It's a lot better than it was in 2011.  It's primarily, if not all, 4 lane now.  Like Blake said above, go all the way to Vista and turn right into Disney property.  Other than a couple of speed bumps that are a pain with an RV, it's a quick straight shot to the Fort from there.

I thought they were going to use a crane with a big 9 Iron and do a chip shot out of the park to the parking lot!

I know that people who have been visiting Disney for years can become jaded with all of the upcharges, money grubbing schemes, etc and lament for the good old days.
I'll admit, I'm one of them.
And as much as I hate to see the prices going up and up, if you break down what you get for your $$, it's still a pretty good deal.  Compare the cost of  Disney with going to a county or state fair with their sketchy, maybe properly maintained rides and overpriced foods.  Or see how much a boat or train ride would cost you elsewhere.
And Disney's costs for everything from paperclips, to wages, to utilities have risen also.  And yes their ticket prices have risen a lot higher that various cost of living increases, but people still come.
I just wish that if they want to do all of their extra priced dinner/desert party options, that they set aside (or build) special areas for them, and stop intruding into areas that used to be open to everyone.

They are also good for checking the air temp coming out of your AC ducts.

Splurge and get one at Harbor Freight when they are on sale.
They are fun to play with.
I got one to check the stone temps in my pizza oven.
And now my wife uses it to check the temps of her heat press.
It even has a laser pointer built in to help you aim it.

Same here.  When we dined there and had pizza it was a great meal.  Then a year or two later we did a CP dinner package and ordered quite a few things from the menu, and most of it was disappointing.

We've not had great experiences with the other stuff on the menu at Via Napoli, but the pizza is always great so this is pretty terrific in my book.

That was my experience a couple of years ago too. General work email, Webex meetings, no issues, working with large files live on SharePoint, my Verizon MiFi did a better job. This was in 1700 loop. Just as practice though, when I'm working remotely on a wireless network, I generally just check out the file, download it to my hard drive, work it, then upload when done. Lots less bandwith required than saving to the server every few minutes.

We spent 6 weeks in the 300 loop last fall and I worked 3 of those weeks.  There were days/times when the WiFi was quite slow - typically around 4pm every day.  A few times I switched over to my mobile hotspot because it was too slow for what I needed to do. I'm a graphic designer though, so I'm moving some good-sized files around. If you just need a reliable connection to get online, check/send email, access info., etc. and not need a ton of superfast/high bandwidth, it should be ok.

I also noticed streaming wasn't very good on our last trip. We were in the 1400 loop as well near the NW corner. It was fine for web browsing and e-mail and if I was still working I could have done everything I needed to over the Fort's WiFi. In comparison to other campgrounds I've stayed at I would say it was better than most.

What I would do instead, is contact Jason at MouseCounselors (sponsor here on the board), and get him looking for a full hookup for you. Then cancel your premium once he finds it. He will do everything he can to find the right reservation for you!!

My motorhome self-identifies as a tent.  It's a little concerning at times but who am I to judge.   Maybe some of those people you saw in 2000 are going through the same thing.  I've been told it's best to let your RV express itself, and if staying in a partial site will show it the proper level of love and support, not to mention save a few bucks, I'm all in favor.

We were there last week of March thru first week of April. Crowds were ridiculous, but it was still fun. Avatar rides are spectacular. I do agree that we will probably try to avoid spring break in the future, but a summer trip could be fun. The new 5th wheel has 2 air conditioners so staying cool is not a problem. I wish I was sitting in my chair on lot 1417 right now. Thinking about whether a GaG was in my future, or maybe jumping a boat to the magic kingdom for a casual walk and some treats, maybe take the pups for a walk to the dog park, figure out what movie is playing tonight, or hoping the resort boat to a nice formal meal.
    Expensive.....yep

We have been  back almost a month now and we are ready to go back. It was still to crowded cost to much and I already booked it again for next year. We will never learn.

The reaction online every time Disney increases costs or implements new fees is predictable.  Outrage, and proclamations of "I'm done!  I'm spending my vacation dollars elsewhere!".  I've done it myself...many times.  And I have reduced frequency of visits, and gone to other places.  And yet, WDW attendance has not declined, and most of us do return at least occasionally.  Why?  Because, let's face it, there is nothing comparable elsewhere.  Sure, there are other theme parks, resorts, and fun destinations.  But there is no other place that offers everything WDW does in one massive, magical, pixie dust filled bubble.  That is why they get away with this, and will continue to get away with it.  If your local restaurant tried to keep raising prices, competition would do them in.  But at this point, Disney doesn't have that problem.  If you stay away, another American, or 15 Brazilians, will take your place.   The MK is already near capacity most days.  Pandora has helped AK approach capacity.  Just wait until SW Land opens and HS will max out.  I'm sure Epcot will get there too once they complete all of the upcoming work, and if not they'll just add more festival days.  So the point is, if you don't like this, I don't blame you.  But your choice is to suck it up, or go elsewhere.  Disney doesn't care what you do.  Their capacity is going to be maxed out for many years to come, barring a significant worldwide recession, so driving some guests away doesn't hurt them.  This is simply the law of supply and demand on painful display.
Now, with that said, I need to go make some ADR's....

I hate parking fees at any hotel. I feel that I am already paying to stay there why should I pay to park there....just another example of nickel and dime tactics. Nobody should be surprised Disney is pulling this one, after all of the other increases, surge pricing, amenity reductions, etc. It will only change when people stop going. But with all of the new attractions opening I don't see a demand issue in the future.

That's the plan. They will do everything but sleep in the trailer. And honestly, one of the three might.
One of the three is my FIL, and he is a larger, older guy that would be very uncomfortable in a TT. He would not want to stay in it overnight, but will enjoy being there during the day.
