  1. C'mon Lou, sure they gave them out for free.... then collected them after the show was over, just like the wonderful Captain EO glasses. Anything for a great photo op. And those are probably the ones they are selling in the CM store.... slightly used.
  2. As compared to an IE browser that loads everything ever made for it!
  3. and when it passes you going downhill you know you've got a problem...
  4. Thanks Mo. I thought most people use that site, but yours is the only one I've seen pictures come thru.
  5. At the very bottom of the page there's a link that says new for 2014 tent camping sites.
  6. Probably caught it from eating one of those bats from the bat house!
  7. Well the picture they show of the tent site is pretty basic. Doesn't look like any amenities on each site. They probably have it hidden away behind a building.
  8. One plus if you want to call it that, is that a lot of these towers are now owned by company that leases antennas out to the various cell companies. There might be 3 or 4 different carries on it. When cell phones first came on the scene each company was installing their own tower. Then municipalities started cracking down on tower placements, so these companies came into play. Some carriers still put up their own trying to win the coverage war over competitors. And then you have the carriers puting in the hidden small footprint ones like AT&T did at Disney. You can be sure they
  9. They don't want you lowering the property values with your little shanty next to the $250K mansions on wheels!
  10. Remember the golden rule.... Rules are made to be broken! PS and if I didn't see so many people really breaking the rules, I wouldn't! 2 cars on the site is the new norm. I remember when it was strictly enforced that there was only 1 vehicle allowed per site. But that was when they had the gate where the busses go in and out. If you wanted to get another car in to drop off people or cargo you would have to meet them in the parking lot with your card to open the gate.
  11. Happened to us on the 4th of July We had 2 cars on our site. My daughter and son drove out to visit us on the 4th and to go to HDDR. The outpost parking had passed capacity, so she came to the site. I moved my truck so she could fit in front of our vehicles w/o blocking the road. 2 of my wheels were in the dirt next to the driveway So next thing I know we get a notice. I got annoyed and asked the ranger to get a hold of a manager. He came right out apoligized, and instructed my daughter to park in the open area between the sites. Oh, and I get a notice, but there was a person wh
  12. Enchanted all of these are good suggestions. Check out popupportal.com for all things pop up. We bought a 1988 Coleman, it's a very small one. I'm towing it with a 6 cyl Ram. It didn't make a lot of difference in my mileage, but we only live in Tampa so it's only about a 70 mile drive. Our first trip was to the Fort, but we opened it up 4 or 5 times in the driveway and checked everything out. Now let me add, we are not using the interior stove or sink, no no problems with a water or gas hookup. If it comes with a manual study it. If not, pop up has a lot of manuals listed and can be print
  13. That article refers to small hidden repeater type antennas throughout the parks. Sprint set those up at some of our larger offices where cell coverage was poor. Those towers may be part of AT&T's commitment to better coverage, but they look like regular old towers, and like TCD said, why bother hiding them, it's only the Fort campers that see them and we aren't important.
  14. Can't stay in Wal Mart lots in FL for some reason.
  15. Close but no cigar. It specifically said campsites.
  16. They look like cell towers. Maybe they will paint them sky blue to camouflage them!
  17. Oh yeah, we raced the other war canoe out and back. Then had the Q and A out on the lakeside. It was a magical trip for sure. It's too bad things have changed so much.
  18. That happened years ago up north when copper stealing was just getting popular. It was either Con Ed or LI Power where the jerk went and cut into a live high voltage line. He turned crispy, the family sued and won. Not sure on what grounds or why, but the utility company payed out a hefty sum.
  19. give it to your daughter to carry in, they don't check them as good if a kid plops it down
  20. Maybe they will cover them in plastic branches and make them look like Sequoias. PS, I can't see the pictures, my work PC blocks links to imaging sites so I'm just imagining what they look like!
  21. I didn't see the picture of your new cooler until I got home. For some reason my system at work blocks blog pictures. The cooler is quite impressive. It's even better than getting one with a frisbee! I got my sister in law one of those wine glasses as a gag gift from Dollar Tree last Christmas.
