  1. Nope. In my case it is about to bust out all over. Probably gonna be messy. I am about to choke on my hypocritical words to my sons that they have 3 more days of school before we leave and they have to focus on that. Meanwhile, I am trying to get everything done in my own preschool classroom early because I KNOW I won't be worth ANYTHING Friday!
  2. Well if Yawkey doesn't work out you could try "Loopy" or "Loopin'".
  3. I wish I could get over my fear of electric blankets and mattress pads! It would sure make life warmer. I know that they are made much safer now, but about 20 years ago my parents' electric blanket caught on fire with them in the bed. Thankfully they had not gone to sleep yet and were able to extinguish it quickly. I am sure there are far more dangerous things in my house right now, I just can't shake that memory!
  4. The system is still fairly new and like the Disney site in general, has its quirky times. Some people have had no problems while others have no luck. Stay positive. We have set up fastpasses for our trip in a week and a half. We will let everyone know how that works out. Keeping our fingers crossed...
  5. I think our heater is a Honeywell, too. Those little heaters are great. We have used them in tents and that is what Thrill used in the truck for his marathon trip over the weekend. The heat is pretty dry and has great sensors for turning off if tipped or accidentally covered by something.
  6. Welcome! I second the campfire sing-a-long/movie, fireworks and water parade, and pony ride for the little one. If the weather is warm enough for the pool (and it should be) the kids play area at the Meadow swimmin' hole is fun for both kids and they have a really shallow square pool as well as the regular one. There are a few playgrounds around where my boys love letting off steam. Even if you don't do the pony rides be sure and check out the stables at Tri-Circle-D. Depending on the construction there right now, you can usually see the beautiful horses in their stalls.
  7. We'll be at the World but at AoA. With just 4 days/4 parks and 6 people we aren't going to be able to manage a Fort visit. Hope to see some Fiends in the parks. I wish we had badges or pins so we could spot each other!
  8. A few years ago I heard that if you happened to find yourself on a late night Jungle Cruise ride without any children on it you might get more adult themed jokes. I haven't witnessed this myself, though. Thrill and I rode it once around 11 pm - last ride of the night I think, but there were still young kids on our boat.
  9. Oops, that is what I get for posting with my phone! Anyway, the manatees have been there for quite a while. The animals themselves may change as they only include manatees that have been hurt and are in The Seas because they could not survive in the wild because of their injuries. Occasionally they can rehab one and place it back in the natural habitat. We love them, too. We bought a stuffed manatee toy there in 2004 when we were expecting our first baby. We had been calling the baby "manatee" because pics of early stage fetuses can look like manatees!
  10. [quote name="fowlandfishmommy" post="314722" timestamp= Our family loves some manatees and Fowler was so excited to see them. I don't remember them from last time. Are they new?
  11. I understand the desire to see/get the kids to see as much as possible since it may be a while until you get to go back. We have been blessed when we are there with my in-laws that they will take the kids back to the Fort or hotel while Thrill and I stay in the parks. Our boys were more impressed with bus rides and Fort playgrounds than the parks up to this point. The last trip they were aged 6 and 3. In 2 weeks we go back!!!! At 8 and 5 now they are really excited about doing the parks. We have measured their height and talked about what rides they can do (almost all!) Of course, I am
  12. I'm in, too. We have a planner in the family as well. It is so neat to watch the kiddos get excited about Disney trips. Our oldest told me the other day he was "so excited" about our trip in November. I told him I was glad to hear it but was pretty certain I was even more excited than he was! Hope everything is ok; I will say a little prayer for Erica and whatever is on her heart.
  13. "Ella the girl of the cinders Did the wash and the walls and the winders But she landed a prince who was brawny and blue eyed and blond Still I honestly doubt that she could ever have done it without that Crazy lady with the wand--Cinderella had outside help!" Some days you just have to quote musical theatre....... (Happily Ever After from Once Upon A Mattress)
  14. I was looking in the pic for any numbers or letters that were backwards. But why the pine straw? Really?
  15. I have a friend with APs that has a trip planned for the week after Thanksgiving to see the Christmas decorations. Since they have the passes they are considering a quick November 2-4 trip in the hopes of seeing fall decor. For those of you who are CMs or are there a lot just after Halloween, when is the change over? Is it gradual?
  16. Not this fiend. Got my PYCE (Peddle Your Cookies Elsewhere) email today, too. Oh well, there's always next year ladies!
  17. Maybe this will help. Looking at the logo you can see that Phineas' name starts with a pointy P like his head and Ferb's head is sort of F shaped. Love that show!
  18. . A few years ago our boys got pics with him at the Conservation Station in Animal Kingdom.
