The CM with Hullahoop is Barbara. She is a legend among anyone who has worked MS. She is Walt reincarnated as a woman. She is a blast to work with and always has a smile on her face and dances around.

You can find her driving the MS vehicles, working the crowd prior to parades, and even dancing down the street before and after the parades.

    Oh, and, Page 1?

Only one extension is available. You can call the customer service number and plead your case. They may take pity on you. The reason for the one extension change is because folks would just keep getting extensions and the servers would get overloaded. They made it a permanent storage area in essence. I would get on those books though.
As far as uploading pictures, those are good for 45 days from upload.
And yes, the site is usable even after all photos have expired. There just won't be any photos to view unless you upload them.

    I found this today.

RF-enabled Key to the World cards can be issued instead of a MB if a Guest requests it. This card functions the same way a MB does, including touch to enter resort room, touch to enter theme parks and water parks, touch to pay, FP+ and touch to associate photos. These cards do not have an active magnetic stripe; therefore, they will not work in legacy FP distribution machines.

 All resort Guests will be using FP+ service exclusively.

A small number of Guests will receive an RF-enabled card for use on common doors. This includes Fort Wilderness campsite Guests as well as concierge-level Guests who check in to the resort before their room is ready. These cards will not have the other functionality that a MB does. So all they do is open the doors.

This was during the testing of the auto add of ride photos. It apparently worked. This is why it was only the one time. The test is over now.

The photo was not added to "you" and it did not identify you.

It read the number from the MB and associated the photo to that number. That number is registered to you in MDE, therefore, the photo shows up on your account. The reason your wife got the e-mail was because, that's most likely the e-mail address of the account the MBs are registered under or the lead on that particular trip.

Before anyone gets up in arms about this, remember, there is no information stored on those MBs. Zero. The only thing a MB has on it is a 12 digit number. That is it.

That number is registered in the computer system and linked to an account. So simply reading the MB will only tell them that a MB is an area. Not who the MB is attached to.

For photos, the photo is not assigned to you as a person. It is assigned to a number. The MB number. Then, the MB is linked to an account. There is a separation of information. Only certain systems can read certain information.

For example, when a MB is scanned at one of our view stations, the only thing we can see is the photos associated with that particular number. No other info is shown. Same with FPs. The system will only see the FP information for that MB. No other info can be revealed at a FP kiosk.

So yes, technically the bands can be tracked. But its just a number.

So no one thinks I have not been working or ignoring this thread. I have been trainer all week training new photographers. So there was no chance of running into me at work. So I just didn't post anything. I have another class to teach today.

Right now, our photographers are dropped. During the parades and fireworks we drop because we cannot be on the street for parades and the crowds take over the street for fireworks. After the fireworks, they will all be back out. There are some areas that do not drop though. Try the rose garden, Tomorrowland bridge, Fantasyland bridge, and the castle hub in front of the statue. Also, every character will have a photographer assigned to them.

devores got a reaction from BradyBzLyn...Mo in Devores... tell us about the new Photopass changes
    Well, the day has come.

Starting Dec 6th, PP+ will no longer be sold. If already purchased, it will still be honored, but no new sales.

Taking its place will be Memory Maker.

Memory Maker is similar to PP+, with one major difference. You no longer get a CD.

All your digital photos will be available for download for 30 days. This means ANY photo in your account can be downloaded. You can either do this photo by photo, or as a bulk download with the click of one button. Why did I highlight the ANY. This means if you share access to your photos with your friends and family, their photos will show up in your account and will be part of that download. So, if you're traveling as a family reunion of 40, one member of the reunion purchases Memory Maker and everyone shares their photos with that person. Then, you get every photo taken of the entire reunion for that one cost. Pretty neat.

    Now, how it works.

Memory Maker can be purchased pretty much anywhere. Online, DRC, Third parties (travel agents, ticket sales centers, etc), merchandise locations.

When purchased, you get a memory maker card. The card has a code on it that is entered into your MDE account. This code enables the downloads of the photos. Your 30 days starts upon first download. NOTE: Photos are still subject to the 45 day rule, meaning 45 days from date taken, the photo will be deleted. Memory Maker does not extend this rule.

Once the number is entered, you can assign the owner of the Memory Maker. Only the owner of the entitlement is able to download photos.

NOTE: Once purchased, there are no refunds. Purchase of digital media (Attractions+, digital download) can be used for upgrading to memory maker with original sales receipt but must be done within 24 hours of original purchase. Purchase of physical prints cannot be used to upgrade to Memory maker.

You and your party can collect photos any way you wish. They can use MBs, PP cards, the Memory Maker card. It does not matter how the photos end up in your account. As long as they are in your account, you can download them.

Memory maker includes all photos taken by photopass photographers, digital images taken at select dining locations and select attractions.

Guests will receive instructions when purchasing memory maker.

Downloaded photos will be high resolution suitable for printing.

    Now the cost:

Prepurchase: $149 (There is a 72 hour delay from purchase to use. Photos taken prior to this will not be available for download.)
On Site: $199 (All visible photos available for download)

Surprisingly enough, it has happened on a few occasions.

One I was working with Aurora and a guest in line walked up for her turn. It was an older woman and her husband. They walked straight to me and asked if they could have a picture with me. Ignored the princess. They said they had been watching me work and how much fun I was having and it just made their day. So they wanted a photo with me.

Another I was working with pluto and a few college girls asked me to be in their photo.

There's been more but they were at icon locations so no characters were involved (other than me).

Im going to jump in here and defend photopass.

To start, the photographer who told you that you could enter your band ID into the website was mistaken. How it works is, when we scan the bands, the photos are associated to that band ID. The band ID is encoded to the photos and they belong to that band ID. There is no way to screw up the system. Its automatic. Where the problems arise are when the bands are associated to your MDE account. If the bands are not properly associated, or the MDE account and mydisneyphotopass account are not related properly, then the photos will never make it to your account. This has nothing to do with photopass. This is the mymagic+ side of the equation. The disassociation could come from various places. Changes were made to the reservation, new bands were issued, changes to your MDE account were made, whatever. Its a finicky system.

With that said, it is unfortunate that you lost your photos. I am glad that they found some. It is a new system and there are growing pains. For future reference and to benefit anyone else if this unfortunate thing happens to them, there is a form you can fill out on the website that you can use to find those lost photos. You can even upload a picture of your family so the tech can verify the correct photos are put on your account. You send in the form and in a couple of days, your photos magically appear in your account.

We do not anticipate this, but know that it will happen.

There are allot of photos taken in a typical park day.

In an average 8 hour shift, I can average around 2500 photos. That's just me. There are 200 photographers who work at the MK a day. That's 500000 photos taken and sent through cyberspace to the server located 10 miles away. Add in the other 3 parks, downtown Disney, ESPN, and every resort. You can see the technological feat.

If you can, please humor me and do a few things for me.

    First,

Log into your MDE account, the one with the bands, and click on the photopass link.

Across the top, under where it says memories, you should see some links. These will be the parks you had your photos taken. You should see Magic Kingdom, and one that says Resorts and More.

    Select Resorts and more.

Since this was a MVMCP, your photos should be here.

Im sure you already knew this, but many do not.

Now, were all of your pictures scanned onto the same MB or were they on different MBs?

If they were all on the same, skip the next step.

If they were all on different MBs, Is it just the photos form one particular MB missing, or is it random?

Think very hard about one of the photos you had taken. One with a character is easier. Date, aprox time, location, and what you were wearing.

Now, send me a PM with that info, and possibly post a picture here from that day, and I will search for the photo. If they are form the same MB, all I need to find is one and I can find the rest, add them to a card and send the card number to you. If your pictures were scanned to different MBs, it will be a little more difficult as I will need a photo from each MB scanned to find them. Our system will register each individual band and will not know if they are associated with any others.

Also in the PM, include the MB id numbers of the ones you scanned photos to and an aprox number of photos you are looking for. Sometimes they will show up in our system but not the website, due to the association problems in MDE.

I cannot guarantee anything, but if I get the info I will look and see what I can do.

May I make a suggestion. Since I've been through this very thing.
Make the plans after you find out the details. The desert party would be great if he arrives around that time. But if he comes in at 7 am, that would be torture for him. Nothing worse then being away for 6 months then being that close and still can't see your kids or wife.
Take his thoughts and feelings into account.

Man, did I just show my geekiness?

Kuat Drive Yards, or KDY, was the largest military shipbuilding corporation in the galaxy at the time of the Galactic Civil War, based on Kuat.
Kuat Drive Yards mainly sold its products to the Galactic Empire, and the Galactic Republic previously. Many Kuat products could be found in TIE Fighters, armored fighting vehicles such as AT-STs and AT-ATs, Star Destroyers, and other military vehicles. Kuat Drive Yards did not sell only to the Imperials, however; many planetary governments purchased its weapons for the purposes of defending their planet from the war. These circumstances helped to make Kuat Drive Yards one of the most famous corporations in the galaxy.
