  1. You got it! We had boarded the boat first and the boys wanted to sit up front. While we waited for the boat to fill I got several pics of this bird. He/she was very cooperative!
  2. I finally got my boys trained to ask before they took them off in the truck or at the resort and then they would only be placed in my backpack. Also, ever since my band got caught on a ride seat and fell off without me noticing, they have to endure me randomly checking that they are snapped well on their wrist throughout the day in the park.
  3. All of the items pictured in above photograph may or may not be permanent fixtures. :protip:
  4. I know they used to have easels set up at the front doors for kids to practice and did classes out there. It looks like this is a great use of space. I definitely suggest going over and checking AoA out. We did that one afternoon on a non-park trip. You can go right into the middle of the resort's outdoor space and see the Little Mermaid pool, the Nemo water play area, the Lion King elephant graveyard/play area (that is where they show the movies at night on the inflatable screen) and, most importantly if you have little boys or love the Cars movies, the Cars area! Here the sidewalks look
  5. This makes a ton of sense. You can learn the moves in a warehouse, but it just wouldn't be right (or professional) to throw newbies into Main Street to a full crowd having never done the moves there. This got me to thinking about when people want to use the theatre/auditorium at Thrill's school the week a show opens. They say, "Hey the show isn't 'til Thursday night. We could have a meeting in there Tuesday." His response? "Do you think we just come in there and open up a can of musical and pour it out on stage on opening night?" You have to rehearse IN the space, people.
  6. We have several bands that are all "active". I believe the limit you can have active is 12? Have fun matching your outfits. Your FP+s are for you - not your band so only 3 FP+ per guest planned in advanced. Once you use those 3 you can go to a kiosk in that park and make another. Use that one (and if time/crowds allow) make another.
  7. Forty-five minutes of my life I will never get back. On more than one occasion (not my choice). Maybe Bill had enough of her and fed her to the dinos.
  8. I'm in. So sad about all the tragedies on the other cruise and also on yours.
  9. Why couldn't they have this menu/prices/kiosk in like, DHS? I already have too many options of amazing food at Epcot.
  10. We LOVE Boma! Of course our other favorite restaurant is Biergarten so it is obvious we like varied flavors. I grew up in a home with fairly bland foods so I have a lot to make up for!
  11. While we are pondering rumors, anyone know the deal about the arcade at the exit of Space Mountain closing? Something to do with new laws concerning internet cafe's? Are we reaching here? Details, anyone? http://www.wdwmagic.com/attractions/tomorrowland-arcade/news/10feb2015-tomorrowland-arcade-now-closed-at-the-magic-kingdom.htm
  12. We love lots of the above mentioned menu items. To stretch the thread a little - if you have a vehicle with you on your trip - the Hess stations on property have good breakfast biscuit sandwiches, decent pizza and other goodies for very reasonable prices.
  13. We occasionally go without park tickets just because we love the Fort and do other things on property like Downtown Disney and and eating at other resorts. I hope they never require tickets!
  14. Great news. Except now the CMs have to answer the age old question of "When is the 3 o'clock parade?" with "12:00 AND 3:00"!
  15. Depends. Ours is pretty big and could do 4 sandwiches. My parents have a small one that would only do 2. I guess it is really like the old George Foreman grills except with the lid attached side centers it doesn't squish out your toppings. Have fun! Don't forget burritos!
  16. OUCH!!! Thanks. I had the bangers and mash with beef stew. It was amazing. Andy had this platter o'meat that was divine. He'll have to pop on and elaborate on it. All I remember right now is that it had black and white pudding. Blood sausage tastes so much better than it sounds! I think I had fussed so much at them about getting dirty at the site right before we were going to go eat or shop that they enjoyed just being let go. (Why do I feel the need to find a mini Elsa to put here? Must fight urge.....) Our panini is a Wolfgang Puck so it is great quality and heavy duty. S
  17. Back to the report! Sunday was to be our last night at the Fort that trip so we had a few more things to accomplish. We shopped at the Settlement and the boys played on the playground. Then we went to the beach and chilled (literally) until the fireworks. The boys loved playing in the sand in the dark. We stayed for the Electric Water Pageant even though we had to run to the tree line to get out of the rain. It pretty much rained the rest of the night. Our tent stayed nice and dry inside, but everything outside was really wet for our Monday morning pack up. We loaded everything up an
  18. Parts of it we love, that is why we want to get a pop up. We like hearing the crickets and some of the tent feel. But, I want a door. I would also like an indoor table and little counter to cook with my panini or use a coffee pot. :camp1:
  19. Welcome! Hey, the trip report is late..... Thanks, TCD. The shirts were a group effort here at home a few years ago. That year Andy ran with a mustache themed shirt and hat. My shirt says "Run Andy". The florescent shirts make us easy to spot. In fact, we were standing in direct sunlight that first year outside AK waiting for him to run by and some other spectators either moved or shielded their eyes from our glow!
  20. Hi Jason! Good for you guys! I enjoy a good walk, but the only running I do is chasing after my 3 "boys"!
  21. Glad you're here! I did not grow up camping. My parents, sister, and I went once and it was miserable. We had no clue what we were doing. Andy's family had a pop up and used it for 30 years at the Fort and even cross country. I am learning/getting mad skills every time we go. In fact, I have had such a feeling of accomplishment after these last 2 trips that staying in a hotel would feel like wimping out. He did. Of course now they have a 5K on Thursday, 10K on Friday, Half marathon on Saturday, Full on Sunday. People who do all of them get the additional Dopey medal. Andy did the 5
