  1. We saw enough people for it to be noticeable to me in Epcot over Labor Day weekend which wasn't any special event. My husband saw a guy fall into the bushes and the woman with him screaming at him "This just isn't funny anymore." There were a number of people in groups and even moreso than usual rude people they were fueled by drink rude people who thought they owned the pavement and everyone else better get out of their way. I'm not against public drink but I am against public drunk. And, stepping on my soapbox a little, there are 50 million places to go to drink but only one place to go tha
  2. YUM ! This look good. I look forward to trying it. Thanks.
  3. I hate those Coke Freestyle machines. Usually they're are the only source of ice also. I just need to get some ice for my iced tea and either some kid is making a mixture of 1000 flavors or some old person (older than me) has no clue how to use it. As busy as the food court drink machines were at All Star Music when we stayed there, at least one could get ice while someone else was getting his Coke product. You'd need a bunch of those machines to keep the same flow.
  4. I'm a very minimalist cook. I like to make things that include the words dump / throw and forget so I think I'll be using it a lot. The beef stew I made was very similar to this. And delicious. At first I thought the 6 qt looked small compared to my crock pot but it made a lot of stew. I guess it's deep rather than wide.
  5. My family would love it if I made ribs. What is the recipe for awesome Instant Pot ribs?
  6. I bought an Instant Pot on Cyber Monday solely on the recommendations here. It's the 7 in 1 6qt. So far, I like it. But I need some good recipes. I'm still in the stage where I need everything spelled out on using it. Anyone have some recipes or suggestions for websites? I don't have Kindle - should I pay for the book mentioned above? I particularly need things that are fairly quick to prepare, hearty and filling for 3 active teenage boys. So far I've made seasoned chicken thighs, cut up potatoes and beef stew that I found on random websites. On a humorous note, my dog doesn't like
  7. Interesting article. I remember begging my Mom to buy more E tickets.
  8. We were there they past two years just before Christmas and it was so pretty and a lot of fun. It's so sad but I hope people will keep their vacation plans, or decide to make plans to go. The area does depend on it.
  9. I'm a big fan of AAA. I've been a member for years and have only used it a couple of times, but 3 times in this past year. It's nice to have someone to call for help when there's no one close by to call. I got my son a membership as soon he got a car. Love the photos of Rocky with his tetherball. We have a crazy hyper dog and now I'm thinking a tetherball pole is just what he needs for Christmas.
  10. We don't go often, and my kids were in the later elementary age when we used to go annually, but I found that alternating park days and not park days worked best. We'd get back late on park days and then could sleep in or get going gradually on the next day and it seemed to reduce crankiness (of me). In addition to doing things at the Fort, one of our best non-park days was when we set out on an "adventure". We rode boat, bus and monorail and visited several resorts. We spent a long while at Animal Kingdom looking at the animals and relaxing in the hotel and had lunch at the Poly quick service
  11. They shouldn't call it a value resort if it even has electricity and water ! I hope he enjoys it.
  12. Maybe he can do commercials for the GAG. And since you love him so much, you'll appreciate that you almost didn't get to see him at all. How A Character From Moana Was Saved Only Months Before Release
  13. No, the bird and the chicken were annoying. Gerald was cute and misunderstood!
  14. Wasn't the chicken just the bird from Finding Dory in a different costume. I'm not sure he has that much range. (you may laugh now)
  15. We all enjoyed it also -- me,my husband and 3 teenage boys who use the cover story that their Mom made them go see a Disney movie even though they wanted to see it . Both my husband and one son, without hearing the other, said they thought the pig would have a bigger role. I replied that you can still sell the stuffed version even if the role wasn't that big. Make sure to stay until the end of the credits. You're welcome.
  16. And Kohls, which used to not exclude much of anything and now has a huge list usually written in tiny tiny print.
  17. I like Dinosaur, even the jerkiness, and was disappointed it wasn't open when we went in September. It's what I think of as a "Disney" ride, different than typical theme park rides you can do almost anywhere. While others are crowding Avatarland next year, I'd be perfectly happy just going on Dinosaur a couple of times.
  18. Once again I have to begrudgingly admire Disney for it's seemingly won't work money making ideas (especially since they won't be making this money off me). I think it really doesn't matter that we see this as a hot tent in the middle of Tomorrowland. People will start bragging on social media -- let the bloggers stay in them for free or reduced rates a couple of times -- and it will become the in thing to do at MK. Much like... well, practically everything else related to Disney. People will decorate their cabanas for the day. Share on Instagram the special snacks they prepared to eat IN THEI
  19. We spent Black Friday 2013 at Downtown Disney. We were staying at the Dolphin and played mini golf in the afternoon. We were trying to decide what to do that evening and decided to go to the theater at Downtown Disney to see the new Disney movie that had just come out. The movie was called Frozen. We took the bus and walked through the mobs from the far bus stop to the theater only to find out the only show with tickets left was at 10 pm. It was about 6 pm. We walked back through the mobs and waited in line for ages at Earl of Sandwich. Sat wherever we could find a seat to eat. Fought our wa
  20. I think it would be fun to just ride around in that old bus even if you didn't see much. What a great tour! I agree it's so hard to look at scenery when driving so that was a great idea.
  21. I love riding the train at Dollywood. I'm not a big coaster person so I usually ride it several times while the others ride the more extreme rides.
