  1. traveltrailerrent: We love all new members, but please get to know us first and join the group, don't join and spam us!! There are GREAT advertising rates on this site.
  2. I know Tent Camping Mom has a Copper Canyon and are pleased with it.
  3. TCD knows about this site and says he will be along when he's ready. He's still pretty pissed about the other place.
  4. Right now we are there through Saturday, still looking for Saturday night!
  5. Depends on the trip. For the most part, the camper stays packed year round. For this upcoming trip on the 8th, I'll get in from travel on the 7th, Rick is going to lay everything out he can on the bed (we only need clothes). I'll load the heavy stuff in the truck, we'll hitch up and put the clothes in the drawers. I have to go to work on the 8th for a couple of hours to plug the laptop back into the network and fill out my travel voucher(s) and timecard, and then we're off!! When we get up on the 9th, we'll find out which Fiends are gonna be around and find out if we're doing any cookouts,
  6. However, as an "out of stater" unless your next trip is within a couple weeks of your renewal date, it is more cost effective to get a new annual pass. When they had the 15 month renewals, it worked out for us to renew, but every other time we have just gotten "new" annual passes. The reason for this is renewals start from the day your old pass expires. New annual passes start on first day of use, so there is no sense in paying for several months of nonuse if you don't have to.
  7. We would use 20 park days, but we MIGHT spend a couple of hours TOPS each day in a park. However, we have ridden just about every attraction, seen every shop, and eaten in almost all of the restaurants. We are foodies at WDW and our trips basically revolve around relaxing at the Fort and then having a nice dinner, then we "MIGHT" head into a park for a couple of hours before or after dinner.
  8. There are limited discounts for passholders at the campground, plus if you are not from Florida, purchasing the AP entitles you to purchase the Tables in Wonderland discount card which allows you to have 20% off table service meals if that is something you like.
  9. Oh wow, we were just talking about that at work last night. One of our team mates said he met the person who was the coronor for the crew when they found the capsule. They were alive when they hit the water and a some of them survived the impact and their cause of death was drowning. I was just shocked when I heard that cause it sounds like they threw everything out the window that they learned from Apollo missions
  10. The problem with the animation studio is that it is a pale shadow of it's former self. When there were real animators there working on a picture, that was fun to watch!! I saw them working on Mulan AND Lilo and Stitch.
  11. We don't spend a lot of time there either. We usually start with an 8am breakfast at Hollywood & Vine, then rush to Toy Story Mania, then get Fast Passes, then we wander through One Man's Dream, then MuppetVision 3D, then the Great Movie Ride, then FP for TSM, then we're done.
  12. I am sooo happy POFQ is getting queen beds!! We're staying there after the cruise!! We can actually both fit on a queen bed :-)
  13. There is a great deal right now for military: I found it on the Disney Website under special offers: http://bookwdw.reservations.disney.go.com/ibcwdw/en_US/specialOfferDetails?name=Promo&promotionCode=fy11military&market=fy11military
  14. We have a LOT more fun at Blizzard Beach than Fantasia Gardens.... Let's just say there are a LOT more opportunities for silly pictures :-) I was laughing so hard I couldn't stand up anymore :-) I didn't realize they were so small, I "borrowed" them from a friend's Flickr page
  15. You know though every time I rationalize to myself that the money is not worth it and we stay elsewhere (either at a Disney resort, or offsite), I go visit the Fort and literally KICK myself the entire time for not just biting the bullet and stay at the Fort. I feel so lost when not staying there.
  16. Here are the 2011 Seasons. They change slightly every year depending on the calendar New Years Jan 1 Value 1/2-2/17 (exceptions below) Marathon 1/6-1/8 Martin Luther King Jr. 1/14-1/16 Peak 2/18-4/30 President's Day 2/18-2/20 Easter 4/17-4/30 Regular 5/1-8/6 Independence Day 7/1 - 7/3 Value 8/7-11/17 Columbus Day 10/7-10/9 Pre-Holiday 11/18-12/15 Thanksgiving 11/19 -11/25 Holiday 12/16 - 12/31
  17. You can't make it "financially feasible". From what I understand, there is no "work camping" at the Fort. You stay as a regular guest and get the same discounts that any other guest is eligible for. There are CM discounts on reservations, but I'm pretty sure they are few and far between. I know there are a few people staying at the Fort and working there, but they have other financial means for their accommodations and are just working for the theme park perks and some miniscule discounts.
  18. I used to LOVE counted cross stitch. However, I think the last project I did was my youngest son's birthdate sampler (and he will be 24 in October)
