  1. We're 100 loopers too, and its prob worth taking the bus all the way to the front, especially if there's a storm. Have a good time
  2. Im guessing it is after this experience. I have never been there in the daytime, after maybe 5 sleeps there now. Ill be trying to hit Walterboro next trip if not the thousand trails near the 26 and 95 intersection.
  3. On our way to the fort the week before Easter, we stopped at our usual Orangeburg, SC Cracker Barrel to sleep for the night. It was a slow go that drive and we didn't get stopped until about 1:30 am. As we were moving some stuff and the dogs to the 5th wheel to sleep, a beat up truck with 2 young "Canadians" approached me to solicit money for "gas". I told them I didn't carry cash when I travel and to try the gas station on the corner. After I spoke to them, they backed up and asked my wife if she had any money and I responded to them that I just told you we don't carry cash. I got all se
  4. How about "If you have any money left after owning a camper and staying at the fort, you might like this:"
  5. I've always wanted to ride on one of those and have never seen them out except for the show they do with the 20s style cast members. Maybe this will help!
  6. I noticed that stuff the first time at the fort, the frying pan is from Walmart. 8 wonder who has the job of shopping and bringing stuff back?
  7. High idle time is the culprit on these from what I've learned. Hopefully you make it home ok
  8. Wife and I had the same order, Shrimp Flat-bread and a Meat Lovers pizza when we visited last month. The flat-bread was her favorite meal, the shrimp are actually huge O'Hana sized whole shrimp. My pizza was also very good- The only reason we went was to see if we could catch a sneak peak of the pizza robot in the back but we had not ever been there before, so maybe they took it out if this is an all new menu. (We didn't know that).
  9. That's awesome......it's like the where's Waldo of fiberglass and luan
  10. On google earth? I always check the new maps to see if I can see myself anywhere, so far the closest I've come is my dad on his zero turn mower at his place. When I look in the 100 loop, I recognize the guy in 108 as the older gentleman who winters there. Just curious if anyone else ever found someone or themselves there......I think a screenshot of that on a workplace desk would really be cool to look at on those looong work days.
  11. Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy you a site at the Fort.
  12. My gifted railroad spike is my favorite so far, just need to make something to hold it.
  13. Maybe get each family member a glass break hammer to keep in their nearest drawer. That and a tough burlap or similar fabric to lay over the window edging? In a real situaton, you would not be working about breaking the camper or minor injuries. Good smoke detectors and plenty of them are key in a camper.
  14. I meant to look at the 2100 comfort station on my last trip. ...is it visibility trashed from the outside?
  15. Yes, I just used it 2 weeks ago. They are now called Action Gator tire-- or something close to that. They mounted a tire for me for free, with a smile, after I had been waiting in Wal-Mart hell for an hour. They also have trailer tires there, on hand. Excellent service from them that day.
  16. I had an amazing experience with the car care center in the MK parking lot on our last trip. I'd be willing to bed you could get someone to come out from there and tighten it for you. Worth a shot, ask for Corey if you can.
  17. They had a bail, and what looked to be like gym class bows and arrows. They must have been shooting while i was cooking on my camp grill, but I didn't notice until we sat down at the picnic table on the coquina. I yelled "hey boys" and pointed a motion t9 shoot the other way and the parents put a stop to it. To me, it would be strange to even consider bringing that with me in the first place.
  18. It's been busy so far with a seemingly different not so friendly kind of vibe. There is a major fiesta in the site next to me. They were forraging for firewood in my site and shooting archery into a practice bail aiming at my wife and I during dinner. They seem like nice ppl though so pick your battles this weekend.
