  1. I have never really liked BOG anyway. Been there twice each time it felt super rushed and food not worthy of the price unless the experience is factored in. My kids don't give a rip about seeing the Beast, and I surely don't care. So we are better off going elsewhere. I do see the appeal, though. If we were on a "once in a lifetime" type of trip like someone people take I would probably be clamoring for the ressy. But we are jaded AP holders.
  2. I'm out on this change. For that kind of $ I'll be at Artist Point or California Grill
  3. There's a new station on Reams Rd that is fairly close. Go past the CR, through the backstage area, turn right onto Reams and the station is immediately on the left.
  4. Responsibility fell on the one who didn't do the utility locate correctly. It wasn't our fault....but it did cost a lot of money to repair. They worked all night on it.
  5. I once punched through a 40 pair cable that supplied all of alabama dept of transportation. Everyone affected went home early that day....good times.
  6. Finally, I have read this entire thread. Great TR, Dave. I am glad we were able to meet up on 2 of these trips. BTW, my kids went to Dollywood with the grandparents, and they were not impressed. I was hoping they would be, because I would like to visit. I think they are just spoiled by Disney. I may take them again for another try.
  7. Wtf....is there a road above him? Surely he didn't go up there.
  8. Yeah no kidding....or I could buy some more equipment that would actually make money...decisions decisions
  9. I would have "fallen" out over some water. Free trips for life.
  10. My truck broke down halfway on our 550 mile tow. We spent the night in the camper at a truck stop. I called a friend to pick up our fiver and put the truck on a rollback back to my shop. Cost me a day and a little over $1k. We continued on in a different vehicle and stayed with in-laws. Having the truck fixed locally wasn't an option because my shop could handle it for the cost of my time only.
  11. In Alabama your vehicle is an extension of your home and a permit is not required to carry a gun locked securely inside. Also employers can't stop employees from having a gun in their car as long it is secured. All states touching Alabama have reciprocity for gun laws. The Fort can pound sand.
  12. I usually browse through a few times a day. Although I find myself getting my fix on facebook and YouTube more these days. Our Disney/Fort love is strong. 5 trips/5 weeks this year. No time for TR's though. Running a business and working a full time job barely leaves time for family, much less computer time.
  13. You're too kind. I am just a poorly educated sharecropper.
  14. I left mine because we had 3 trips in 3 months. The money that I saved in fuel went a long way to pay for the rent. Plus I saved 2,200 miles worth of wear and tear.....and 2,200 miles worth of running 80mph not 65. The bathroom is not a big deal for us. We usually only stop once or twice. Our last 2 trips have been 1 stop trips. We fill up the fuel and bellies, empty the bladders and hammer down.
  15. I did that this year too. I left ours in Clermont in March, used it in April, then in June we took it back home.
  16. Yep, we have put 5 trips and about 30 days on our AP's this year. I will squeeze half of the next trip on spring break before they renew. The cost is not bad at all when you look at how many days we used them. Plus as of right now the Fort is my favorite place to relax under the awning. I really do wish it were closer though, but after 5 trips this year the drive doesn't seem as long as it used to be.
  17. I picked up a few days for Spring Break 2018.....$175 a night for premium...that stings a little.
  18. Never had an issue getting our discount. I normally tell the server upfront and put my AP card in with my credit card. Very rarely has my ID been checked.
  19. My youngest daughter got a guinea pig the other day. I told her if it we decided not to keep it that I was going to eat it. They are widely eaten in south America. I wanted to named it Stir Fry.
  20. I have an AP and have made more than 7 days worth of FP. Strange
