twiceblessed....nacole got a reaction from Avatab.... Steve in Golf cart parking...
Yeah... I was thinking about this, after I posted. It's a really large campground; it would be so difficult for those who physically have a tough time getting around.
Even though we don't have a cart, I personally hope they don't get to the point where they have to ban them. Personally, I think that if they actually enforced rules (imagine how this would shock the crud out of people), that that alone would make a huge difference. I wish that they could hire a few police officers to patrol on golf carts; I think the notification coming from a police officer, would go a long way.
Sigh... as with most of the problems at the Fort: enforcement of the rules (or lack there of), is really the root of the problem.

If you like hot and humid, you'll have a good trip. If hot and humid makes you sick, you'll probably want to try for a different time of the year. If this is the only shot you've got...it's hard to pass up Disney, so I would say go...but drink tons of water and plan for down time to rest.

Yes.. I love them so.
Not
That being said... we did love our Jayco, because Jayco was a good company and allowed a local dealer (whom we trusted) to do the warranty work. Maybe you'll get lucky, in that respect. Also, the rally that Rennie has mentioned always sounded so nice to me. Hopefully you won't need many repairs but, if you do, hopefully you'll get a chance to attend one.

I never thought you'd stoop this low in order to get more up arrows. Give it up or I'll post that I'm having double quadruple heart and lung bypass surgery as well as suffering from hang nails on all my toes. But just in case, on the off chance, that you're not making it up, hope it all works out. After all, I need you healthy so that I don't feel guilty having so many more up arrows than you.

Oh gosh... lost track of your report, so glad I found it and was able to hear/see the rest! LOVED this! Your pictures are awesome. What a fun trip!
Loved the bed pull-down things. I've never seen those type of "murphy beds" beds before. What a great idea. I could see that working nicely, in an RV or even a house!
The dessert (with the cherry as the tail), too cute!
Thank you so much for writing this...you did a great job!

I think ponies are used with individuals who have paralysis, as they can handle some weight being put on them.

Oh gosh..
Amen. "PC" has gotten out of hand. There should be stricter rules and people should be able to ask.

Okay... last I'll say and then I'll stop hijacking (sorry).
My mom has lived with chronic severe pain, her entire life. She has horrible arthritis. It's attacked every part of her body. Her first memories of being in severe pain, were age 8. Age 8. And yet, she never used the handicap spaces until her mid-60's, when she (basically) could not walk. She never used those spots because she would say, "I remember being with Grandpa, who truly needed a spot, and people had abused the system and taken up those spaces, so he didn't get to go to the store that day. As long as I can walk, I will walk".
You don't abuse the system. You don't dismiss the people, who need the help.

Yep. Pet peeve of mine, for the reason that (some) folks are now bringing Fido into parks, restaurants, markets, etc... simply because they don't want to leave them. I've personally met people, who have flat out told me that they didn't want to leave their pet, so they simply buy (which anyone can do) a "service animal" vest and in they go. One couple at the Fort, actually went so far to have friend whose a doc, write a letter to say that their 4lb mutt "needed" to be with them for support (just in case anyone asked...but people are so afraid of not being "PC" anymore, that they rarely ask), This because (he admitted) they didn't want to leave their dog behind.
Service animals, like handicap parking, should be protected. It's boils my blood, to see people abuse the system because there are people who truly need assistance. Some, whose lives may depend on it, and there are people who (basically) flick mud on that need because they want to bring their pet with them.

My parents too, loved their cruise to Alaska (and that's saying a lot as they are beach people). I want to say, that they've been on 4 cruises and Alaska was their favorite.

That's what a police officer told me at the Daisy Festival last year. We saw a few people just walk in with dogs (even though pets are not allowed), so I asked the office of the policy. Of course, our daughter especially, always wants to bring and show off her pup, so she kept asking why we didn't bring Simon. I keep explaining to her (at the Daisy Festival, in Costco, at the market, etc...) that Simon is not a service animal and we're not going to lie, just to bring him with us.
See...this upsets me, just typing this.
It's, just... WRONG.

twiceblessed....nacole got a reaction from Lantana in 1st timers: Need golf cart if we have a car with us?
This^
If you're healthy, you'll be fine walking or biking. Outside of that, I would recommend a golf cart as it will just make things easier. The campground is large and spread out.
Have a great trip!

twiceblessed....nacole got a reaction from djsamuel in Site is losing its steam :(
It's true.. the site has slowed down. I, for one, don't always have a ton to say... but I do jump on several times a week to see if anything new has been posted and to post when I think of it. Hopefully, if we all do that, the site will pick-up speed. Which reminds me, of something that I forgot to post about
