I didn't realize they added to the 600. I thought the last expansion was when they added the cabin loops way back in the dark ages.

Boo on Lou! EWP is still almost entirely original from back in the 70's. It's nostalgia at its best.

With the amount of issues trying to get reservations, has the Fort ever looked into expanding the amount of sites? It seems like there is a lot of land out around the group camping area where they could add a few extra loops. More sites might cut down on the amount of people getting turned away. Seems like the Fort never has problems staying full.

How bad is it raining over there? It's been raining steady over here in Tampa for past 3 or 4 hours.

Not too sure how the economy is rebounding for the general population. We went to our local Goodwill this afternoon, and the parking lot was full. I had to circle thru 3 times before a space finally opened. We've never seen it that crowded. Guess people are trying to make their dollars stretch a little further. We always stop by looking for camping bargains and decorations.

We love the EWP. We make sure to see it at least once every trip.

When we were there with the cold snap over Halloween we could hear it over at the Contemporary in the 1500 loop. The cool dry air transmits the sound a lot further and louder than the typical humid Florida air.

Last weekend the bands worked at the gate, and when I drove to Port Orleans they scanned it and welcomed me by name at the gate.

We bought one and took it with is on our week stay. The 4 day trip our chests kept everything cold enough with one bag of ice supplement for the drink cooler, (beer can never be too cold) but that came with our visitors from the outside.

Take a quick trip to 1500 and see what the sticker says. Like I said, maybe someone put a phoney sticker on the machine.

Is that a lollipop, or the Mickey Ears ice cream? I know that would bump you up to your next trips limit!

I posted it on that other sites FB page a couple of days ago. The machine at the 1500 loop Comfort Station had a bright yellow sticker near the coin slot and it said $3.25. The machine was broken the entire time we were there. Someone else posted that it was $2.75? at the Meadow TP. Last year around this time it was $2.00 at the machines. Maybe someone stuck a phoney sticker on it?

2. In addition to the $1000 charging limit (then once charged to your card it resets), apparently there is a total trip limit to protect your account So Carol, what you're saying is that after you buy 2 hotdogs, a beer and a cinnamon roll, your card will no longer work because you reached its limit?

Small world (or Fort). The RV puppy family won last year also. I heard them saying the dog was pulling a wagon that looked like the Hay Ride.

I was there over Halloween. It wasnt something handed out at checkin. Maybe just the sites that had planes landing at Orlando Airport getting blinded got the notice. But if you think about it, most Halloween lights are not super bright, or it would ruin the spooky effect. The notice I saw that someone posted said a 10 pm lights out, but the site decorating judging was until midnight on the 30th, so go figure. I left mine on all day and night, but I just had 1 string of blinking eyes in the tree. Others on the 1500 left theirs on all day and night, but maybe us partial site people d

I think Tangled was much better also. Also the Lego movie was more fun, but I guess Wyldstyle doesn't count as a Princess

Welcome. Past weekend, I saw a Mickey lamp, and they had the post in a toilet flange and then used those aluminum round (look like giant nails) tent pegs to stake it down.

80% of those were at the Fort for Halloween. My daughter had heard about the Elsa drinking game... 1 shot for every sighting. If we played we would've gone thru a couple of gallons of bourbon!

Embassy Suites on Lake Street off of Palm Parkway. If you do Priceline you can probably get a good deal. Dive in movies, happy hour and free breakfast. Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress is very nice, can be pricey but you may be able to get a Priceline deal.
