First I've heard of it.  If they do, they'll need to stop the 3 or 4 tents and 5 families on one site in the tent loops ?

That was our thought on that too... soon, she will be able to get herself in/out and it's just the bed so it's only at night.

Yes, unfortunately CW could be great, especially because they are so large that they hold so much potential however... they always fall short.

Funny enough, we thought we'd like the dinette with little ones but I would be fine with table/chairs.  I almost pulled the entire thing out however, I was having a tough time finding exactly what I wanted for the space and under the one remaining dinette booth is where we have our dirty clothes tub so, it really does serve a purpose.  It's much better with the different fabric (I think).  I was never a fan of the fabric, window treatments or wallpaper boarder that Jayco had in there.  I did pull out the crate and put two cute IKEA chairs (that we have in the dining room in our house), just to get a visual, and it looks super cute so.. I don't think we'll have a problem with resell. Just a thought for your camper

I can't remember if I mentioned this or not, but when we arrived in April... we had requested our favorite loop, the 100 loop.  We even requested a specific site that we love and the management of The Fort was gracious and were going to grant us that site, until they realized that we had a pet.  Some of you might remember that we adopted a pup at the end of February (this, of course, was after we had made our reservations).  Now... in all our stays at the Fort in the 100 loop there has ALWAYS been a dog near us.  I know this, because Boo was terrified of dogs up until a year ago... so dogs being in the 100 loop was an "issue" for us (not terrible as the owners were always good, but just sites we had to try and stay away from).  So, when we went to check in last month and the CM asked if we had pets (which I honestly don't remember being asked that before but.. who knows, maybe they did) I couldn't lie.  I wasn't going to "offer" any information, but when asked... I had to say, "yes".  At that point, he explained that we could not stay in the 100 loop as it was not a pet loop.  He was VERY nice about it, still I was upset for the fact that (as explained) there had always been dogs in that loop.  We asked for a supervisor and she came out.  She too was VERY nice.  I explained my feelings and that we were not big fans of the 300 loop (sorry, I know that several of you like it... just not a good fit for us) and she was very gracious and agreed to my request:  Disney upgraded us to a Premium site at no extra charge.  As a family who has spent a ton of money at Disney and The Fort, we appreciated the service.  Long story short... this furry family member is costing us more money from here on out; we've reserved a Premium site for September 

Lots of information said and I'm rushing to get out the door to the beach (yay!!)... so I'll quickly just add my 2 cents.
The Phantom camper doesn't bother me too much as we (typically) book pretty far in advance, so it hasn't really hurt us however... I can see it be very frustrating to those who are local and are trying to grab last minute sites.  As for blocking out weekend only stays, I think they need to do this... at least a certain percentage of the sites.  Too many folks are trying to make the (sometimes long) drive to The Fort and they'll stay longer than 2 nights over the weekend.  
I do agree with limiting the number of people allowed on each site and this INCLUDES those ridiculous "night parties" where guests/visitors blow up a large projector screen and then line up 20+ chairs for people to sit out at 10p at night and watch a movie.   You may be camping, but you're not in the middle of nowhere... your neighbors are close by and I find it rude to disrupt people with your movie or music.  On the same topic, there is no reason that one site should have 3 tents and 4 cars.  
All of this boils down to two things:  rules and a consistency in enforcing those rules.  The golf carts are dangerous.  Period.  They need to hire actual PD to patrol the park.  
As for maintenance at the property.... attention to detail has been lacking these past couple of years.  That needs to be changed.
Love The Fort... so many wonderful memories for this mama.  Each time we go, I ride my bike around the loops and I am reminded of my babies at certain stages as I ride by different sites and think, "they were that old when we stayed there".  Sigh... tears me up thinking about it.  The Fort can be magical.  Disney can take the reins and turn it around.  I have no doubt.

In my opinion, the full hook-up sites seem to have less privacy as the bushes seem to be thinner between spots.  I agree with Carol, that the most of the full hook-ups do seem larger than the preferred but the preferred is closer to the marina (if you have a bike or golf cart, that won't matter as much).

I love Airstreams; it's hard for me to not stalk owners at campgrounds...haha ?  For us, we just couldn't afford one and we wanted a little more space that a slide affords you.  But seriously...love 'em.
I agree with you on the larger tanks.  We have a local CG that we really like, but we limit our stats to 3 nights (typically 2) because the sites are not full hook-ups.

Yep...going,going,gone.  They are tearing them out as I speak.  Foreman confirmed that campsites are going in, but he did say, "just this section"...I would guess that means the entire 2100 loop with mor construction elsewhere.

Last visit, we received from Craisins samples... those were actually pretty good!

I could be wrong.. but my guess is Disney is trying to keep people away.   The crowds are insane and (typically) most rooms are paid for each night so... Disney has decided to keep making money (by charging more), but hopefully cut down on crowds which (ultimately) saves them money as it's less wear-n-tear on the properties and if the crowds are less, fewer dollars spent on staff.  Could be wrong...but, that's my thought.   Sad though as things have reallly changed these past 5 years; of course, the entire world has changed...
