RV loans
PGHFiend replied to Littleolwoman.aka.Kristie's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Good sam seems to offer reasonable rates, though I do not know what the condtions are. Many use a home equity loan and deduct the interest as a second home. I personally will use my credit union as I do not use any commercial banks. Good luck. -
Maybe a New Rig Next Spring
PGHFiend replied to PGHFiend's topic in Camper Suggestions: from tents to Class A beauties
Going to the Hershey Rv show on Saturday. Hoping to see all of the rigs we have narrowed down to. I am still hoping to find one used that have had the kinks worked out. I have found extensive complaints on all varieties of rv chat forums regardless of manufacturer about new build quality. And I mean many more than usual it seems. -
Pancreas, liver, gastritis...
PGHFiend replied to twiceblessed....nacole's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
I had my gall bladder out about 10 years after a major attack on Christmas Eve. I now know that my my attack was caused by some type of food allergy that I have developed out of nowhere and most likely was the problem due to the identical pain I still sometimes experience. I can no longer eat hummus or regular chick peas, fish including tuna but not shrimp and guacamole. I have no idea why but when I do, I experience intense abdominal pain and what feels like a squeezing in my esophagus. I mean just one chick pea will bring it on. Very uncomfortable. Amazingly, wings, pizza and mickey -
Glad all of the fiends weathered the storm ok! As far as the Disney revenue, doing the math at 30 million a day, they lost 1.2 percent of their annual revenue. That's like most of us losing $1,000.

Prayers For Our Texas Fiends

Hope any members and their families are safe tonight. Salvation army gives the most of your donation to the cause as they have the lowest overhead. And my credit union is currently matching donations. -
Did I just pay $175 for a campsite?
PGHFiend replied to Starbuc71's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
I just saw $175 for the spring break trip we usually do the week before Easter. Not sure what to think about that. If we stay at Lake Magic, it's like getting 4 day tickets for the 2 of us for free. Or on the other hand, stay at the Fort and only get a one or 2 day ticket instead. Hard to make up our mind right now. -
Tire blow outs
PGHFiend replied to Andrew Roberts's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Buy the new Goodyear made in USA endurance tires. They are now a forced option on many new RVs. As far as nitrogen, seems like a good idea if you can can always replace with more of the same. Otherwise regular air should do the trick as it has. -

Thanks for the insight Nacole. I am a still looking at the Cougar 327rlk, but have noticed it's the longest overall and only has the 6 lug wheels. I have also noticed it is missing some doors in the bathroom and has some wierd night stand thing going on in the bedroom. I'm also looking at units now with the quiet cross ducted ac's. These units I'm looking at are all the same layout that hasn't been available except in the last 1.5 years and the used market is slim, but I'm still looking for one of them to pop up. Also adding the Crusader 338rsk and the Sundance 3250ckss to our sea -

I think you can walk up most any time. I have done reservations in the past but the last few trips, just walked up. -
Every time I've been at the marina, there are plenty of boats.

Pretty much the worst way to get a new trailer! I don't mind those swivel trailers if they aren't overloaded. Glad you're ok. -
Bugs
PGHFiend replied to twiceblessed....nacole's topic in RV Repairs on the Road, at FW and Elsewhere
Try Mcguairs flagship premium wax. Real slick stuff, bugs wash right off my car and truck with it, windshield too. And for washing their gold class car wash is hard to beat. I have a long brush and pole I use to wash.... I've posted about it here before, I'll see if I can dig it up. -
Disney Springs Preferred parking - $10
PGHFiend replied to djsamuel's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
Every time we go to DS or former DTD, we just feel like it's a money grab. The constant advertising to get you there makes you feel there is more to do than just spend more money. It's definitely not on our radar as part of a complete trip. This is just another example of the grab. -

Disney Character Warehouse Outlet Stores
PGHFiend replied to BradyBzLyn...Mo's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
Not sure if I mentioned that we went to the character outlet during our spring trip. Nothing I needed, but I saw a stack of those foam garden kneeling cushions with a disney print for 3 bucks each, so I picked one up to keep in the camper for repairs. Next night at the emporium on main street, saw the same "Parade Cushions" for sale for 19.99 each! Amazing markup at the MK. -

I've thought about going to the Hershey show for a few years now. The Pittsburgh one is really good too, fills up both floors of the convention center if you are ever over this way. Surprised no one here has a newer cougar. -
We did APs 2 years back to back, and they ended over a year ago. We only started going in the last 5 years, so we've seen many changes in that short time span (think paper fast passes). We still love going and will continue to do so at least once per year, but do notice the overcrowding even since we've started coming to the parks. We both commented about how there were overflowing trash cans on the last visit before easter. I even asked a CM to have one emptied inside Ariels grotto as it was so full people were throwing trash on the ground all around it. When I asked, the people behind us
