boat dock. I never had issues parking in there, we would say we were going to lunch at the hotel, then walk over. I did that when we were going to the MK and Hollywood to by some Christmas gifts and we werent really staying at the MK longer than shopping. I couldn't see the guard turning you away if you have early reservations f -
Being able to get netflix or Disney movies on wi if is a good thing for rainy days or when just chilling at the campsite trying to get the grandkids to relax.... Since they wore us out and we're ready to pass out. So there are some good reasons to still get on line while on vacation, like right now I sitting in our Hilton Garden Inn room relaxing after a busy day at Sea World.

Boat to Magic Kingdom
Travisma replied to tracyd's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Another option but it may be tricky is to drive to the Contemporary then walk over to the MK. I've always been able to park there with and without a resort parking pass. But it's usually later in the day.
