And on the flip side...I see people in wheelchairs trying to get through a crowd and everyone just goes around them, no courtesy whatsoever.

Very true. I have watched people in ECV's wait forever and no one will let them go. They just look at them and keep walking.

I'd like to see a rule about people cutting off people in strollers, ECVs and wheelchairs.

Ok mainly the ECVs and wheelchairs. I can't tell you how many times I've seen people step right in front of a wheelchair. Don't they realize how hard it is for some people to maneuver those wheel chairs. Have a little respect for people in general but especially does with special needs.

And hiw about a rule that says if your walking down the middle of the street you can't stop abruptly to look at your map and block everyone else's path.

ECV and wheelchairs - it works both ways ... people cut them off, and some of them act like they have the right of way regardless. Both are wrong and should be covered somehow. Impossible, but ...

Yes!

Courtesy, kindness and respect on both sides would make a happier experience for all.

I try to not let strollers be behind me, ankles have been bumped too many times!!

A problem I've encountered is when stepping aside or stopping for another person to be able to move and making the impatient people behind me mad with me.  But the stream of people was just moving on and not helping a fellow human being.  So take this selfish people... :raspberry:

I've always joked that when I retire I'm going to become a Disney Etiquette Specialist. Especially for those parties of 4 or more who just have to walk side by side, and as said before all decide to stop in the middle of the road

This annoys me even if they don't stop. They walk slow generally trying to carry on a conversation and make it impossible to pass.

The newest phenomenon is the idiots who text and walk at the same time.  Not a great idea in a crowded theme park. It has become rampant.

If you need to look at your phone or text.  Get the heck out of a walkway and take care of your vital business that can't wait Instagram post that no one is going to look at.

This reminds me, on our last trip I saw a stroller that had 3 or 4 seats in a row. I tried to take a picture for you guys and failed.

My kids are close in age (the fifth was born when the oldest was still 5) so I had a good sized triple stroller. I had that because I walked everywhere. I would have never dreamed of taking that monstrosity into Disney. In fact we waited until our youngest was 4 before even attempting a Disney trip and when we did we rented the double stroller. We only went once with a stroller, I hated pushing that thing around but I am one of those moms who brings the least amount of stuff possible. Whenever we went on trips I outfitted my kids with little backpacks with snacks and whatever else they needed and hated carrying diaper bags. I hate being a pack mule, so glad those days are long gone.

What it all comes down to, is Disney came make all the rules they want however...if they are not enforced (which means that Disney will have to put money into hiring true/real security and not expect an 18 year old CM to approach a large grown man) then the rules will continue to be broken.  More than that, sad that these rules even need to exist...  sad and pathetic.

I'm so panicking about being a stroller idiot when I have my kids and no help. I have seriously done the scenario over and over in my head so I have a plan in place.

Do you have 2 or 3 kiddos?  With two, if you don't have one...try a sit and stand stroller.  When our youngest was born, we took him to Disney at 10 weeks old and our oldest was almost 5. She didn't actually need the stroller (because the child really is the Energizer Bunny...especially at Disney), but I really liked having the opportunity to have her stand on the platform simply so she wasn't ran over by other guests trying to race in front (or along side) of us.  I had a Joovy stroller that I LOVED because it was actually a very compact sit/stand stroller.  Very easy to maneuver, very light to push/fold up.  Small basket underneath that was a little tough to reach... but that's because the stroller itself is not huge, which is a big bonus for crowded areas such as Disney.  That same stroller, I have seen a mama pushing three as one sat in the actual seat, another sat in the "back seat" while the oldest stood on the platform.  Heavy load for the mama to push...but worked as she was trying to maneuver through crowds.

This was our preferred mode of transportation.  We never took it to Disney though.  Believe it or not it is the easiest stroller to control!  It does come in a 5 seater but not until after we got this one.  This was taken the day before I sold it to Triplet plus 1 Mom in GA. It was my sanity what allowed me to get out of the house alone with just the kids...even grocery shopping.  Push kiddos pull shopping cart.

The "new rules"  are common sense for the sensless!
