For us Disney has been our one big annual vacation for the past 14+ years. We were able to do 2-3+ weeks at a time because DH could use all his vaca time in one chunk (he worked there 20+ years so he had almost 4 weeks per year) and I work from home, or wherever I bring the laptop.
Budget-wise we've haven't found another vacation that interested us (yet) that we could afford for even a week that's comparable to what we pay to camp at the Fort for 3 weeks - even as the rates have gone up.  A big part of that has been planning out trips to be able to use annual passes for 2 years' trips so we're only buying park tickets every other year.
Plus having that annual pass in my pocket has given me the ability to find excuses to "drop by" for a quick trip with family/friends every so often.  (see "that one time my SIL and I drove 40 hours to spend 24 hours in MK" LOL!)

Yes.  I will go pick it up and go over every inch with them.  I hope I'm always nice.  I can be firm... but hopefully I'm always kind and respectful (even if I have to remind myself of this, several times during some conversations ).

Ok it was driving me crazy so I spent way too much time looking, but I found it!
 

Things around here are very much up in the air still, but we do have a reservation.

Good News! Disney just caught Abby the lost dog. Used a cage trap chicken& ribs. She was very calm in the cage. They had her a few minutes ago in 1800 by the greenway.  She is finally going home. Please spread the word...😀

My sources tell me it will be 101 Dalmations themed, covered for bad weather, and includes a meet and greet (photopass optional). $5 per turd or $99 with a desert party option.

We are going to be in our current location for two more years until the teenager graduates high school.  After that, depending on where he wants to continue his education, we will be relocating.  I am hoping it will be back to Florida all year long where I belong instead of just several months per year.  If that happens, we will most certainly be planning more GG's in Florida.  This way we can all have a less expensive option and those of us living close can continue the day trip process.  One of the schools my son is looking at is UCF.  I would love for him to go there, lol.

$150/night hurts just saying it. 
When we went to the SW last Spring, I cancelled a week at the Fort (8 nights I believe).  That one week paid all of our camping fees (we were gone 4 weeks), plus $200 or so left over and applied towards the cost of fuel.

You're still a FORT FIEND... We haven't camped for 2 yrs, but everybody's still stuck with me posting....😂

The way I understand it they will still keep their FPs. 
 
I wish they would go back to the old system.  Walk up to an attraction, and get a FP.   Completely fair system  
IMHO. Disney creates these silly rules and people find ways around them. 
Yall do know you can book FPs before the 60 day window?   Or is that a loophole people don’t know about???
Try getting a dinner rezzie at Christmas.   They are all booked at the 180 day mark.   Because most people don’t know exactly which day they will eat at...,insert restaurant here, so they make a rezzie for every day they will be at WDW.  And tie up 5-6 rezzies 
And then they finally get to book their FPs, 30 or 60 days out.  
“But wait. Are we sure we want to eat at BOG on Wednesday or Thursday?  Let’s wait till cousin bob decides what he’s going to do. 
As long as we cancel 24 hours before our rezzie we will be fine.”  
Thats why you can sometimes book dining rezzies that morning. 
I think as long as Disney keeps trying to control how we Disney, people will try to beat the system.

And you won’t have to try to close loopholes.  

You can experience that and more when booking the Magic Four Way Special at Mickey's Backyard Massage Parlor and Casino.  And it'll cost a lot less than $12,000.  Well...a little less anyways.  

For the price they should let you snort a line from Elsa's cleavage

Best social media comment I saw on this so far is that they're buying this land because it's where the line for Star Wars Land is going to start when it opens. 

You can pretend it's FL in August and eat them in the shower.

Or you could always get a job with Disney,  get paid crappy wages but also get passes to 'get in free' to the parks.
 
That's how I did it. 😉 Also married a man who stayed a cast member long enough to retire with a silver pass.  Ta-Daaa
