  1. Not in my lifetime; so long as there are people to pay they will be there to collect!
  2. I will very much miss Illuminations. It has always been my very favourite show at WDW. Every time that globe comes out and the music swells my throat chokes up and I feel the tears in my eys. Now we have to get down this year just to see it as many times as possible before it's gone forever. Phooey to Disney!!!
  3. Problem is people seem to now view "history" based on what we know/think/do today! Somehow or another history has to be "re-written" to match up with today's standards without considering that it was our history that led to what are today's standards, ethics, discoveries and knowledge. Every time I read a piece in the paper or hear something on the news I'm left thinking I must be pretty ignorant and that maybe I didn't acutally go to school or university or get a graduate degree in history, because now all that I learned is being re-written to be more "modern" and more "acceptable".
  4. Yep!!!!! Tent and pop-up $135 at Xmas!!!!!! (and that's before I convert it to Canadian $$$) It makes hotels look better and better. No need for the camper anymore.
  5. Yummy and thank you - I can get raspberry liquour here at the local LC - and I can get blackbarry brandy as well I am pretty sure. Will simply have to try both versions.
  6. Perhaps someone could kindly repost that Kungaloosh recipe from FWG???? Pretty please
  7. The museum is interesting - in some ways though it seems almost "quaint" when you look at what's happending at WDW. It makes me very nostalgic!!! But all of SF is fun. It's a very walkable city if you like to do that. We have stayed several times at a very nice campground (KOA Petaluma) just North of SF and then, rather then park downtown we just drove down to the ferry and took it across to the harbour. You can spend the day roaming around and then catch the ferry back whenever you like. It avoids having to find parking which is at a real premium!!!! Enjoy the city - it's
  8. Fiends are very good at unravelling things - especially mysteries - they always find the information and plans that the rest of us "need to know"
  9. Ratatouille?????? Where would they shoehorn that in?
  10. Thanks for the pictures TCD - they really show how the "look" around the Lodge has been changed. Not sure how I feel about that. Just a thought but maybe the tree got a ribbon beause it's going to be the last one standing!!!
  11. I think the current management wants their own "new" culture and it has nothing to do with Walt's legacy or anything that can be deemed "old". For me this also ties into the other thread here about the "magic being gone". The magic we all used to feel was in the enchantment we all felt when we visited WDW. The delight at the wonder of it all. We even felt the CMs exhibited their own delight at their employment in a magical place. We have become a cynical, narcisistic, self-centered society. Nobody believes in anything "magical" anymore. So Disney management feels no need to pro
  12. That is beautiful - love the colour and pattern. That looks revolting!!! You are indeed brave to take the hit for us all !
  13. Good Grief Charlie Brown!!!! More money than brains. Or how about "a fool and his money are soon parted".
  14. Since I live vicariously through TCD's Fort trip reports I'm delighted to see a new one.
  15. Is it the 1500 loop by any change? That's the favourite!!!!
  16. TCI if you stay at the Four Seasons take lots of picture so we can see what the Fort looks like from the rich side of the canal!!!!
  17. So again the average Joe Shmoo, who managed to scrape together the 2K for tickets, and another 2K for food, just to take his little average family to Disney for that once in a lifetime experience is going to be trampled, squished, hit, and generally bullied and still not be able to see the Castle show and fireworks. I'm getting sadder all the time.
  18. Yes - been three times and it was great every time. You customize the entire pizza and for just over $10.00 it's a great deal. Especially for WDW . Didn't care for the wines they serve but hubby said the beer was ok. Your pictures and descriptions of the buildings and concepts behind Disney Springs have been great. Much clearer than anything we could find to sort the place out. Thank you
  19. Nope I don't think I can - just the video makes my stomach churn - add to that the discussions about the restraints and if I felt I couldn't "get free" i would be afraid of having a melt-down
  20. Thank you Jason - watched it again and finally saw Tinkerbell. My second viewing wasn't much more enjoyable than the first I wasn't drinking yet either but agree the story is virtually non-existant. I still find if very frenetic, almost choppy to view. It's like they tried to cram in clips from every current movie - whether they belonged together or not. The fireworks are spectacular as always but the whole thing is just to busy for me. And I too prefer Tink flying at the beginning, not the end.
  21. I watched the link above - not impressed, nothing very "Walt" about it - but I was a Wishes fan. Maybe I missed it but I didn't see Tinkerbell???
  22. Silly people - sometimes it's just nice to ride around the park. It's like riding the rails at Magic Kingdom - a chance to just rest and enjoy the sights. I loved inside the Castle and your pictures were wonderful - what a fantastic opportunity !!
