Great to hear that the Outpost parking has been expanded! On our last trip (4 weeks in the Fort) we rented a car for the entire trip. Cost us around $900 for an SUV. Renting a cart would have cost over twice that. That's why we bring our cart and rent a car.

Well, I'm out of luck. We don't use any of those products.

Getting through security in November was a nightmare. It took me about an hour -- and that was through the ADA line. I got through in about 20 minutes, but it took my wheelchair and the person who was accompanying me about 40 minutes. Ridiculous! Any changes to cut down the wait is welcome!

If we do ever go, we won't be camping. I don't want to take any RV through the mountains.

When our kids were young we went in August every year. The heat and humidity were no worse in FL than they were here in NC. We'd hit the parks early in the mornings, spend the afternoons at the Fort, and go back to the parks after dinner. Always had a great time.

I've wanted to visit Dollywood for many years, but David refuses. I should have him read your TR!

I agree with Carol. We got caught on one of those islands years ago. And the land dropped away from the pad so steeply that we couldn't even put our chairs out under the awning.
