The Fiends invaded Da-FIENDed.....I mean, Defeated Creek Corps of Engineers Campground this weekend! 
 
Yes, Defeated Creek.  DIT's favorite (except maybe for the Fort) campground!  If you're not familiar with the place, check out my earlier trip report from here linked in my signature. 
 
This was an all-too-short weekend, and my original plan was just to share my pictures in the Grand Gathering thread and be done with it.  But then we were sitting around at breakfast this morning, and TnBob mentioned how he doesn't read trip reports because all he wants to see are some pictures, and not have to read through pages of comments and commentary.  So at that moment, I became determined to take my handful of pictures and stretch this thing out as LONG as possible.  :rofl3:   Plus, if I know he's not reading, I can tell some honest Bob stories and he won't ever know. 
 
So we need to stretch this thing out.  Just to annoy Bob.  Who's with me??

Our military passes have blackout dates too, which sucks because we only usually get holidays and the pre-deployment time that they try to get scheduled during a holiday so they don't have to give us anything extra.  I've been checking out passes and such to see what the best configuration is going to be, its like taking Algebra all over again!

Can you imagine the look on B's face when you got home?  Priceless!

I kind of got that vibe from a few Wilderness guests we shared some chats with on the bus.  It was kind of like, "Oh, you're at the campsite, hows THAT?"   I got annoyed with this one gal and went into how I never have to worry about bedbugs because we have our beds with us.

Having spent just a couple of hours around Nicole, I can confirm that she is indeed funny.
Add Nicki and Moe, and it doesn't get any better than that.

Ok so FA-TANG....
 
First of all, I don't even remember when this started, but I'm pretty sure it was on the flight down Thursday and I'm also pretty sure it came from Turkey Pants.  
 
Secondly, to get the true value from "FA-TANG" you must say it like you're in an old, bad, kung-foo fight movie with subtitles so that it sounds more like "PHtaaaaaaaaaang" with a bit of a lilt on the end.
 
Also helps if you throw in a karate chop move to emphasize it.
 
FA-TANG ended up being the rallying cry for our mission, and also was usually the precursor to hysterical giggling - there was a lot of that - and it started on the plane ride down.  In fact, we were a bit concerned that the local news headline was going to be "3 giggling lunatics de-planed by Southwest and left on the runway rolling around crying and shouting 'FA-TANG' "
 
The running joke also became my miserable timing in the use of FA-TANG.  Like.... 3 seconds *after* splash down on Splash Mtn, or after the hummer-sized stroller that cut me off was already 10 feet away.
 
Timing is everything, and as usual, mine is bad.
