There is still a place in Bradenton called Mixon's. They not only sell oranges and orange juice but have orange ice cream, fudge, and a whole store full of things they sell. Probably very much like the place near you that is now a car dealership and what Beckers did with her kids. They also have a tour of the groves and you can have weddings there. www.mixon.com

I've done both solo and don't mind either one. I do like 1500 because it's more central but, like you, wasn't around much so it didn't really matter.

I've done the swing things at other theme parks as well where they haven't been so far off the ground. I actually like those. This one is so high in the air though that if anything happened and someone fell out of it, they would be plummeting to their death...that is the part I have a problem with.

You won't see me doing this either.

I would totally buy a Fort rocking chair! I hope the Fort big wigs are reading this one - they could make a lot of money selling those rocking chairs.

I think I will be going to Texas in 2024. I've never been to Austin or Waco so those are my two choices I will have to explore. Waco gets more time so I will have to be there on the day of the eclipse.
