  1. Bend Over And Grab Your Ankles. This place won't be cheap. And Disney always wins, in the Year of a Million Schemes. BTW, I think the word "Cypress" should be in the name....like Disney's Cypress Point Resort, or Disney's Cypress Springs Resort. You know, to pay homage to the dozens of cypress trees they will need to bulldoze in order to build it.
  2. Anyone have any info on the melted golf cart sitting by the 700 loop last night?
  3. INC's first comment was "how much you wanna bet the Bimmer cut him off".
  4. LOL! Sorry Beckers....certainly did not involve me, other than happening maybe 10 miles from my house.
  5. My sources tell me the new resort will be named Disney's BOAGYA Springs Resort.
  6. In case anyone is interested, here are some pics of an accident this afternoon on I-65 here south of Nashville. Only minor injuries thankfully, but sure looks scary. That trailer pretty much disintegrated. No idea on cause, but it was a rainy day, and this is an extremely busy stretch of interstate. https://twitter.com/FranklinTNPD/status/1051509637797871622
  7. My sources tell me they built Spaceship Earth in a way that allows them to roll it out of the park to the far side of the parking lot. They can do the refurb there, then roll it back into place.
  8. I'll take Ridiculously Safe Assumptions for $500, Alex.
  9. Back in the 60's when Walt was secretly buying up the land for WDW, if someone from the future had told him that someday they'd be serving booze for breakfast in the Magic Kingdom, he'd have replanted the orange trees, put the land back up for sale, and headed back to California.
  10. Funny, but I was picturing Olaf and Sven.
  11. $5.75 for a Mickey Bar? But they are "free" on Disney cruises. I just checked the Disney Cruise website, and see several cruises prices out at around $250 per person per night. At an imputed price of $5.75 per Mickey Bar, that would equal 43 Mickey Bars per day of a cruise to break even. And then you can consider the cruise itself to be a bonus! Who says Disney Cruises aren't reasonable?
  12. Hard to believe you only get an hour and 15 minutes to ride stuff. Also, who in their right mind would eat breakfast before 9am? If you do, you are taking up a good chunk of the limited attraction time. Why not start it earlier, and provide access to attractions from 7:00-9:00, and do breakfast from 8-10? As it is, I'd have a really hard time justifying $79 for 75 minutes of rides and a basic breakfast.
  13. How wonderful! I imagine Bill will always be happy about these times you are spending with Annie. The last thing we want after our loved ones are gone is regret that we didn't spend more time with them. That lesson alone is worth more than any pictures you could have posted in this report. Thanks for sharing.
  14. I want to take Anna to WDW for her high school graduation in May 2030. Do I have to pick those specific park dates now, or can I wait a couple more years?
  15. IIRC, federal campgrounds like COE parks used to be bookable on reserveamerica, and then sometime several years back they transitioned to recreation.gov for those parks. But the website itself looks just like reserveamerica, and I think I read at one time that the government contracted with reserveamerica to do the recreation.gov site. So, perhaps at this point they are letting that contract run out, and the government is building its own website? I hope not, as the existing site is pretty user friendly, and I'm guessing a new government-built site won't be. But will have to wait and see.
  16. Hopefully the gorilla is not claustrophobic.
  17. Because mistakes at human hospitals don't carry with them the massive negative publicity that a mistake at AK does. Kill a few people, and the media shrugs its shoulders. Disney killing a giraffe is major news.
  18. I have always made COE reservations at recreation.gov. Have you previously been able to make them using both portals? And if they are migrating to a new system, or least for some users, resulting in some downtime, why not do that in January when most of the COE parks are closed?
  19. To me the entertainment is a draw to entice people to dine there as opposed to one of the many other restaurants in the area. Like the dancing at Ragland Rd, or characters at other Disney restaurants. It should be built into the menu prices, which I'm gonna guess are pretty high to begin with. That's annoying.
  20. I wonder if that menu had anything to do with the movie being canceled that evening?
  21. We've done Trails End unexpectedly after a long day too. Hits the spot. We also like having Roaring Fork close by for a last minute dinner when we don't feel like cooking our planned meal or going further to Disney Springs or another resort.
  22. Can't say I ever heard that Walt quote. Must have been a WWofD hot mike moment?
  23. Better tell Bode that last step's a doozy or he'll end up ass over tea kettle. Lol.
  24. I read that a couple of nights ago, and then today I read that RPW CMs were told todayit will be permanent. I think I read that on the DIS so it's probably false.
  25. There are many rumors today that Rafiki's Planet Watch and Conservation Station are closing permanently in early Oct. Any confirmation on this?
