G lost a tooth during the night and here we are on Thursday....Let's go fly a kite... up to the highest height! Let's go fly a kite... and send it soaring...Up through the atmostphere.. up where the air is clear... Let's. Go. Fly A Kite!Gabe doing what GAbe does best while lil H is kite flying..Looks like lil H is getting some kite flying instructions from his dad..HOT SNOT! WE ARE BACK IN BUSINESS!Kite flying in a field can really get ya in the mood for a cool treat! Soooooo we did what any self respecting person living in a hay field would do...We went into town to the DQ!!!Here are a few bella vistas on our way out of the field.GA Pecan TreesGetting back on a paved road that leads to a main road. :rofl2:Just a view from the paved road that leads to the main roadAnd anotherNight views in the big town of Baxley GA (it really is a rather cute lil town)Destination DQ! Actual nylon kites (not the cheap plastic ones), wide open space and wind go a long way helping with kite flying. DQ will be on the right. Oops! I meant my other right. ;DYes, H always shows SC the love. Even in GA. Home of the Sweet Onion.But such an excursion requires protein.After breakfast we headed out .. Vidalia bound!This is a photo of the only safe and appropriate place to have a fire in the hay field.A swampy view on our way out .... This is a good one.I hope you can handle the excitement!!!A photo of a rusty tractor with weeds growing tall around it. There is a structure being built but we don't know what it's going to be. As soon as we find out we'll let ya know. I know the suspense is killing you! ;DH is throwing out the trash. The big church in town.You know you've arrived in Vidalia when you start seeing art like this...The kids did get a little excited when a Firetruck passed us.We were all getting ready for more food... and it WAS past lunchtime so we settled on Ruby Tuesday's. A good decision.Those boys tore up some chopped steak (aka tiny burger patty)!!! H and I ordered the same thing ... and it was good.Now, remember when I said you know you're in Vidalia when you see the painted wooden onion on the side of the road? WELL...You REALLY know you're in Vidalia when you see a movie theater with a name like this....And you REALLY REALLY know you're in Vidalia when you see a campground like this...We did pass by the Vidalia Onion Factory. But we passed it so fast I didn't get a photo!Epic Fail! Boo me!Lil H had been hounding me all day to let him take some photos. Guess what! Ya'll get to see a bunch of silly photos of us in the car. DID SOMEONE SAY SONIC!!??We're almost back to our home in the hay! This berry place is where we turn on the paved road that leads back to Hayfield Ave.And here are some of the berry fields....I hope that wasn't too much of an excitement overload! :rofl2:Up next... Jacksonville Zoo was the destination of choice! :yay:Years ago my dad tricked me into going took us on a WDW trip that included a few "stops along the way". One of those stops was the Okefenokee Swamp.I don't care for swampsor alligatorsor mosquitoes.I think you get the idea.So passing by this school on our way to Jax conjured up a few nightmares memories for me.Of course this big Pecan Tree Orchard helped me to refocus ...Here we are entering the big ol south GA town of Waycross. Actually that was not snarky. Waycross is a pretty nice sized town. I shudder... I declare these boys always look like they are in a puppy pile! Won't be long now! We were really wishing we'd waited to fill up the gas tank! :rofl2:Nearly there!We have arrived!!!Gotta say... We absolutely loved their walk through aviaries! The landscaping and exhibits and this zoo were beautiful!Joe Cool. aka... lil HAnyone who has ever read one of our TR's... you know that lil H MUST have his photo climbing, standing or sitting on a rock. This trip was no exception.This moment may have been the most exciting moment of the entire day for me!Sting Ray Bay.I was super excited about possible petting a sting ray and mostly about lil H getting the chance to pet one!I never saw this one coming.....GABE reached right in and let the sting ray gently swim under his hand and petted him!!!!! :heart:I wasn't expecting that and barely got the camera up in time ! I wish I'd gotten his entire face but I'm glad I at least got what I did. Go GABE!Sadly, lil H nor I got to pet one but we still had a blast watching them swim around. After leaving Sting Ray Bay we headed over to the train.Both the boys love trains and it goes all the way around the zoo giving you a great view of the exhibits.Think I'm at the photo limit.. BRB.
