  1. Thank you for the report and pictures TCD. We won't be down this year and it's lovely to see the Parade and Castle.
  2. We've used this a couple of times as well and they are excellent; escpecially for Canadians it's nice to have something so close and not have to hunt around. Both times we found the cost pretty reasonable, less than $200, and they provided a detailed receipt so we could file a claim once we got home.
  3. I agree, sensationalism. When we first started going to Florida one of the first things we were told by the Floridians we met was if "there is water, there are going to be 'gators". Everyone said, if you can't see to the clear bottom of where you're swimming assume 'gators. It just goes with the territory. Kind of like scuba diving - if you're in the ocean there will likely be sharks somewhere, or baraccuda - either way don't be stupid and go looking for trouble. And I agree "idiot guests feed the darn things". Silly twits!
  4. If the tree is inside what did they do outside? If anything?
  5. I see this is the same restaurant group that operates Via Napoli and Tutto Italia at Epcot. The food there is usually pretty good. Since I assume they have the Tutto Gusto as well that menu would likely be similar to what the Enzo's Hideaway might serve?
  6. We've done a number of the tours over the years as our "special" treat. We prefer them to the various "parties" since they are so much more interesting and infromative. We've done the Keys to the Kingdom at MK - it was very good - the guide was excellent. Did the Beheind the Seeds tour at Epcot - enjoyed it very much - fascinating to see the technolgies they are using. Did a tour once during Garden Festival that took us through all of Epcot very early in the morning to see all the planning and planting that went into the Festival and how they designed everything and watered etc
  7. I agree with you it is veeerrry interesting that there is available inventory since more than one person I know has tried to just add a couple of days to existing reservations in that time period. I am also veeeerrrryyyyy sure - in fact down right positive - that it will be an exceptionally good deal for Disney because it always is!!
  8. Us too - we loved our pet and for 8 years she acted like the world was coming to an end when she even saw the suitcases come out - but she adored the local kid who came in 3 and 4 times a day to walk, feed and play with her - who would take her home with him and sometimes to school for the whole class to play with. She hated car travel so would have been miserable in the van all the way to the Fort and back. We were fortunate enough to be able to have a wonderful arrangement that kept her right here at home up until she was no more. We could go away for weeks at a time knowing she was
  9. And it was free!!! The best part of some events at Disney is the people watching.
  10. I think it's unfortunate that Fort guests can't use the gym at WL any more. It was always nice for the folks who stayed for a month or so in the winter to go and use the equipment. We had a gentleman near us one year who was using the gym for his rehabilitation from surgery and he said at the time if he hadn't known he could do that he wouldn't have been able to come down that year. I guess it's just another sign that campers don't count for much in the overall Disney scheme of things. It's too bad, but not surprising.
  11. As long as the Disney Bean Counters think there is even one thin dime to be made by having any kind of link to anything else, movie, tv show, whatever; there will be a tie in. It's all about the $$$$$$$$$$ now.
  12. We caught this a couple of times on our last trip and it is seriously good. We haven't been able to spot the controller either but the interaction with the crowd are excellent and no sense of "delay". Since I am always the "faithful assistant" for all my hubby's projects I love Beaker!!
  13. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant! And this is what we love about Disney!
  14. That's what we did - drinks and an app - hubby had the Parlour Trick and I had the Magic Mirror, with an order of the fries - and yes expensive but quite fun to watch the animations that happen inside the bar. Unfortunately we were there right at 5 and we decided that it would be better after dark if there wasn't so much light coming in from outside. Still fun though. But, as with many things Disney once at that price was enough! LOL - much like Trader Sam's, one's wallet can only take so many hits!
  15. That is going to be hard TCD, seriously hard !!! - but I will do my best to like all these evil things!
  16. I'm going to go with the statement that there are some of us; your oldest daughter included, who have excellent, very discrimating taste. The problem is NOT with us, but with the rest of the world. And that's going to be my storey going forward!
  17. We have come to the conclusion that our liking/enjoying anything at WDW is "the kiss of death" for whatever it is. Be it a particular coffee shop, a favourite item on a menu, a favourite wine or drink, a show, a parade, or a fireworks show. If we like it, guarantee it's a goner!!
  18. Oh lordy - buy another private island - raise the cost of WDW even more to pay for it!!!
