  1. I'm in. Better 3rd page than never. I am thinking that Dave may be right in the eventual bolting of the cars. It may or may not change the ride that much. I mentioned in my TR about our ride car not really swinging side to side because we had the 3 adults on one side and the 3 kids on the other. Weight was NOT evenly distributed. Next time I will pay more attention to that while loading. They could put up signs in the queue suggesting people sit themselves according, but we all know many guests do not read signs. CMs do not have time to tell people to do that while loading - it would
  2. See, I would be weighing the safety factor. Chances are I would fall off the horse and injure myself. But then again, one of my kids could shoot me with an arrow..... Painful to ponder...
  3. But I am "Mo" crazy! Hey, I took the "How Disney obsessed are you?" quiz on Facebook today and got 100%. That has to count for something...
  4. Thanks for all of the photos from Pearl Harbor, Duane. I would really like to visit it myself someday. I have not read that quote you shared - very thought provoking.
  5. Wow! I am so impressed with your salad eating little man. Even our eldest, who will try most any vegetable and is a great eater, will not eat salad. Our youngest? Won't even stand near a vegetable. We do like Living with the Land. Back in January when we took the kids out of school a few days for marathon weekend, our eldest's homework included lots of 3rd grade geometry. We took pics of the greenhouse ceiling and spaceship Earth and taught him about geodesic spheres. We also took pics of the hydroponics area and emailed them all back to his teacher. He got to do a show and tell when w
  6. Thrill and I have been a few times and really enjoyed it. We hope to take the boys maybe on the next trip. Our youngest has been a little nervous about the "scary" movies but is now old enough that we think he will think they are silly. I remember a few years ago I had the best (though maybe not traditional) reuben I have ever had. Definitely worth trying!
  7. Here are a couple of mainstays for us: Recipe: Chicken and Dumpling Bake ©From the Kitchen of Deep South Dish Prep time: 15 min |Cook time: 45 min | Yield: About 8 to 12 servings Ingredients: 3-4 cups of cooked chicken1/4 cup (1/2 stick) of unsalted butter1 cup self-rising flour1 cup milk2 cups chicken stock/broth1 can Campbell's cream of chicken soupInstructions: If you are using fresh, raw chicken, please see cook's notes at the bottom of the recipe. 8. I agree that the media certainly feels the need to state that the people were Disney employees. What they did was dispicable and they should be punished - just like all the other perps in all the other jobs in this country. Exactly! As a christian and a teacher I sadly have to point out that the jobs with the highest percentage of sexual predators are most likely priests/ministers and teachers/coaches. I applaud the systems put into place to deter their hiring (like background checks, fingerprinting, etc.) and swift removal when said perverts are discovered. Just like Disney did.
  9. 'Cause you know, EVERYTHING you see on the internet is TRUE!!! :rofl2:
  10. My sister and her family just did an 11 day (? I think) cruise there with Norwegian. They loved Alaska and were OK with the cruise line. They said it was clean but didn't offer a lot they were interested in. She said the food got really boring after a while (not enough variety). They were glad to be off on excursions most days. They flew to Seattle to board and were dropped off in Vancouver. They took a day to explore on their own there and then flew home.
  11. DisDining.com had this. Maybe a couple new details: From WESH News and WDW News. A Disney World monorail train had to be evacuated Sunday night after what passengers said was a possible lightning strike. Apparently, lightning the beam on the Epcot monorail line this evening, stranding guests inside Monorail Red. The train stopped in the transfer track area where the tractor could not be used to pull the monorail to a safe unloading zone. A very rare instance, the monorail needed to be evacuated via the hatch on the roof with guests pulled down from the elevated vehicle using a cherry picke
  12. And that apple cider jelly in January? Oh, right, it wasn't PIE! (Sorry, not my specialty. Cinnamon roll cake, though......)
  13. Better 3rd page than never! I'm in. Can't wait to hear more.
  14. Gee, thanks, Mr. Can't Follow Directions. Events like this are why (if he indeed had his hand outside the safe confines of the boat) tickets just keep going up. Insurance and lawsuits cost a lot.
  15. So who is going to be the first person to go in the store and set off all the musical costumes so they are in a Frozen round?
  16. Our decal was, like everyone else's, cute but low on the quality meter. I love the jpg though - it is now my desktop. Since we may be changing vehicles in the forseeable future I didn't want to put the decal on the van, nor did I think it would hold up very well. BUT, I did find a little white 4x6 frame that the center park of the decal fits in nicely and it looks much improved sitting on the bookcase!
  17. You don't get points for stopping at the gate to let people off, Mr. (former) Busdriver. Just kidding. If we lived nearby you would have to pry me outta there! Welcome, Meirkat! Glad to have ya. I am slowly catching up on posts. We have found that with larger groups and/or kids we just don't park hop even with it included in our annual passes. Now, if the in-laws have the kids for the day, we do rides at any of the other 3 parks and then dinner at Epcot.....
  18. Chip and Co. posted a correction that the FB post was made back in June. So, he was there recently but not this week. Supposedly...
  19. FINALLY caught up with this thread! Awesome trip report. Beautiful family!
