  1. Uh, huh. Right. Remind me who got you on this site???? Just kidding......... Thrill is safe (and in this case - so is his wallet). He knows how attached I am to my 5 year old Kipling purse.
  2. I can't remember when it was, but I remember the area right around the castle being dry while they refurbed some of the lower fiberglass "stone" on Cindy's place. It was really strange looking...
  3. We got ours Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is currently sitting in our living room. We won't be at the Fort until January. Pondering finding it a home in the house somewhere. I mean, after all, I don't want it to get messed up in the garage.......
  4. Welcome! Glad to have a North Mississippian on the boards - I am originally from Corinth. We are now in middle Georgia. We travel back and forth a good bit. Traffic can be a bear on I 20. I 75 has its own fun just south of Atlanta and south of Macon going through Cordele. The I 65 route may be your best bet.
  5. Thanks for posting, Beckers! That's why Disney does as well as they do - it is in the details.
  6. Oh my goodness!!! What do you think is the percentage of people who go to WDW for the first time and do NO planning or research whatsoever? I have lost count of the times on the buses that we have overheard people trying to figure out how to get somewhere or what was at what park. Classic was when the couple asked me if that bus was the one to get to Universal. So, yeah, I can imagine it happens on the cruise ships, too. I just can't see spending that kind of money to go somewhere and leaving your brain at home.
  7. No, you're not lazy! I wanted to get a Mickey waffle iron ('cause let's face it, everything does taste better when it is shaped like a Mickey head), but they are really expensive right now. The mix they use is Golden Malted Pancake and Waffle Flour plus whatever it calls for to add with it. I am curious if they taste as good at home..... Probably not.
  8. I don't count that as cheating - especially since the butter and cheeses we keep at home are generally lowfat. My thought is - it is better than nothing! AND I can save the guilt for a vacation at WDW. I need to try that soup sometime. I keep meaning to order the waffle mix that they use for the Mickey waffles. Amazon has it. I got the recipes for some of our favorites from Boma, but haven't tried them at home yet. Maybe soon, though....
  9. Yep, I missed out on that trip. While Andy was dashing through Disney I was home - and 8+ months pregnant. Thankfully his mom stayed with our two year old and me back home while his dad followed him around property. Maybe that I why I was so keen to throw caution to the wind and go to WDW when the baby was 7 weeks old.....
  10. Looking forward to it, Lou! Well, here goes........ Gotta go update my name...... Gee, I feel so accepted!
  11. Nope, not my plan. I would rather eat snacks while at all the other parks and spend 75% of my food budget at Epcot.
  12. We took a morning during a trip to WDW back in early 2011 and did the DVC presentation. It was very interesting and we enjoyed the special treatment though we told them we would not be buying anytime soon if at all. After looking at the lowest buy in we decided it would be far more sensible for us to buy a small camper since we would want to be at Fort Wilderness anyway and could use it on other vacations. Still working on that...
  13. We used this monkey leash we bought at Walmart. It was cute and made me feel safer. We could tuck the strap in when not needed.
  14. Woot, Woot!!!! The chicken and waffles (albeit sweet potato this time - I'm ok with that) with rosemary syrup is back!!!!!!!!! :jumpforjoy
  15. So, does anyone have a real picture of what this bamboo creature will look like? I know I am opening up myself to the talents of fiend photoshopping, but seriously, I can't picture this. DeVine, yes, she paints herself green and looks like she has vines growing all over her. But skinny bamboo stalks? In Africa? I think of Asia when I hear bamboo. Ok, I took a break before posting and did a bit of research (well, let's be honest, Wikipedia) and found that bamboo does indeed grow in sub-sahara Africa. Hmm... learn something new everyday. At any rate, she better stay away from panda
