  1. I guess it's not only the price of the site, I mean, I can deal with 120 a night but for me coming from PA the fuel adds another $625. We can drive the car for 200 and get a decent place near DTD for 100 a night. But...then you lose the ability to grill and cook and drink etc. That makes up for the lost 400......it's just from where we live it's a dead even price breakdown. I have done a lot of research on traveling to DW and we would spend the same flying and getting a cheap hotel, driving and getting a better hotel, or pulling the 5th wheel and staying at the Fort. But the Fort seems to al
  2. I'd allow 30 minutes for boat to MK minimum and an hour for busing to most locations, due to the need to catch an internal bus to get to the oupost, then wait and transfer to an outgoing bus. We sometimes get annoyed and drive anyway due to sometimes strangely long waits for buses due to dispatch. IE: three buses for Epcot will pass while waiting for one Animal Kingdom. Ymmv, but a bad day at the Fort beats a good day at work!
  3. X100 on Jason. He even gave my wife and I a personal tour of the Fort last Christmas. Great guy.
  4. The trolley I found to be hot, crowded, slow, and the choice of public transportation for all of the meth users in the area. As Dave said the bread is damn good. I recommend skipping all of the touristy stuff and head straight to the roaring fork motor trail, and clingmans dome in the national park .
  5. But you did! No comments about working in the word "shave".....you guys are slowing down
  6. I wonder if Disney will do some deep discounts later this year and spring to offset the shave in tourism from brazil. They are down 25% in some instances as mentioned in the article. http://www.foxnews.com/travel/2016/09/15/international-turmoil-park-pricing-dents-orlando-tourism.html
  7. It has gotten really expensive that week. I think we're going to skip it this year and go somewhere else because of it. This would have been our 5th spring break in a row there.
  8. The coolest floor plan I have seen for families is the forest river wildwood heritage glen 368rlbh. My buddy has one and it has a little bunkhouse side mid ship and a really nice full living room. Very unique and practical.
  9. Pick up a house phone at any comfort station and use the directory. It's never worked for me either.
  10. The 2 piece spark plug was a silly idea, but the motors they are installed in are pretty stout mills and the lower value of a GM powered class A vs a ford modular is evidence of that. Turbo chargers and super chargers can shorten an engines life, but is usually thats the case when those are added after the engineers are done. Obviously diesels that run half a million miles are not affected by it, and so far, GM and ford have had great success with the turbo engines. Biggest problem I have read about is carbon accumulaton in the intake tracks. The use of gasoline direct injection into the engi
  11. Just went 3 weeks ago, bread is good! Must sell a lot of it too, lots of rotten teeth around to prove it.....different clientele so say the least. Rides were good for the price and had an aire of danger to sone of them in a fun, yet un-inspected kind of way, Especially the Mountain Sidewinder.
  12. We are looking at going to class A and I'm always interested in a question like this since wed have to drag the car from PA. I know a chevy spark can be had cheap, and I do believe that Orlando is the rental car capital of the world.
  13. My buddy had a new Chevy Avalanche a few years back. He went to get some mulch and when the guy loaded it, he forgot to flip down the bucket locks on the skid steer. Dropped the bucket and all down the side of his truck! Not funny at the time, but hilarious now! BTW, my truck is a real truck, and does have spark plugs....10 of 'em!
  14. It was really nice there. We stayed in the 5th wheel at the Hilton Harbor RV Resort- really nice place, in fact it's probably my number 2 behind the fort in terms of overall appeal. It was our first time in Hilton Head and we can't wait to go back.
  15. Just a heads up, we travelled to Hilton Head over the last week, and were able to ride our bikes into the DVC there. We walked all around and checked out the grounds and the pool, and it was all first class like everything else Disney. We were overlooking the pool and talking to a cast member there, and she told us about the snack bar over at the Disney beach house. We were able to get access to the Palmetto Dunes Plantation as we had family there, so we stopped over. We checked out the beach, had a dole whip, then ordered another with coconut rum. A few days later we stopped back and had ano
  16. X2 on the crocs. I have sandals and loafers and I alternate them day to day. Couldn't imagine not having them in the parks.
  17. Just FYI, that is absolutely the same or almost same as the mesh tarp t harbor freight. It doesn't even have the track bead sewn in, you have to use the hooks like Todd does on his and it has grommets all the way around, well, because it's just a tarp with 3x markup. I might try the Harbor Freight idea and cut off or sew closed I don't need.
  18. Got mine on eBay from ShadePRO. I really like it, and it came with a stake kit and a storage bag.
  19. Check out this thread over at the Heartland Owners Group, I've been following it for a while. There is something mentioned specifically called a Blink- it's new to the market, but has gotten good reviews. https://www.heartlandowners.org/showthread.php/56566-checking-on-pets-left-in-trailer-alone
  20. Maybe I missed this, but when did they put up monitors on the bus stops?
  21. I have used sherberth road about 100 times, It's the best way in imho. on the way out just go to the 429 as it dumps you off after the red light because if the way the Jersey wall is constructed.
  22. Is it disney dollars or simply disney gift cards? If it's gift cards, you can use as many as you want at check in and can even consolidate them onto one card to simply things. I bought my last round at a grocery store that was offering 29 cents per gallon for every 50 dollars purchased. Worked well for us as we were heading out for a trip soon, think I bought a grand worth.
