BradyBzLyn...Mo reacted to Tri-Circle-D in Epcot: New Barbecue Restaurant in American Adventure
The next time I’m there, I’m going to take a peek under the cabinet, and I’ll bet I will see Ken’s entire line!

BradyBzLyn...Mo reacted to Tri-Circle-D in 2020 Fort Wilderness Construction Update
A quick update on the little construction project near the Bike Barn from Saturday, February 22:

As seen in the photos, they’re getting ready to pour a slab.
According to a CM in the Bike Barn, this indeed is going to be a new and improved gem washing station.

BradyBzLyn...Mo reacted to Disneymommaof6 in Bike left for Free use by campers
I left Fort Wilderness on Friday, February 14, 2020 after a month long stay (sigh). We bought bikes at a pawn shop. We left one of the bikes for anyone who would like to use it in a bike rack behind the now defunct chuck wagon at the Campfire Singalong ( near the 1400 loop comfort station). It is a blue, single speed, old fashioned Huffy bike. I would love for the bike to be used and then left for the next campers who need it. If you see it or use it please tag me so I can know if it’s still there- FW may dispose of it. Thanks and I hope someone is able to enjoy biking at the Fort.

Well, the Regal Eagle Smokehouse is open!
You probably already know that, because all the usual bloggers and vloggers have already posted their rave reviews.
It seems like a hit. Everyone particularly seems to like the different and unique special barbecue sauces created for the new restaurant, which are available at the sauce bar.
The TCD gang didn’t make it to opening day, but we did make it last weekend. I had to wait at the sauce bar while a CM replenished the signature sauce, and this is what I saw:

BradyBzLyn...Mo reacted to fladogfan aka Gretchen in UPDATE 12/18 BP CHANGES !! Rise of the Resistance Bummer 12/4
Retired cast are blocked out of HS through April and I won't be surprised if the blocking goes all summer. I want to give a big THANK YOU to the WWz who got together and bought me a ticket to HS so I could join them last Saturday. I had a really good time and was thankful for the ones with experience and fast phones so we were able to ride. I look forward to the days when WDW gets the ride working consistently and has something newer to draw people away from HS.

The Womenz rode Saturday. We were all in the park 30 minutes before opening. We got into the masses and also parked ourselves near one of the Blue umbrellas guest experience staff. We did manage to get 7 of the 8 of us in a backup boarding group. For some reason, person number 8 wasn't on our list. We then turned to the Blue umbrella person and they were able to add our number 8 person. We then proceeded to Smugglers Run and then the rest of our day. Our boarding group was called about 3:30 pm, but we were in Muppets, so when we left Muppets, we headed over, and the ride had shut down. Instead of waiting near the entrance like lemmings, we decided to go to Rontos Roasters for a snack and a seat. Once it started up again, we went back over and had about a 90 minute time in line due to about 8 boarding groups showing up at once. The ride was amazing, but it was stressful. My 2 year old Note 8 never even showed the button to register for a boarding group. In the future, I'm going to park myself near the Blue Umbrella, hand them our Magic Bands, and let them put us in a group.

BradyBzLyn...Mo got a reaction from Breezy2 in Parking Class C at cabin
Don't worry too much about that. The reservation CMs are nowhere near the Fort and there's a darned good chance the person he talked to has never even been there.
If you don't do online check-in you can talk with an actual Fort CM when you get there and explain it to them.
If you do online check-in you can just go to your site and take a chance they'll just ignore your RV in the drive (kind of the "ask forgiveness instead of permission" scenario). Worst case you may get a "love note" telling you to move it.

The cabin driveways are very short. A 22’ motor home won’t fit in most of them, and the rules say all wheels must be on the pavement. You might be able to park your Class C outside your cabin, but I wouldn’t count on it.

HOORAY!!!
When the Muppets Courtyard fountain was revealed after refurbishment, we were happy at the return of a perfectly polished Miss Piggy, but somewhat downtrodden at the sight that the fishing rats had been left out even after the fountain was turned back on. Today, we are pleased to inform our readers that the fishing rats are back!

BradyBzLyn...Mo got a reaction from Tri-Circle-D in WDW Ticket price increased
Ahhh... I remember those times well. Back when there were still regularly 1-2am EMH at MK and if you stuck around past midnight you could pretty much walk on anything you wanted to.
Good times...

Agreed and the earlier 2000's were even better.

Leftovers.
A plus for booking a package though is if you cancel it before final payment you can get a full refund if you need it. With the ticket only purchase they are non-refundable.

One thing though, is if you do online checkin and get your site number sent to you, Camper Rental Adventures will go ahead and set up once you give them the site number. That's what we did last year when the Womenz rented from them. I was at Wal-Mart picking up groceries when I got my text, and I let Camper Rental Adventures know my site number, and they had it set up before I arrived.

BradyBzLyn...Mo reacted to Tri-Circle-D in 2020 Fort Wilderness Construction Update
I popped by the Fort today and saw a few things.
First, there’s a small construction project getting started in the grassy area between the Meadow pool and the Bike Barn. This is where they had that gem mining station a couple of years ago. Maybe it’s coming back?
Next, a crew of about half a dozen men was getting ready to put up a brand new sign at the dog park:
The new barn is coming along. It’s a nice building, but it really doesn’t fit with the Fort theme. I guess they didn’t want something too rustic in sight of the new Reflections Resort:
This is a peek through the fence behind the Settlement Bus Stop. You probably don’t recognize what you’re looking at. I am sorry to say that this was where Tri-Circle-D Farm was. It’s all gone. Everything:
Note all the huge piles of dirt in the second to last photo. There are dump trucks running non stop through the Fort bringing all of that in, and bulldozers busily moving piles around. It was noisy as heck in the 700 loop. I guess we all better get used to that.

Well one of the 2 currently authorized rental companies rents exclusively luxury coaches, so I don't see why Airstreams wouldn't fly. 🙂
Oh and welcome to Fort Fiends!

I don't seen Adams Bus Conversion but they are a very small manufacturer.

BradyBzLyn...Mo got a reaction from djsamuel in Regular Premium Site
Also agree. One note from experience - there are a few sites about halfway through the loop on the outside that back up fairly closely to the sidewalk on the main road. This might be a good thing if you want easy access to that sidewalk but if you don't, avoid those sites if you can. In our case we had dogs with us and having people walking by that closely wasn't ideal.

BradyBzLyn...Mo got a reaction from Strawberry Moon in Greenberg Rentals
The more I poke around the more I believe that Elite Camper Rentals is not Greenberg - but then what do I know?
They did pop up right around the time Greenberg was falling apart, but that may just mean that someone who knew what was going on had the foresight to say "hmm... and opening in the market..."
Where it gets hinky is that there are a few people on FB and other message boards "screaming" (in all caps) that Elite = Greenberg. Hence the cease & desist.
